LOok Manicure Express

I don't want to offend anyone, but I didn't like the manicure, the craftswoman was inattentive when performing her services, the shellac coating was uneven, I did the manicure for a very long time and insecurely, and I paid for it almost 2 times more than what I pay in a Vietnamese salon, moreover that the girls there are fast, attentive and provide services at a good level. Maybe other craftsmen work better, but I have no desire to go back to check it.
Also, the shellac coating does not hold and some of the varnish has fallen off

Paid almost $150 for a standard pedicure and shellac manicure and the shellac manicure started chipping less than 48 hours later. I was staying at a hotel so I didn't even wash dishes or do any work with my hands. In five days I've had to go in twice for fixes. First time they were apologetic, second time they seemed mildly annoyed. It's too bad because the first tech was actually really lovely and personable. I think she got the blame but it must be the polish. I don't think I'll go back.

Arezoo Movahed has been the best nail technician I've had so far! My bio gel manicures and gel pedicures are always perfect and I love coming to see her every 2 weeks. I tried several nail salons over the years and Look Manicure Express has always been my favorite. The salon, staff and owners are wonderful.

I did my pedicure here for the first time! The service was fast and excellent! I love the modern vibe of the place and it was Very clean! Like the cleanest salon Ive ever been to in Montreal

I had them help me with new eyelash and they did a fantastic job.  I brought in a picture of what I wanted. They took a look, asked some questions and went for it.  My eyelash turned out super adorable, and it's so easy to manage because in the morning, all I have to do is wash and go. My eyelash still looks very, very cute.  I received a lot of comments from family and coworkers.  My husband said I looked like a little princess - very fresh and clean for the warmer weather.  Their salon's prices are also very reasonable so I'm comfortable going back often to their store.  Really appreciate the great work!  Thank you.

Great new salon with friendly crews/owner and all the services I'm looking for. Thay does a great job and spends the time to make my nails properly; not like other salons where a quick buzz buzz and chop chop result in a hack-job. We'll be back!

Can't say enough good things about owner salon and the AMAZING work. I found Look manicure, my nails have consistently lasted two full weeks or more. If you've not had an excellent experience yet, I would encourage you to keep shopping for the right manicurist. Look manicure did exceptional work.

UPDATE: Got a call from the extremely nice manager Myriam apologizing for my experience. She informed me that the ceilings are unfinished because they just moved (wich is understandable, and I wasn’t aware) and she was very understanding of the whole situation. I will be back at the salon on the 14th of aug for a manicure and will be giving them another chance. I will update my review after then:) thank you

This is actually my first time writing a negative review for a salon.

My friend and I decided to make an appointment on Saturday the 20th of July for two pedicures the following Friday (the 26th) at 6: 30pm. Once we got there, we waited for about 10 minutes before anyone greeted us and the lady at the desk informed us that our names were never taken down. Instead of apologizing, she blamed it on us and insisted that we never called etc when we clearly showed her that we dialled the right number on our phone. Regardless, she informed us that they had space and that it’ll be about a 15 min wait max. The place looked nice besides the fact that their ceilings are completely bare and u see the piping (not in an industrial chic way but in an unfinished, not nice way)

We decided to stay and give them a chance. After waiting for over 30 minutes and discussing nail polishes (there seemed to be a lack of communication between the front desk and the staff) we were seated. The two first estheticians started removing our shellac polish (soaking our toes in remover but not filing the topcoat first like you’re normally supposed to do) wich took almost a whole 20 minutes. Then, my friend and I saw our two estheticians get up, grab their bags and leave (I guess they finished their shifts, no one said bye to us, we weren’t aware we were gunna be changing estheticians). After being left alone for another 10 minutes, two new girls started doing our feet. My friends estheticians kept complaining about her previous clients and how she was forced to stay later and didn’t want to, whereas mine ended up poking me with the metal file and cutting my foot (didn’t even offer a band-aid).

