LHotel Montreal

La réceptionniste et le valet étaient très gentils à mon arrivée. Par contre, lorsque je suis entrée dans ma chambre, j'ai constaté que celle-ci n'était pas du tout tel que sur les photos! J'avais réservé une suite avec un foyer (qu'on aperçoit sur les photos) mais à ma grande déception il n'y avait aucun foyer dans ma chambre et les photos n'étaient pas du tout représentatives de la chambre dont j'ai hérité. De plus, lorsque je suis allée revoir le bureau de la réception, on ne m'a pas bien reçue

et on m'a dit que c'était comme ça et que je ne devais pas m'attendre à avoir la même chambre que sur la photo. Je ne suis pas d'accord avec cette réponse qu'on m'a donnée. De surcroît, quand j'ai pris ma douche, le filet du pomeau était très faible et l'eau du bain coulait continuellement et le bain se remplissait alors j'ai dû me dépêcher pour ne pas causer une inondation. Je suis très déçue de cette visite à cette hôtel. Je ne le recommande pas.

This hotel is actually a motel than a boutique hotel. Rude reception, filthy carpet, broken plug in the room, outdated bathroom hardware. The hotel is poorly run by irresponsible staff, and with no manager on the spot, you have no one to complain to. Be careful with your credit card, coz they can charge whatever amount of money they want without the guest’s approval. Their online rating is definitely overrated. Would choose a chain brand hotel next time.

The owner upgraded us to a nicer room and gave us free champagne since we were celebrating our wedding. He was very kind. Beautiful spacious rooms.

We arrived to the hotel September 21, room 217 we was very disappointment, no coffee or tea bags in the room floor lamp not was working, explain to the lobby, they told they fix it and we left next day, not working, carpet look not clean. Next day we vent for the breakfast. 2 pastries, tea or coffe and glass of jus, after 2 pastries you have to pay 2.50 each, no yogurt, no eggs, no toasted bred. This 4 star hotel, and the room over 380 dollars with the parking for 1 night. Never come back

Stunning hotel.

Absolutely beautifully decorated

Could be 5 perfect stars if:

* They hired a couple real bartenders. Ditch drink making machine operated by non-drinker

* They hired some bellboy staff to man the front entry so guests don't have to lug bags up many stairs.

Added some kind of room service to deliver coffee in morning. Especially to the Presidential suite.

PS cut down staff there worked their tails off!

Management staff had one of my personal effects, lost it after I’d paid to have it shipped to me, then refused to offer any reimbursement.

Credit card information was stolen, was then used to make fraudulent purchases. Valet returned my car with all compartments open and all personal belongings scattered on the floor. Either they rob you blind or hookup criminals on which cars to boost in the sketchy lots they leave it in.

Management didn't care. Just theorized a local criminal installed a credit card scanner in my car, then threw around my belongings to make it obvious someone had broken in. Doesn't add up. Stay at your own risk.
Room was okay, beds were nice!

Tranquille et propre. Très bien situé. Petit déjeuner continental très bien. Certaines prises de courant défectueuses dans la chambre.

I was assigned an odd room, it was very small, almost claustrophobic. I realized that all the other rooms are much larger. I assume it was because I booked via Expedia. Make sure not to get room 410 if you plan to stay there.

2nd time staying at this hotel and each time I’ve been impressed with the level of customer service and professionalism from Chris and his team.

Amazing location, very friendly staff, comfortable and clean room! I loved the art and unique vibe at this hotel. I would love to stay here again in the future.

Run down hotel, stains on carpet and the art details don’t fit the bill. It is out dated and feels like a hotel from that should have kept up with present requirements. Rating it 2 star only because of the friendly staff.

Very ecclectic hotel! Love the art on every square inch of the hotel. Greeting through leaving, super friendly and accomodating! Nice bar! Room was large and super comfortable bed and pillows!

Young lady by the name of Julianne was wonderful. I had her on the phone for quite some time trying to book a room for my kids and I and she was just so patient, pleasant, professional and completely trustworthy. The first point of contact at any hotel really sets the tone for any establishment and I feel that people like Julianne should be recognized. LHotel is luck to have her. I could not say the same for other front desk folks in MTL sadly! Some are passive aggressive and really hate their lives and take it out on some of us. Bravo Julianne!

