Bonne nourriture (malgré la présentation un peu bizarre dans des Tupperwares et bouteilles d'eau), très bons prix et très bon service. Le proprio nous a même laissé partir avec une des décorations, trop coOoOool!

Honnêtement, ça ne répond pas au critère d'un restaurant salvadorien la nourriture est pas fraîche du tout! L' avocat la salade de chou sec pour accompagner les pupusas! Je ne recommande pas!

Restaurant avec ambiance très calme rappelant les café européens. La bouffe était vraiment bonne et les sauces accompagnants les plats succulentes. Like ce commentaire et tu pourrais gagner un voyage au Salvador.

AMAZING pupusas! Such great value and good size for $4 each! I haven't had a popular so authentic and delicious since my best friend dated a Salvadorean guy. 10 years ago, lol. Heavenly, cheesy and not greasy at all! The perfect dish.
I wished I lived here, I would come every week, and be fat and happy! The happy hour margaritas were also very refreshing and tasty!

HAPPY HOUR is a SCAM! They advertise all cocktails are 2 for 1 but it’s not. Only certain cocktails are included and this does not apply to all size of drinks.

Ne perdez pas votre argent. Le client n’a pas raison! Nous avons commandé 4 cocktails et il n’y avait pas d’alcool dedans et ils ne savent pas faire les cocktails, quand nous avons passé le commentaire, on nous a dit que n’avions pas raison et ils n’ont rien fait pour arranger la situation. En plus, au moment de payer, ils nous ont chargé plus cher que le prix qui était affiché. Le gérant n’a pas voulu parler avec nous. Endroit très décevant!

Waw! J’ai beaucoup aimer leur nourriture tres belle portion surtout les Yuca quil cetait super bons! Je reviendrais c’est sur.

Belle variété de pupusas Salvadorien belle sauce à base de tomate fait maison.
Le cocktail piña colada excellent! Les nachos semblait fait maison également avec le jus de fraise c’était super bien. Serveur gentil

Musique insupportable, on ne s’entend tout simplement pas parler.la nourriture ne vaux pas le détour, passez votre chemin. Sans intérêt.

Ce n'est pas de la nourriture authentique salvadorienne. Il y a plusieurs restaurant salvadorien plus abordable et qui offre de meilleur pupusas.

La nourriture est excellente! Les pupusas sont juste parfaites! Et quoi dire du service! Toujours souriant, gentil et très rapide!

Charged us $60 per pitcher of Margaritas. Tried to swindle us because we were a large bachelor party.

Bien que les serveurs et le personnel semblaient gentils, l'expérience générale était décevante.
A l'arrivée, la musique etait assourdissante (qu'on se croirait en discothèque). Ensuite les plats et boissons commandés pour 5 ont mis tellement de temps à être servis (+40mn). Nous avions relancé 3 fois pour de l'eau qui est arrivée dans deux petites bouteilles eska qui étaient déjà ouvertes.
Les boissons. Les panchito étaient corrects mais on se demandait si il y avait de l'alcool (pour un cocktail aucune composition ecrite nulle part). La pina colada avait les 3/4 du verre couverts de mousse. Le verre de vin blanc rempli a ras bord (valait-il 38$? ! Puis surtout d'être servi au bout de 30mn et même pas frais? !). La caïpirinha etait une mixture de menthe coupee pas tres bonne qui ne ressemble en rien a la traditionnelle. Encore une fois aucune indication sur les ingredients composants les cocktails.
Les plats. Les pupusas ne sont pas exceptionnels mais mangeables. Le plat typique, le blanc de poulet et l'escalope de poulet pané (ce dernier plat a ete livré 20 mn après tous les autres plats, donc la 5e personne commençait quand nous finissions nos plats), sont corrects mais ne valent pas une facture aussi salée.
Au moment de payer, aucune facture n'est générée et on me tend directement l'appareil pour carte de crédit avec le montant de +196$, +220$ avec taxes.
Pour une premiere on est vraiment tous decus.