The pedicure lasted almost 2hours total (started at about 7 and we left at around 8: 50), it was a very sub par job (feet are still rough) and my foot got cut and it still hurts when I walk (slightly concerned about it to be honest). Even if I do understand that it’s a downtown salon, I believe that 57$ for the ‘service’ is way too much. Not worth it at all, and very disappointed.

Below is the two cuts on my foot, and as u can see I still have dead skin on my feet. I’ll be taking care of that myself tonight

For the price I paid for a mani/pedi I should LOVE IT. Unfortunately I am here writing this review. I went in last minute one day and didn't ask for a price, I figured it would be similar to most other nail salons. They didn't have 2 of the colours I wanted, and finally the colour I settled on was the Vinylux brand, which according to them lasts 7 days without chipping and dries faster, therefore costing $5 more ($10 more total since I got both mani and pedi). I said fine, whatever, since I didn't love the other options of colours left. Aside for some small cuts on cuticles which I'm willing to look past, the mani and pedi was well done (although I did have to ask for a 3rd coat because it was still streaky after 2 coats). Total cost ended up being $100 BEFORE TIP for a regular mani pedi, not even shellack! Since everything looked great at the time, I was happy to tip 15% because I figured while is expensive, at least it will last 7 days. Day 2: already have air bubbles, and day 3: already chipping. FUCKING SCAM. Never going here again. AVOID!

Came here today for a pedi and a fill with a color change. They did both and I gotta say they has been the best so far! My pedi came out great and was the best ever! My lashes also came out super pretty! They gave me the exact shape I asked for and colored them perfect!

I've only been to this place once just before I moved out of the city. My experience there was great. This place is always busy so make sure you book in advance! I was only able to get waxing and manicure done that day. Everyone was friendly and very attentive. I was so glad they had Oribe nail polish and some luxury brands as well.  

The place was very clean and unlike many nail salons out there that have chemical smell that you could barely breathe, this one was nothing like those places! I would definitely make another appointment in the future soon when I'm in the city.

Highly recommended! Look Manicure has such a beautiful atmosphere and professional staff. Every service I have experienced at Look is so attentive to details and done to perfection. No better place than here!

DO NOT GO HERE - PLEASE TRUST ME! MY WIFE IS GOING TO REPORT THIS SALON.

Wife was going to get fake acrylic nails. The chinese lady working there barely spoke French or English, cut the cuticles so deeply that my wife's pinky started to bleed and the same as her right thumb. After complaining to the attendant she didn't even respond. She tried putting on a fake nail and the glue didn't stick so she ripped it right off of my wife's nail and damaged her top layer which hasn't grown back since. We complained to the receptionist who was an extremely rude latina woman who didn't even give us a chance to speak.
In the end my wife decided to get a regular manicure with clear polish, but the attendant left quickly after doing only one coat and didn't even return to check if her nails were dry. Absolute horrible customer service, clueless attendants, and THEY CHARGED 55 FOR A MANICURE WITHOUT NAIL POLISH. This place should be shut down!

Bel accueil, bon conseil sur la couleur, car j'étais indécise. Très bel endroit, propre et chaleureux. Pour la première fois j'adore le travail fait sur mes ongles.

Service rapide, préparation/nettoyage des ongles efficaces et très bien fait, salon propre et agréable! Cependant, les ongles étaient tous longs sauf trois, je me renseigne du prix on m’annonce 65 dollars avec trois rajouts, j’accepte, je prends rdv. Une heure après je reviens pour le rdv tout se passe bien, arrivée en caisse on m’annonce 83 dollars et la cest la douche froide. On me précise à ce moment là que c’est 10dollars par rajouts chose qu’on ne m’avais pas informée à mon arrivée. Je suis fortement déçue d’avoir payé une prestation à plus de 83 dollars juste pour une simple pose de semi-permanent basique sans strass ni motifs avec juste trois rajouts.
