L'Oeufrier (Chabanel)

Fan of breakfast places, unpleasant experience. No effort in the service (bad), no ventilation in the restaurant. Smoky and unbreathable smell. Place to be avoided!

I decided to order breakfast take out and the food was not up to my expectations due to the prices.
Most of my food was cold, hard and over salted.
The portions were really small and do not look how it’s advertised.

Nouveau menu très intéressant. Il y a tellement de choix, presque trop. Nous avons testé les crêpes, l’avocado toast et la poutine déjeuner. On s’est vraiment régalé. Comme les portions sont copieuses, on en a rapporté à la maison. En somme, une belle expérience

Première fois à l’œufrier chabanel. Le restaurant est très propre. Excellent service, temp d’attente raisonnable pour commander et recevoir la bouffe. Les prix sont honnêtes pour les portions dans une assiette.
La nourriture est délicieuse, fraîche et bien préparée.
Honnêtement, tu ne peux pas comparer ça à (allô mon coco ou chez Cora …).
J’ai beaucoup aimé manger ici!
Une place à essayer, le seul inconvénient c’est le stationnement. C’est difficile et surtout payant après 9h du matin dans la semaine.

Not worth the price at all.

Average food.
Lots of extras, syrup is not included, not even the cheap table syrup, no coffee included. Very first time I see that in a brunch place. Considering the price it should be included 100%.
The crepe was very thick, almost cold, the bacon super dry with as said above no syrup, so definitely not good and also not very warm. The hazelnut chocolate was pretty thin, much less than any other brunch place. The potatoes were ok but pretty bland.

Service was sub-par in my opinion.
It was a Sunday at 12pm, restaurant was not even full. Wait time before getting our order taken was ok, food was delivered pretty fast compared to most brunch places. But 1 of the 2 waiters was chilling doing nothing for a good 10 mins when multiple people were waiting.
I asked for water and never got it, seems like the most basic thing to serve when people sit down… nobody in the restaurant had water.
I asked for the sausages and got the bacon instead.
Not a single time were we asked if “everything is ok” so I could ask for the water again for instance.
So yeah basically I’m not even sure why there are waiters, promote the bus boy and he would do a better job I’m sure.

Atmosphere wise, it’s fun to see the kitchen and the large industrial open space, but there was no music playing so all you could were chatters. Not my style. But that might suit you.

Would I advise my friends to go? Absolutely not.
Would I go again? As a last resort yes, otherwise not.

J’ai commandé une commande à livrer et ils n’ont pas pris la peine de respecter ma commande. J’avais demandé des œufs brouillés avec patates rôties et saucisse et ils m’ont donné une des oeufs miroir avec bacon et purée de patate. Très décevant comme déjeuner

I recently visited l'Oeufrier on Chabanel and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The service was not up to par as it took a good 5 minutes before we were acknowledged upon arrival, despite there being empty tables visible. What was even more disappointing was the attitude of the person who seemed to be the owner, as he stood with his arms crossed and on his cellphone near the kitchen and entrance.

The food was also very ordinary and did not meet my expectations, especially considering the price we paid. This was my first and last time visiting this restaurant.

Menu cool et très diversifié, serveuse sympatique, attentionnée et jolie. Très bonne bouffe.

Beau petit resto déjeuner, la configuration de la salle rend l'expérience un peu moins agréable pour le moins chanceux proche de la porte l'hiver. Service rapide et efficace. Portions amplement suffisante pour le prix.

Bien situé et le déjeuner était bon. Bémol majeur à mon avis a été le serveur. Le service était pitoyable. Le serveur avait un air arrogant quand on lui demandant quelque chose. Ça nous rendait très mal à l'aise. Il s'était tromper sur nos factures et nous a charger plus. Quand nous lui en avons fait part, il a voulut nous faite croire que c'étais nous qui nous nous étions tromper. Nous avons décider de ne plus revenir pour le moment.

J'ai passé une commande via leur site web et celle-ci fut annulée par DoorDash à l'heure qu'elle devait arriver.

Confuse, j'essaie de contacter le restaurant de Chabanel, mais aucun moyen: le numéro de téléphone ne mène nulepart.

Selon leur site web, ma commande m'a été remboursée, mais ce n'est pas le cas.

Ayant fourni mon numéro de téléphone, je suis extrêmement choquée que personne ne m'est appelée pour m'expliquer la situation.

La bouffe est bonne, mais allez sur place.

Really one of the best breakfast spots in Montreal! Only downside is how small the location is, but the food and staff are incredible!

Its a great place for lunch or breakfast. The seating arrangement is decent and food is delicious as well. Definitely worth a visit!

The best breakfast restaurant I event to and the prices were worth it. Pancakes and French toasts are must try. And there latte is awesome

Never go There. They only take care of uber eat, Dash Door, etc. Orders.

When they have time they will take care of person on site.

Low quality food compared to other Oeufrier restaurants.

Bel droit, bon service en général, dépendant du personnel cette journée. Bonne bouffe de qualité et menu varié. Je recommande.

Excellent grilled cheese! Milkshakes also the bomb! Please note, some inconsistencies between branches, but this one is great.

Never been to L’Oeufrier before but it’s a breakfast/brunch chain with 35 locations in Quebec. They claim to be the original inventors of the breakfast poutine.

Our waitress was very patient and accommodating for our table that had several individuals with dietary restrictions.

- Le stimulateur ($8.00)
- Coffee ($1.00) - an extra $1.00/person to add unlimited Café Lavazza coffee.
- Béné joe trop de smoked meat ($19.95) - oh my lord, the home style potatoes were delicious. Easily the best thing on my plate.
- Martin en kayak au lac aux castors ($15.95) - the buckwheat crepe tasted very healthy (aka.bland). Texture is an acquired taste.
- Le pas un autre grève s.v. P! ($17.50) - found the mac and cheese under seasoned and underwhelming.
- Pedro se tappe un ironman ($19.95) - my sister’s grilled cheese with smoke meat.
- Build your own bowl - my mom asked for a bowl of smoked meat ($6.50) and potatoes ($3.50). She also ordered a side of asparagus ($1.50). Basically, a poutine bowl without the sauce. Honestly, this was the best way to order.

Decent chain eats at L’Oeufrier. 3.5 stars.
