J’ai loué le jardin secret pour le 30e anniversaire de mon mari. Nous avons adoré l’endroit. C’était charmant et convivial. La terrasse est couverte en partie et il y a des chauffes-terrasse pour profiter de l'extérieur même quand la température n’est pas idéale. Je recommande fortement ce lieu! Tous mes invités m’ont dit avoir aimé l’endroit. Une valeur sûre pour un événement sans encombres.

Amzing property, well maintained.
Garden, Accessible, very clean.highly recommended. Owner was so nice and provided everything.

On January 10th we made a reservation for 4 nights from August 10th to 14th. This reservation was immediately confirmed and the full amount (1200 cad) was paid to the hotel. In early May I received a message that the hotel could not accommodate us and that we should please cancel the booking. We declined this as we had no reason to cancel. This business practice is not professional. The hotel wanted to explain to me by phone that I had a contract with booking and that I should contact them. However, the contractual partner is the hotel. Unfortunately, only bad alternatives were offered to me. The hotel promised to find an alternative for me, which unfortunately didn't happen. Luckily I found another good place to stay. I would have liked to have done without the renewed booking stress. Unfortunately, the hotel's booking confirmation was not reliable.

Trésor caché sur griffintown, l’accueil fût personnalisé par le propriétaire lui-même. La chambre, plutôt comme un condo ou un appartement moderne, était décoré avec goût, très propre et bien équipé pour séjourner comme à la maison. Les installations sont très confortables et spacieuses que ce soit le lit, le canapé ou la salle de bain. Même les produits de bain grand format étaient agréables avec des odeurs de romarin!

C’était notre 2e expérience et les deux fois, nous aurions eu envie de rester plus longtemps. Le prix est très abordable considérant les atouts de l’hébergement. Très bien localisé, il est situé près du canal Lachine pour la course, la marche ou le vélo, à côté d’un dépanneur, de la SAQ, de la boulangerie, la boucherie, les restos, les cafés, etc. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est très sécuritaire au beau milieu de la ville dans ce quartier trendy mais avec le calme et le sentiment d’être dans une cours privée mais vraiment VIP avec sa cuisine extérieure, son set up bar en bois et ses fauteuils au jardin; le tout avec wifi haute vitesse.

Élément nouveau, la terrasse chauffée dont on a bien profité pour travailler et prendre l’apéro avec les amis; à l’extérieur à l’abris de la pluie, bien au chaud avec les chaufferettes au propane et la musique d’ambiance. De quoi défier la pluie et profiter indépendamment de la météo.

On se sent privilégié de dormir à l’hôtel particulier. Merci Michael pour votre grande hospitalité et de sentiment de bien être que vous avez réussi à créer dans votre hôtel. À partager avec mes meilleurs amis!

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. Very nice rooms! Lots of space! Everything we needed was there. Underground parking less than a 2 minute walk alway! Definitely will be back!

My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights last fall. Michael has created such a unique and beautiful space from the rooms to the secret garden. I have not stayed anywhere like it and would like to come back every time when in Montreal. The location was amazing, everything you need is nearby. Michael made us feel very welcome. He should be very proud of what he has created. Hopefully he has a room free for our next visit.

Une suite bien aménagé et de bon format. Très propre. Confortable. Stationnement intérieur disponible à 3 minutes de marche. La prochaine fois que j'ai à retourner à Montréal, j'y retourne.

Un lieu incroyable plein de charme et hyper central.
La possibilité de faire mes repas a été un énorme atout. Un supermarché est à 500m.
Je recommande aussi le Petit Dep à 200m. Café/restaurant très sympa et chaleureux.
Bref, un super spot que je recommande!

The experience was very nice. The reception from the owner was very sweet and genuine. He provided us with all the details we need to know about the place. My friends and I really enjoyed the indoor space but even more the outdoor space. There was a heated veranda and it was magical. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable and a nice speaker in the living room. I really recommend this place if you’re looking to have a good time with friends, it is truly perfect.

The apartment was really cool and comfy, the people were easy to deal with, and the location was great.

Magnifique expérience, super accueil, hôtel très chaleureux et bien animé par son propriétaire Michael. Les enfants et nous-mêmes avons adoré les petits déjeuners préparés sur mesure dans la verrière avec une ambiance musicale juste parfaite. On a juste envie d’y revenir!