Good food, terrible service. Ordered food and it took over an hour to come, other big tables ordered and got their food before us, and ordered drinks and had to ask 3 times where they are and we are still waiting. Feels super understaffed which is sad cus it was great food.

The pupusa and tamales are very good in my opinion. The chicken was slightly overcooked but tasty. The horchata and fries could have been better. The server was also very friendly but it seemed like they were working alone so there was some delay.
Overall, 4 out of 5 starts!

Food was good, however drinks were made poorly with little to no alcohol. Biggest kicker is that the margaritas pitchers were 30 dollars more than any other type of pitcher and we were left to pay for 7,60$ pitchers of margaritas. Beware of the prices on drinks here as they will sweet talk you until it’s time for the bill.

Je marchais sur la rue quand j'ai remarqué qu'il y avait un resto salvadorien en plein quartier Latin. Ce qu'il y a de spécial, c'est le petit bar. J'ai pas encore goûter la bouffe mais j'imagine qu'elle sera excellente comme le propriétaire du reso, qui est très accueillant.

STAY AWAY! The worse restaurant I have been to in Montreal.
- Once you sit down the waitress will come to you with a 375cl plastic water bottle and ask if you would like some. They will charge you $2.50 for it without mentioning it (never seen that in Montreal).
- One of my friends ordered a single meal and was charged a trio (waitress refused to remove the charge saying the miscommunication was his fault)
- I ordered an enchilada and got a hard shell taco, complained and they brought me a hard shell taco again, I did not eat the second one and was charged for it
- The "mojito" is green sparkling water tasting mint
- My friend was served food in a Dollarama tupperware
- Awful wait times

One star for the pizza which was good but we got charged extras without it being mentioned on the menu

The waitress is decent and clearly fearing the cook (owner) as she will do everything to not take the blame

I found this place very friendly. Tacos and Mojito were amazingly delicious. Highly recommended!

It was an off day and where were we going to eat lunch on St. Denis? Luckily we spotted El Garrobo and I'm so glad we did. Fantastic pupusas. Great place for lunch!

Great food. The pupusas were especially good. The waiter was lovely and eating on the patio was fun!

I am really impressed with this restaurant in Montreal. The pupusas are ones of the best, and the carne asada with rice, beans and salad was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it.

I just had the most amazing meal ever. Everything was so good and fresh. The steak was perfect with a incredible sauce. The salad was amazing.
The reception there is incredibly friendly. They are super nice and always concern if everything is ok with the client.

Came with 5 friends. I had Combo #1 (chicken + fruits de mer). Ate food from El Salvador for the first time. It was quite delicious and the service was really good. Would recommend to a friend.

The staff and owner are so friendly and welcoming! First time trying salvadoran food and i absolutely loved it.the tres leches cake was to die for

Myself and my partner were curious about trying papusas, so decided to stop here for lunch. Almost didn't, because of a couple of the reviews on here, but we both really enjoyed the food and the service.

We ordered a selection of vegetarian papusas, yucca fries, guac and chips, and a dreamy glass of fresh pineapple juice. It tasted homemade and fresh and the house-made hot sauce was delicious with a good kick. Enjoyed it all, and it seemed reasonably priced to me. And our server was.jolly isn't the right word, but he seemed genuinely happy to be there and pleased we enjoyed our meals. Truly had a different experience than those who left negative reviews.

J'ai eu l'occasion de manger le trio #7 avec une bonne Heineken.
Frais, savoureux et surtout santé, une portion parfaite pour 30$.

J'ai hâte d'aller dans leur soirée dance le vendredi.

Meilleur resto Salvadorien sur le Plateau Mt Royal! Nous avons commandé pour emporter, les pupusas étaient généreuses et goûteuses avec une généreuse portion d’accompagnements. J’étais très content de voir qu’ils proposaient les pupusas avec du fromage et du Lorroco qui est une fleur comestible salvadorienne. La pupusas Loca était également très bonne et goûteuse ainsi que l’accompagnement de plantain frit servi à la salvadorienne. Très satisfait, le service était chaleureux et courtois, nous allons définitivement recommander la prochaine fois que nous avons faim pour des bonnes pupusas!

