The portions are generous, the music is great and the staff is really nice. Loved everything about this place.

After a nice training session, this meal hit the spot.

Pros: Decent amount of oxtail for 20$. Meat was tender and juicy. Plantain out of this world! Food was ready really fast. Bajan fried chicken is good!
Cons: on the oxtail plate, there was a lot of gravy so I was happy at first but when I tasted, it was bland.like no real taste. I found it had instead some sort of bbq flavor. Husband had the jerk chicken and made the same comment. Also, it Wasnt the regular rice and peas im used to. I wanted some all spice and nutmeg flavor which (In my taste) was missing unfortunately. But it seems really popular so good for the owners! Also nice decor! But Ill stick to my usual spots in NDG and Lasalle for oxtail and jerk.

Superb tiny corner place, beautifully decorated, excellent food options, plenty of variations for vegetarians, tens across the board!

The jerk chicken is great and the plantain is different from the other places but I prefer it!
However, the price online does not match with the actual price.
I was surprised by the difference as it was 30% more than what I had expected to pay.
It would be great if the menu online would be updated

J’ai commandé des queues de bœuf pour la première fois. Un délice! On m’avait prévenu que c’était cher mais j’ai trouvé la portion et le prix cohérent, rien à dire dessus. J’ai aussi prit du poulet bajan. Je recommanderai assurément car j’y pense encore

Service was good, food was decent. Could've used some additional flavour and definitely spice. The jerk chicken was good but could've been better had it had some spice. The plantains were undercooked and hard, half of them were the other half delicious!

Had the oxtail plate. First time I had carribean oxtail and I didn't quite like the taste, however the meat was very tender. The chicken patty didn't taste much. The rice and the plantain were nice. The best was the Mac and cheese.

Everything about Lloydie's is such a gem! From the decor, bathrooms, and of course the food!

I was actually there on location for a photoshoot and they catered lunch for us. I had the Jerk Chicken which came with rice, plantains and coleslaw on the side.

The chicken was the most moist, flavourful, and savory jerk chicken I've ever had before. I wish I savoured it more cause honestly I ate it too quickly. The rice and plantains pair very well together, and the coleslaw had coconut shavings in it which I thought was such a nice touch of sweetness but doesn't overpower the rest of the meal.

I wasn't able to try their patties but I'll definitely go for it next time. Would love to go back! Amazing food and great staff!

It’s a cool little place in the heart of st-Henri, the ambiance is unique. I ordered the jerk chicken plate.sadly I found it lacking flavour. I also ordered the ginger beer, but it was like drinking sugar water. Just needs more spice, more flavour! Maybe the other dishes are different, I wouldn’t know. But sadly I won’t be trying them again

Super friendly staff, the food was amazing especially the coconut french toast! The chicken was a bit spicy but melt in your mouth. I recommend if you want Caribbean food. The only negative aspect the dining space is but small. But food wise is super good. I recommend this little gem.

Delicious, got the jerk chicken and the jerk pork, side of rices (ok), plantains (sweet). The whole thing was on point. Oh yeah they have this nice slaw too mad of coconut! Interesting, new for me and very refreshing.

On top of everything, that old school, new jack playlist really topped it off. I guess I could of indulged myself for a soda, make the night even sweeter, but we trying vegan here.not trying to drink all the processed sugar stuff.psych

2 pieces of french toasts (see the photo) cost 13$ before tax, I’m so disappointed, feel I’m cheated. Maybe the owner would argue something below my comment, but this is my true feeling. Avoid.

Reply to the owner: On Sunday noon, when almost all the restos in this street are full of people, only your restaurant is very empty, you should think about your own problem, not find lots of excuses.

Finally came here!

First time, at this resto. Got our food for take out. Generous portion, really tasty food! Oxtail platter was BOMB! Never had plaitains this way before and loved every bite of it. Rice was delicious. The beef patty was good. Was not a fan of the coconut slaw though.

I will be coming back. That's for sure!

We had the fried chicken, the jerk chicken and the jerk chicken poutine and it was great. We also had the beef patty which was ok.

Super bon bon restaurant jamaïcain! J'y ai mangé le jerk pork qui était très tendre et savoureux et la portion était immense! Je vous recommande fortement ce restaurant!

I am sitting in the park with a belly full of jerk chicken as a warm feeling washes over me from the spice. What a delicious meal. The coconut coleslaw was a delightful surprise and the bright yellow hot sauce was the perfect spice level

I only wish things were back to normal so I could take friends out to eat in the funky retro restaurant.