We spent two nights at the duplex room and the overall experience was amazing. Mic and Jeremy were helpful and welcoming even before we booked the rooms. Indoor parking for $25/night available, which was necessary when we traveled in the snow storm. The kitchen was equipped with everything we need. And the value was great. Oh and we definitely enjoyed the cafe that Mic suggested!

Beautiful and charming garden space for events. Hosted a surprise 30th beginning of October and the birthday girl and the guests absolutely loved it. It was such a creative space to work with, easy to decorate nicely and the weather was on our side + we had a heating lamp in the sheltered space. There is a large fridge, functional BBQ and large sink in the kitchen area and a good sound system. The owner was very kind in making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you, we had a blast!

L'Hotel Particulier was the perfect spot for our Montreal vacation. The property is a beautifully maintained historic landmark in the heart of some of Montreal's most walkable neighbourhoods. Our host provided incredible hospitality, ensuring that we had everything we needed. We'll certainly be checking in again on our next visit.

We had an amazing time in the Secret Garden for my husband's birthday party! Everything went perfectly, from dropping off all of the food and party supplies the day before to the actual party day. Michael and Jeremy are very friendly and they both made sure to answer all of my questions at any time of the day! Great service, great people! I highly recommend and will surely be back! We had my daughter’s wedding in the Hotel Particulier Griffintown’ secret garden and also we had the whole hotel for 3 nights for our guests. This experience was magnificent! The rooms are well decorated and very comfortable, each room has its own vibe and experience. Beds are very comfortable! There are many common areas in the hotel to get together, eat, drink, and also to chill. The 3 nights and 4 days wasn’t enough to really see all the details that are beautifully and carefully chosen for every rooms and kitchens. The garden besides being naturally beautiful, also has capacity and ability to become whatever you choose, from a formal event to a casual gathering. The right size canopy in the garden keeps you comfortable in the rain and under the sun. All the different style furnitures in the garden satisfy your every event’s needs.
The wonderfully accessible host makes your stay so peaceful and secure. He’s very warm and welcoming that makes your stay unforgettable.
This hotel and the garden are a calm and unforgettable place in the middle of the down town and old port of Montreal! It means that you have a great opportunity to have access to everything you need during your stay in this beautiful unique city!

I rented Hotel Particulier for my small wedding weekend and could not have asked for a more perfect experience.
We rented the whole house and backyard for the weekend for my husband and our family to stay. The location is right in the heart of busy Griffintown, but somehow Michael has managed to make an oasis and serene garden that feels secluded and private but close enough to the beautiful city life.

Michael was an exceptional host and made every single one of my family members feel comfortable, at home, and welcomed. My family from out of country arrived early before I did and Michael greeted them in the backyard with refreshments and showed them where to put their luggage and kept them company until we arrived. Throughout the whole stay, he was readily available by phone for any issues and was there to fix them quickly. He was respectful of our privacy and made sure we had everything we needed. All of my family was very Impressed with Michael’s hospitality. All the rooms were very comfortable, well ventilated and cool in the extreme heat that weekend. All the beds were very comfortable with all the amenities needed.

There was a mistake on my part on the dates when booking the house and Michael kindly and calmly helped me find a solution so my guests did not have to end up booking rooms in a hotel elsewhere on the first night. I was so incredibly grateful for his understanding during such a stressful time. He even offered to move guests to a near by hotel so my family could all stay together for the whole weekend, even though the mistake was on my part.

My wedding could not have gone better in the Secret Garden of Hotel Particulier. My family and guests had an unforgettable experience and stay with Michael.

I will always use the Garden and hotel for all my future events and can not recommend this stay enough. Michael brings a charm to this place and makes your stay a truly memorable experience. I am so glad I found this unique gem in Montreal. It is truly a Hotel Particulier.

Place was very good the garden was so quiet and inviting. Michael the owner was very informative and provided us with great suggestions as to how to make the most of our visit to Montreal.
A heads up on the construction and road closures around our hotel would have been helpful, otherwise the accommodation was great

L'hôtel a annulé la réservation moins de 2 semaines avant notre arrivée au Canada pour pouvoir louer plus cher. Non content de nous mettre dans une situation très délicate, l'hôtel nous a également demandé d'annuler nous-même la réservation de façon à ne pas recevoir de pénalité de la part d'Airbnb. Une pratique malhonnête et irrespectueuse qui mérite d'être dénoncée.

