Terrible food cooked unprofessionally - you’d do better reheating frozen leftovers.long wait.staff are nice but what’s the point if the place can’t balance its onsite and uberfood traffic.don’t waste your dinner dollars here when there’s so much good food to be had in the hood.

All the dishes are American sized potions. Do not over order.
You will be stuffed.

Fidèle habituée de la Poutine Tao Végé, la dernière commande a été particulièrement décevante. Le poulet frit est maintenant en morceaux, bien que plus pratique, la quantité a été fortement réduite. La portion dans son entièreté est bien moins généreuse. La sauce brune était granuleuse et peu savoureuse,

La nourriture est très bonne avec de belles portions. La terrasse est également très bien. Elle est située derrière le restaurant pouvant permettre davantage de calme et d'intimité.

We stopped in here twice on our Montreal visit, just for drinks and snacks. The bartenders and waiters were friendly and efficient; the drinks delicious (my red wine-drinking friend loved their red) ; the small bites quite good.

Accueil sympathique, cadre très agréable, la poutine délicieuse et les spare ribs aussi. Parfait avec les enfants, nous reviendrons!

We needed a place for dinner that took reservations, was tastey, unique, and had the food staples. Bingo. Very welcoming environment and good food that was reasonably priced. The inside was really cute and the patio looked awesome. I got their classic poutine, I would recommend. Another got tuna tartare, I want that next time. And another tacos such looked yummy. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. They as well had a bar with beer on the tap, wine list, and had a pretty extensive and delicious looking cocktail menu.

Être témoin d’une situation où un employé se fait engueuler, humilier devant nous, ça dispose à ne pas apprécier l’expérience. Je regrette d’y avoir dépenser 120$. C’était sans aucun doute la dernière fois. Service ordinaire, bouffe sans distinction et un manque de savoir vivre du pseudo -gestionnaire.

Ordered the vegan mac and cheese to go, it was basically just like paying 20 for cooking plain noddles I could've done at home. Very disappointing.

I’ve been a long time customer and have had many good experiences but today was not the best. There was a mistake on our bill, they charged us for a drink we didn’t order, but I only realized after I had paid. The manager refused to refund me on the card that I paid with, saying she wasn’t authorized. She offered to give me cash instead but only for the value of the item before tax and tip. When I said that wasn’t acceptable she said “fine, it’s going to take a few minutes then”. After waiting 20 minutes she offered to give me a cash equivalent with tax & tip or to wait until someone could “get back to me” if I wanted to be refunded on my card. She said it was out of her hands and only upper management are allowed to authorize refunds using the machine. I feel bad for her, as a manager, that she is not able to solve an issue which should be very simple. Seems like they don’t have trust in their employees, which is concerning as a patron. It’s unfortunate because the food was good, our server was nice and the ambiance of the terrace is lovely, but the way things ended left a sour taste. Hopefully “Upper Management” will change their policies and empower their managers to give the customer the best experience possible, especially in a situation where they made the mistake.

Delicious burgers and beers. Tantalizing cocktails and a sweet patio. Good tunes at a reasonable volume.

Temps d’attente désastreux; pas seulement entre les services mais aussi en attendant la facture. Le mac n’ cheese vegan, selon mon copain, fut « à peine une coche de plus que du Kraft dinner ». La poutine végane n’était pas cuisinée mais rangée dans le bol en étages: frites trop salées, fromage pâteux et un ou deux oignons verts perdus dans le plat. Malgré la gentillesse de la serveuse, le temps d’attente et la médiocrité de la nourriture ont gâché notre expérience.

Very nice, clean establishment with a trendy but relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were delicious.

Le service était extrêmement long (ça nous a pris 52 minutes être servi après notre commande) mais la serveuse c'est excuser et nous a donner notre repas gratuitement. La nourriture en tant que telle est très bonne. La terrasse sur la cour arrière est magnifique

Le service laisse vraiment à desirer, bcp d'attente, au final j'ai dressé moi-même ma table avec les ustensiles de la table à côté. La nourriture est ordinaire, nous n'avons pas été servis en même temps et qui plus est la nourriture était froide. Il y avait des traces de moisissure sur le pain. Un geste ou au moins des excuses auraient été bienvenus. Plus jamais.

Great food, very indulgent and comfort oriented menu. We went on a Saturday around 8 and had to wait about 20 mins for a table (we were a group of 5) and only after we had sat at the table for 15 mins were we told the kitchen had an hour long wait for any food orders. That was a bit annoying and we wish we'd known that earlier so we could have gone somewhere else for food. However, the food was delicious and serving sizes huge. Also the prices were awesome!

Quick: this place must be advertised as a drink and snack joint. If you are hungry, do not go there.

So let's start with the positive
- excellent Ceasars. I had the mini burger one and both drink and food were delicious.
- nice decor and very cute backyard terrasse.

Now with the rest:
- water glasses were not very clean, nor was the girls bathroom
- one of my friend is gluten intolerent so we were excited to come here for all the many gluten free buns on the menu. She ordered a vegan burger with a gluten free bun (2$ extra). After 10 min, the waitress comes back and tells us that there was no gluten free bread left. It was a tuesday at 6PM. How come you were missing a key ingredient that was on 50% of the menu. She offered to serve the vegan burger in a lettuce bun and as per her description, that sounded nice and yummy. Well.tadaaaa it wasnt. Just two lettuce leaves and a vegan burger in between. Nothing nice and not tasty at all.

- The pudding chomeur wasnt good at all. Tasted like they put no maple syrup in it at all.