Great location close to the old port. The entire hotel is filled with beautiful artwork. The rooms were very spacious, and as someone who is very tall, I really enjoyed not having to bend over to fit under the shower head! Top notch service, will be back.

Great look/style, service and location but showers were tight and placement of shower heads made it hard to shower. There were also coffee stains on every page of the tourist book and some of the art were in frames with broken glass.
Felt like from far this hotel was really nice but closer at look made it feel less so.

The AC at home broke so I stayed here for a night.

Kinda cool, funky hotel with great pop art everywhere. Huge rooms, old world charm, a bit musty but overall not bad. Staff were excellent and very nice.

If you’re looking g for modern and new, this ain’t it, but it’s an interesting boutique hotel with a certain charm and ambiance that you don’t find in chains.

Very disappointing stay at this hotel, I reserved a king suite, the room looked a little old and tired, my night lamp bulb had to be replaced, the front desk told me that maintenance did not work over the weekend, so not night table light during my stay.also I had to call downstairs to get additional Shampoo and soap, the front desk also said that they add them only when the customer asks for them.never heard of a hotel doing that. On our first day, we noticed that they had not cleaned the bathroom, once again we had to complain in order to get it done. The second star is only for the location.

This is definitely a cool little boutique hotel. There is a ton of American pop culture art everywhere, a cute lobby bar, and is right by old Montreal with a ton of great dining options.

We had an issue with the AC (amidst a heatwave, I’m sure AC units were acting up everywhere) and the manager (I wish I got his name!) took care of us at 11 PM. I’d definitely go back.

Amazing hotel! Everyone here was so nice and the rooms were beautiful. If you have a chance, walk around and see all the art displayed throughout the hotel.

Truly a wonderful hotel with the nicest staff, great spacious rooms, and a convenient location to Old Montreal. The manager, Chris, and his staff are so supportive and want nothing but the best experience for their guests. The art collection, high ceilings, and the lobby music (blues and rock) were so cool. I will definitely come back in a future visit to Montreal.

A very nice hotel that acts as a great home base to see all of Montreal. The excellent staff made our 4-day stay perfect with no complaints whatsoever and smiles on our faces and sadness when we had to check out.

Fantastic, interesting and charming! This hotel is conveniently located in old Montreal and grants easy access to the metro as well as offers a plethora if fascinating and famous at work. Great place to stay and very memorable!

Enjoyed our stay here. Location is great, the staff is friendly and helpful. Art is everywhere and really fun to just walk around to view it all, it is quite an impressive collection. Furniture was also unique in our spacious room. Only had minor issues to not make it a 5 star stay - the bathroom is fine, but nothing special, and there was no door between the bedroom and the main part of our suite, so hard for one person to stay up if the other is going to bed.

Smaller hotel. Wonderful staff. Helpful and accommodating when called upon. Valet service well worth it. Rooms are older but in great shape, clean and cozy. Would be nicer of the windows could open. Easy walking distance to old Montreal and Chinatown and downtown. Wish I could have stayed longer. Montreal is fun because of the people.

Wonderfully helpful staff throughout the whole stay, plus the rooms are eclectic while being far more spacious and open air feeling than other hotels.

This hotel has an amazing ambiance with it's numerous and varied pieces of art, and even more amazing crew of people that earn it a 6th star. They will definitely have my business everytime I stay in Montreal!

The hotel requires a refresh. Being closed for over two years one would expect some facelift to have been done, but no. We had some issues initially during our stay, but the hotel's Assistant Manager, Chris, resolved our issues promptly with a high level of decorum and professionalism. If it weren't for Chris, this would be an entirely different review. Additionally, if you have the chance, ask for Rémy the valet, that guy is absolutely awesome and should be a concierge at minimum. If you bring out a vehicle and it is not raining, you leave the driver's window down and the vehicle running. He was the only one to do this. Additionally, he was the only valet that rush passed me into traffic to open and hold the passenger door for my wife. It is the little things that have the biggest impact. You are on the right track, but I will not nitpick beyond my initial statement. Ultimately, 4.5 out of 5.0 stars but I will round up. Hopefully the next time will be a solid 5 out of 5.