L’Hotel Particulier truly is a hidden gem in Griffintown. We had the privilege of hosting our wedding there this weekend and it was perfect. Michael, the host, was very hands on the entire weekend and one of the reasons our wedding went off without a hitch. The rooms were all very clean and very stylish. It embraces the historical charm of the building.

Michael, the owner, was awesome to work with, very accommodating and great to deal with, a true gentleman. Met his wife, briefly, she seemed very sweet as well. The accommodations were great value, very clean and exceeded our expectations. The location is excellent for an evening or two downtown Montreal. Highly recommend this place, much nicer than a hotel and they even offer an outside oasis where you can sit and relax with a cocktail or take a swing on the hammock. Don't miss out on this place!

I stayed here with a group of friends for a bachelor party a few days ago and this place is a hidden gem of Montreal. This place was in the perfect location, sparkling clean with a beautiful garden out back. I will absolutely be back for a get away— thanks again Michael!

Jardins Secrets: Très belle ambiance et un grand jardin extérieur. Parfait pour une réception ou une fête (frigo, table, etc disponibles!).

5 étoiles, superbe endroit pour séjourner au cœur de Montréal. Le jardin secret est parfaitement adapté pour toutes réceptions ou rencontres en famille. Je me souviendrai toujours de cette journée/soirée de mon 50ieme anniversaire…Mémorable!

Stayed here on my first visit to Montreal and would stay again! Really enjoyed the location, accessible to different parts of the city, and the room we stayed in was exactly what my wide and I were looking for. The owner Michael is really accommodating and personable.

We stayed at the hotel in the "double suite" late August. There were 2 adults and 3 children and we had a wonderful time. We would definitely stay there again.

Location: The area is an upcoming area with lots of buildings going up but we felt very safe walking around at night. There are several great bakeries, grocery stories close by. During the time we were there, there were lots of construction in Montreal and many of the roads are closed with buses diverted. You can walk to Murry and wellington (about 3 min) and hop on any of the buses that take you to victoria square metro station or you can walk for about 10 min to Bonaventure metro station.

Room: We got two bedroom with 1 bathroom. One bedroom had a queen bed and a single bed, while another bedroom had a queen bed and a sofa bed. Each bed was comfortable and the bedding was great. There were air conditioning in each of the room which kept us very cool in the midst of a heat wave and kept out the outside construction noise. There was a TV for the kids to watch Netflix and lots of shelving space to put our stuff as well as a place to hang our clothes. The bathroom was very clean with great water pressure. This, I was surprised given how old the property is. Each room several windows and a sky light but one of the skylight had no curtains/blinds. Mic helped us put black garbage bags on it to keep the light out and it worked great. We were on the top floor so it was very very quiet.

The property and the host: We had access to the garden which was beautiful and there were dishes, a fridge and utensils for us to use. There was also a bbq that we used to heat our Montreal bagels for breakfast and you can do any other cooking you'd liked. Mic was super great. He met us during check-in even though we arrived very late on our first day and made sure we had everything we needed. Every day he would greet us in the garden and went out of his way to help us whether its where to go, where to eat or where to get good pastries. My kids loved talking to him as well.

Overall, highly recommend.

Cozy and clean rooms managed by a warm and friendly host. Couldn't have asked for a better place.

We rented the garden of the Hotel Particulier Griffintown and got a room for our wedding. We had a truly magical time. The garden was the perfect size to host 30 people for a cocktail, and the clash of such a peaceful and pretty garden with the concrete jungle of Griffintown makes it quite special. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Michael was very accommodating and fun to work with, we were able to bring things in advance and he was very involved and sincerely wanted us to have a memorable night. And lastly our wedding pictures came out stunning, the lighting both daytime and in the evening with the little lights is gorgeous.

We loved our stay at Michael's place - the apartments were tastefully decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable and the host is very friendly, pleasant and helpful. We also really loved spending time in the beautiful garden - which looks even more incredible when lit with fairy lights at night! L'Hôtel Particulier is a historic-looking oasis amid tall urban buildings, and is located in the heart of Griffintown, just a 5min walk away from grocery stores and restaurants and less than a 10min walk away from the beautiful canal! We truly recommend staying at this wonderful hidden gem!