- the service was very okay. Not the best. We waited a long time to get the drinks, the food and the bill.

Resto vraiment nice pour un brunch d’après brosse, Elsa nous a très bien servi, give her a promotion!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
THIS IS NOT A VEGAN FRIENDLY RESTAIRANT! They dont care about serving meat to you. "mistakes happen" is what I was given as an apology? ! Seriously! This place is a joke to anyone looking for a vegan options! And from the looks of it, I am not the first one this happens to. LET ALL VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS BOYCOTT L'GROX LUXE.they mock us by serving meat when they probably run out of their vegan ingredients and think we won't notice! Shame to the owner and manager and cooking staff.as its obvious there is no chef with any kind of pride in that kitchen. I shudder to think about the lack of organization that kitchen must be like! Uncaring staff and no prideful owner would let this kind of mistake happen. HORRIBLE! I WILL BE SICK FOR DAYS AND THEY HAVENT HEARD THE LAST OF ME!

Arrived around Noon on a Sunday, we were seated promptly but didn't receive service for well over 20 minutes until I went in to ask if there was a server for our table. The bartender took our order and said they were down staff but the place was not busy. I would have preferred if they just apologized and then stepped up their game. Ordered the Billy le kid Caesar - topping were great but the caesar itself was watered down and tasteless. Our food came out in ~30 mins. Fried chicken and the classic were awful. Stale bacon, overcooked eggs. The huevos rancheros was ok. And the burger was a small patty for the size of the bread but more frighteningly cooked medium rare at best.stopped eating it part way through and now hoping for the best. Asked for a bill that never came, so we went inside and waited around to pay. Messed up the bills as well but we were too exhausted to do anything about it. Noffer to discount. Hands down the worst brunch experience in Montreal.

It was good! Ambiance is not as good as the one that closed down, but I still loved the food service was great! Highly recommend you try this place

Excellente nourriture avec de bons choix pour les végétariens. On en ressort le ventre plein et le sourire aux lèvres.

Très très déçu de notre expérience. Nous avions RÉSERVÉ pour 6 personnes un samedi soir. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés nous avions deux tables de 2 personnes collés ensemble avec 6 chaises. Nous étions coincés comme des sardines. Il y avait une table de 2 personnes de libre à coté de nous et nous avons demandé s'il était possible de la coller afin d'avoir plus d'espace. La serveuse nous a donné des excuses comme quoi il y avait des réservations et blablabla (pleins de table de libre dans le restaurant encore). Après avoir fait une plainte à une autre serveuse, nous avons afin pu avoir l'autre table et être assises confortablement. Il a également fallu plus d'une heure avant d'avoir de l'eau (toutes les tables autour en avait). Nous avons du demander plus de 3x. Le service a été aussi extrêmement long. Plus d'une heure avant d'avoir nos plats. La serveuse n'est jamais revenu nous voir pour savoir si on voulait quelque chose d'autre à boire (le pichet de sangria était vide depuis longtemps) ni pour nous ramener de l'eau (Nous avons du demander à autre serveuse pour en avoir d'autre). En gros, service lent, bouffe très ordinaire et serveuse qui ne revenait jamais nous voir lorsqu'on demandait quelque chose. Je peux comprendre que le restaurant était occupé, mais ce n'est pas une raison pour délaisser une table comme ça. Nous étions debout avec nos manteaux (nous voulions quitter) et personne n'est venu nous voir pour savoir si on voulait nos factures. Nous avons du courir après les serveuses pour pouvoir payer. De plus, la serveuse n'est jamais venu nous voir pour demander si on voulait café/dessert, il a également fallu lui demander de peine et de misère.

Nous avons commandé de chez l'Gros luxe Deluxe via Foodora. Extrêmement décevant. Mon copain a pris la poutine vegan qui, en gros, contenait quelques frites avec 2-3 morceaux de fauxmage. Mais bon, nous sommes habitués à avoir des petites portions sans saveur pour des prix exagérés. Si ce n'était que cela, on aurait chialé en silence. Le pire était mon "Veggie" Mac n' cheese, qui ne comportait aucun champignon, ni fromage de chèvre tel que décrit dans le menu. Seulement quelques pâtes froides avec de l'huile. Sérieux, c'est insultant qu'ils aient pu laisser ce plat sortir de leur cuisine. J'ai appelé le restaurant et on m'a simplement référé à Foodora. Aucune excuse, aucune culpabilité. Heureusement que Foodora a un réel service à la clientèle. La prochaine fois, on va recommander avec Foodora, mais ce ne sera définitivement pas chez L'Gros luxe. À éviter!

Heard so much about this place, came here January 21 a Sunday after 1: 00 pm, place seemed not full.
The man in the front desk asked us to wait as he said they were missing staff,
then seemed overwhelmed and never assigned us a place and ignored us after 20 minutes without any feedback.

Guys common!? !? !

He was upset just looking at him cleaning the tables but we finally decided to go elsewhere.

Heum boycottons cet établissement qui refuse de payer leurs employés. La bouffe est mauvaise en plus je déconseille fortement. Leur gérant faisait des calls sexistes et homophobes alors qu’il était saoul sur la job.

Do not go eat here. It's the worst. Like don't kid yourself reading the reviews below. The service is terrible. The staff is not helpful and mostly ignored us. The vegan mac n cheese was maybe the worst thing I've ever tasted. They cant make a drink and the coke was flat. They overcooked a steak to death and the ribs where dry. Not much else could go wrong with this visit. I just wanted to leave from the moment i got there.

I repeat. Do not eat here