I just bought a plate called « plato tipico «  I couldn’t cut the steak because the meat was sooooo hard it was terrible. The rice was over cooked sticky to the max. Usually I never complain but honestly the food was not good at all. Never ordering there again

Très bon restaurant Salvadorien. Beau décor, bon service et plats gastronomiques. Les pupusas sont un peu plus cher qu'ailleurs, pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas 2 ou 3 c'est suffisant, donc entre 8 et 12$ pour manger sur St-Denis dans un beau resto, c'est excellent! Il y a des musiciens le vendredi et samedi soir.

Absolument inmangeable. Pire nourriture que j’ai mangé de ma vie. Plus de 50$ pour 3 pupusas (dont 2 à l’ail alors que nous n’avions pas commandé ça), 3 tacos (poulet sec et coriace), une guacamole brunie au goût douteux, et quelques yucas imbibées d’eau de tomate. C’était une expérience vraiment frustrante et décevante.

The most authentic food from El Salvador, the moment you take a step inside you will be transported to the tiny country in Central America. The pupusas, tamales are prepared just like back home. You will not be disappointed. This is truly a hidden gem hidden within Montreal, & because of this you can get a nice table without waiting & get the freshest dinner.

Je suis aller récemment c'étais pas super bon et il y avait pas un chat sur la terrasse et a l'intérieur je demande si la rotation de la nourriture est contrôlé? En passant $2,87 pour une bouteille d"eau!

Expérience mitigée au global. Ce n’était pas mauvais mais ce n’était pas non plus super.
Le plus intéressant en quantité / prix restent les pupusas même si ça pourrait être plus « gourmand ». Le menu table d’hôte est correct. Cadre moyen sauf si vous êtes sur la terrasse. En bref c’est juste correct.

I wanted to give this place a second chance but definitely not worth eating here. 2-3 years ago I ordered pupusas, cheese didn’t taste good, I found whole beans in the pupusa when it was supposed to be refried beans, they will ALWAYS mix up your order and when I got home I had a pupusa I didn’t order (cheese with GARLIC?) Never heard about that when in El Salvador and it’s not good unless you like eating big pieces of garlic.

Last night, I ordered delivery I wanted some pupusas and didn’t felt like going to my favourite Savadorean restaurant that is a bit far so I ordered here. BIG MISTAKE the cheese is disgusting, I get it that it’s “gourmet” but pupusas don’t need that horrible smell of cheese like plastic, stinky feet. Pupusas are simple and don’t need anything gourmet to make them taste good. The salsa and “curtido” horrible horrible. This is not the place to taste REAL Salvadorean food, believe me. Yes the place is nice, but food is just bad. Go somewhere else you will pay less and food will be much better.

Not what you're use to when you're seeking to just have pupusas. I'm reluctant to call Salvadorian cuisine "gourmet" as our dishes are very cultural and modest. However, I have nothing against what this restaurant is trying to do. It's located in an area where you tipycally find fancy restaurants so it's only normal that you have to lift it up a notch when it comes to interior design.

I do need to point out that this place is more expensive than other well known Salvadorian restaurants in town but that's to be expected. Size and portions were smaller than what I'm use to. Overall, we had a good time and that's what matters. If you want to take your partner out to enjoy central american cuisine and have a taste of romance, this is a good place to go.

One friend of mine recommended me this restaurant. We had dinner during a very quiet and cold evening (-33 C with chill factor) and the place was desert. I had to ask to lower the volume of the music to be able to have a conversation without shouting. The service was very kind and attentive. It took a long time to get our dishes but we did not mind because it allowed us to have plenty time for conversation. We ordered a combo of fried yuca and pupusas, the latter were tasty but a little bit salty. I had the flan for dessert and it was ok, coffee was good. Overall I would recommend the place. I am looking forward to having brunch here on a Sunday.

Their specialty is poupousas. They were delicious, not as greasy as other restaurants but sometimes I like the grease. Had the tacos for an entree. Was satisfied would go back.
