I got my daughter’s birthday cake from here yesterday, vanilla strawberry cake! It was amazing! Delicious and fresh.will come again for sure. Highly recommend it

Employees are very nice. We bought a "pistachio" Birthday cake, it only tasted like vanilla. The consistency was like whipped cream. Not satisfied.

They have a great variety of delicious cookies, IF you are lucky to catch them fresh. Three times I have gone home and the cookies have dried out to the point of throwing them away.
There should be a date saying when they were made.
Unfortunately they lost my business!

I love there cakes

But the way they present there cakes the package is too big slips and hits the side
And make a mess

No plastic around the cake to protect

What kind of a manager blames the client when she does a f—- Job

My husband bought 2 Cannoli and 2 zeppole on Friday Mar 24,2023 at 1: 40pm to surprise me after work. The Zeppole were spot on! Really fresh and tasty! I gave 2 stars for that, and -3 stars because the 2 big cannoli’s I bought unfortunately were only filled on the edges. Both of them were missing filling through out the middle. Its really sad because it wasn't busy at all, employees were conversing, I was the only client there, yet I got this sad surprise let down when I got home. I love all your baked goods but this was depressing, what happened guys?: (

Human error, problem solved, everything was fresh and tasty and piped well this time around! Good customer service.

Cakes are good but not made from high quality ingredients. I went in for some Zeppole and let me tell you I was shocked. They are now charging $5.00 and up for 1 Zeppola. I noticed there was little ricotta cheese mostly whipped cream.
I know things are going up but this is pure gouging. Good luck affording these exhorbitant prices if you have a family with kids.

On March 11th when I arrived to the location, they gave me a frozen limoncello cake. I told the girl that I didn’t want a frozen cake, we were celebrating this evening and I cant wait 5hrs for it to be defrosted, she said if I leave it out it would thaw quicker. I explained to her that I ordered my cake 6 days before, not have it thaw out on the day of. She said there weas nothing she could do, if I wanted to change the cake.

My choice that afternoon was; a red velvet mascarpone and a strawberry shortcake. Its not that the cake tasted bad, but its not what I wanted. Both cakes had fruits on it and the limoncello doesn’t. For someone who likes fruits on their cake they would appreciate the choices, but I found it disappointing. I’m not sure if this happens often but someone in management should know that this happened. We spent 45$ on a cake that we didn’t enjoy. I explained that this isn’t the cake we chose and I don’t like the options they had, she just nodded and said sorry, there was no refund offered. I left with the mascarpone. This event makes me reluctant to order again.

Got the red velvet Christmas log on the 23rd put it in the fridge right away and it was hard by the 24th. You could even see that some of the cake was a different colour. Really sad because got this same cake before and it was delicious!

Ordered my baby shower cake from there it was a 2 tier cake one tier Strawberry Shortcake and one Tier Pistachio. Not only was the cake exactly like the picture and better but the taste! OMG phenomenal! If you love 3D cakes but hate always wasting it because the taste never matches the look or vice versa, then don’t even waste your time looking Delices Lafrenaie is the place for you no questions asked!

A bit of a line up today being Christmas Eve but the staff is friendly and working diligently to try to get everyone served.always worth the wait.

RUDE and IMPOLITE staff! I have bought there 3 times a year for the past 8 years. I am done with them. Last time they made a mistake with my daughter's birthday cake and now at the Pointe Claire location they were extremely rude, telling me how my question about the layers and cream percentage was ridiculous and i am the first to ask this type of question in 40 years. According to them "a cake is a cake no matter how much cream there is inside".

Bought an 8 inch "death by chocolate" and it was sinfully lovely.enough for the Mrs to forget the diet she was on.

I ordered my wedding cake during the pandemic at Lafrenaie, it was a small intimate wedding. The first time we went, it was just fine, but the second time we went to finalize everything, the young man there was just so rude, didn't stop rolling his eyes at us, barely wanted to talk to us and didn't want to help us communicate what we wanted to the main branch, We finally got their email and sent an email with what we wanted. I was okay with all of this because I knew Lafrenaie had a good reputation, till the day of my wedding when I saw the wedding cake, it was completely different from what I have asked for and I linked both pictures below for you to see. It was pretty expensive and that was fine for us because we knew we would get what we are paying for. It was so disappointing to see it. I was expecting a more accurate replication of the picture I have sent. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the taste was good. But other than that, the aesthetics of the cake and the customer service were so terrible I can't even imagine. So disappointed that it had to happen the day of my wedding.

My Mom is nuts about their “crepe” cake, with thin crepes sandwiched with chantilly vanilla whipped cream and berries on top. It comes in chocolate, too. Their cakes are all yummy. Thank you for making delicious desserts.

J'ai acheté le gâteau aux canoles et il était vraiment pas bon. Les canolis étaient mous et ça goutait l'huile, la crème avait pas de gout, au milieu le tiramisu était rempli d'eau. Très déçue. Je m'attendais a beaucoup plus que cela. Mauvaise expérience.

They don't accept VISA! In this time and age? I keep forgetting and walking in there to purchase and have to put everything back and walk out empty handed. But, love their tomato pizza, which you can get a day old piece for $1.75, delish!

We absolutely love their strawberry shortcakes. Wonderful, yet simple balance of flavors and textures. I just wouldn't order them late December during the holiday season. Strawberry not in season. Demand is likely too high and corners are cut.

Looking for a cake to help feed a group of about 18 people? They got numerous options for you at a price that cannot be beat. Just remember, they have a small assortof ready to eat cakes as most of their cakes are frozen, so don't forget to leave time (4+ hours depending on size) for the cakes to thaw out.

We had two custom made cakes done for a 70th and 90th Birthday. Not only were they done beautifully they were delicious.
Next special event I will definitely go back.

You guys in Montreal are spoiled! Walk up the streets of New York on the upper east side and try to find cakes or pastries as fantastic as Lafrenaie’s. Forget trying to find one that makes rectangular sheet pan tomato pizzas. I remember those pizzas from my youth bought only in StLeonard and cakes from the first Lafrenaie in StLeonard. The cakes are of prize winning quality and the prices are way too low. A plain average cake in NY will cost you at least$150.00! I’m visiting friends in Kirkland and was so thrilled to hear that Lafrenaie was in the West Island. My first trip I bought 4 pizzas and cannoli among other things. Now I’m trying to figure out how to have your stuff FedExed to New Jersey! Keep up the great products you sell, Your staff, especially Sarah, were extremely kind and fast. Although I’d wait an hour any day for your stuff. Thank You!

Is impatient and never smiled the three times I've gone to this place. In fact it seems the faster you leave the better. She couldn't be bothered with you. Very bad for business, the brossard location is wonderful the ddo location lost my business. I'll get my cakes elsewhere in the west island. There were maybe 2 customers in the store and she was acting like there was a lineup at the door. She also had another employee with her. She never smiled once or made any effort to engage with me as a customer at all except to get what I asked for which were a few dried out calzones which tasted like they were sitting there for 3 days and over cooked. No smile no service just hurry up and get out. Like she hates what she does.

Very good pastries and bread. Cold cuts and pizza too. Service is slow when there are more than three customers so timing is crucial.

They make the coolest custom cakes and make the best desert food for a party or just for a personal indulgence. The staff is friendly and always eager to help you out.

Pretty good. To me, all bakeries are alike. They all taste the same. Cheese cake, strawberry shortcakes, etc.pretty expensive too. Rather go to iga for a bigger and cheaper cake.
