Lola Rosa Café

I was very pleasantly surprised. Usually I leave vegan restaurants hungry but I am so full my wife had to drive! I can't believe everything was all plant based.

Lola Rose in Montreal is a true culinary delight. The nachos and Dirty Tea I tried were simply fantastic. The nachos were loaded with flavor and made to perfection. As for the Dirty Tea, it was a refreshing and unique beverage.

What truly stood out was the excellent customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience, making us feel welcomed and valued. Lola Rose combines great food with exceptional service, making it a must-visit in Montreal.

Loved our dinner here! Extra spicy Asian tofu for hubby and chili for me - both were large portions with lots of rice and not overly rich thankfully. Staff couldn’t be nicer, comfy atmosphere and delicious food!

I have been to Lola Rosa on many occasions and let me say, this place rocks! As a non veggie/vegan person i have to say the first time I came I didn't even know the nachos were vegetarian.the food overall is amazing no complaints. I also quite enjoy the little drawer or notes attached to each table, its fun to sit and read them while waiting for food.

Very cozy restaurant with great staff. Always super friendly but due to COVID has shut down for long periods of time. Really miss coming in and grabbing a quick bit to eat. One thing is that their is limited space in the actual restaurant so make a reservation since it's very popular! Very good vegetarian food though.

Amazing comfort food and such a chill and cozy atmosphere. I love that it's vegan as well! The perfect place for students living in the Ghetto to grab a bite to eat on a cold day. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. If you are in the McGill Ghetto go check this place out, you won't regret it!

Love this restaurant. I would say this is more a vegetarian place than a vegan place. Friendly service, and the food is always tasty. I wish they bring the spinach lasagna back!

While waiting for the food, I saw a cooks eating and cooking same time; my wife ask me to face other side so we don't feel bad.
We we're eating I feel something in my mouth and pulled a long hair. I stayed quite and when a waiter came I showed her.
She even didn't offer an apologies but asked if it was in food like we pretend.
We didn't say anything but paid and stepped out. But still don't feel good and thought to share so they improve cleanliness and customer service. I don't want to go to them again.
For their reference, it happened Dec 22,2018 app 9pm and we we're family of four.

Came here for lunch and it was quite packed, luckily I was alone and got a table fast.
For those who don't know, Lola Rosa is a vegetarian restaurant with vegan options and they have three different locations.
I ordered the jalapeño mac and cheese, which came with a house salad and a beer.
The service was quick and it's a really cute place.
The food was good; I would have liked to see my mac n cheese more creamy, but the flavors were definitely there.
I would like to go back to try more of their menu items.

I went here earlier today and was absolutely blown away. The service was impeccable and the food was simply amazing. Compliment to the cute chef working the line, him along with the rest of the restaurant was phenomenal, I will definitely be back.

Prices are a little high, and the service aloof, par for the course of what can be expected from most vegan restaurants.
Despite scoring high for presentation, the burrito i ordered was unlike the description in their menu.there was no corn in the burrito, mostly beans, with a insufficient amount of sweet potato puree, almost no oignons or jalepenos. The burrito came drizzled with an avocado sauce, and it was in a pool of a tomato sauce.no heat at all, hot sauce is an extra 50 cents! The rice was spiced with curcuma/curry and clove giving it a middle eastern tinge that did not mesh well with the two sauces, or with the burrito's puree. My partner ordered the Chili Chipotle, which once again, unlike their description, came with a layer of the curcuma/clove rice at the bottom of the dish, creating a similar clash of flavours. It was a tad dissapointing as the presentation was bang on, but ultimately lacked a cohesive mix of flavours, confusing to the palate.

P. S: If your going to use youtube as your playlist for your restaurant, make sure your Adware is running, Ads at double volume takes away from the experience i would hoping to have.

First time I came was last year and it was an amazing experience. Food was tasty and customer service was great. However, Yesterday I came with my partner. It was absolutely sad! We waited 55 minutes before we noticed our order wasn’t coming and everyone that came after us got there food. I had to bring the attention to the two women waiters. Then they apologized for missing the order.we ordered a (burrito and nachos) to stay and Samosa to go. Mind you, it’s a lack of awareness because to serve people around us, given it’s a small place they can tell we still didn’t have our food. Plus, it takes 15 minutes for it to come out. For me as a minority that experienced the lack of serving in other countries, especially America. I was shocked that Lola Rosa, made me go through this, especially I wanted to visit Montreal for there old food.

On top of all that, they gave us our food to go before our main courses and they messed up the order to go. Gave us a Burrito instead of a Samosa. I won’t go on detail on the taste in difference from last year to this year. All I’m saying is customer service was horrible and food has changed since my last year experience.

A bit on the expensive side, but undeniably good vegetarian food. The tables have drawers where guests leave little notes for others to read!

Very good fast food style vegan food. Service is fast and food quality is good. Ambience is nice. A lot of students.

Amazing! Absolutely worth a visit for anyone in Montreal, be they vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore. Fantastic delicious options, the greatest iced tea I've ever drank in my life, everything is vegetarian (with many many vegan options), great location, and wonderful staff. My only request is that they offer a less spicy version of the Mac and cheese next time for those of us who can't eat Jalapenos ;) I went with two meat-eaters and they both said it was an amazing meal (and they got a vegan and vegetarian entree) so it's not just my veg-bias: D

We had checked online that they close at 10: 30 and showed up at 9: 45. The server wouldn’t let us in saying the kitchen wasn’t serving food. They close at 10 but mentioned she knew the times online were incorrect. There were several other couples that showed up after us (we were waiting in the rain for a cab) and they turned them away as well. At that point all the other vegan restaurants had closed or would before we could get there. Really unfortunate as we were looking forward to eating there.

Great place to come when visiting Montreal! The food is delicious, although rather simple options on menu. Also cute little details about restaurant like they have notes stuffed in the table drawers from customers.
Just double check if you're ordering something vegan, that it is indeed vegan when arriving. My sauce on the side was not, and if I didn't double check I wouldn't have known. Also note that it can get rather hot in the summer here, as the windows are open on to the road.
Other than that, great restaurant and lovely staff.
