M. Lube

Just dropped in at random for an oil change without an appointment. It was quick and efficient. I was surprised that I was told to stay in the car, but that was not a problem.
The guys were very polite, and didn't try to upsell me anything. That means a lot to me.

I am currently sitting in the DDO M. Lube.the mechanic crashed the car with the emergency brake on says tires did nothing to the floor even though the concrete is gouged from my studs.
Refused to give manager details, said he is the manager, even though the website seems to list someone else as manager.
Refused to call his boss.
Demanded we pay and leave.
Immediately stopped completing the work on the car - it could not possibly be finished because the other car that was here for the same thing took much much longer.
Refused to give us a copy of a report on what happened or proof of what he did.
Locked us in when we said we would not pay without a copy of his report.
Opened the door after we called the cops. Now we are waiting for the cops.

He got polite and apologetic after the cops arrived!

Do NOT EVER come here!

(It's the next afternoon. The verbally violent mechanic who told us someone would call us FIRST THING IN THE MORNING lied. No one has called us, and our car has substantial damage from their mechanic crashing into the garage. If you care about your clients, CONTACT US. Do not tell me to email a random service account, give me details to reach A SPECIFIC PERSON or I will file a complaint with l'office de la protection pour les consumateurs. Our car is DAMAGED and we were forced to PAY FOR IT! It was almost $500 for fluid changes he did not finish, and $900 for our tires, and god knows how much for the damage to the car! It will rust with that huge gouge! I have photos and video of the mechanic, he was hostile and agressive to my wife, refused to even speak to me saying he would ONLY speak to my wife, even though she told him I spoke for her. He then approached her aggressively and I had to step between them. When I told him I was recording him now, he tried to kick me out of the garage! He broke our car! He should be fired - and the repairs to our car should come out of his outstanding pay.)

Showed up 3pm on Saturday. Nobody there. Wouldn’t take me for a tire change, because people had appointments. But you can’t make an appointment, you have to just show up. What kind of business is this? And to the person answering these reviews saying they take feedback seriously, I don’t believe you. This is one of dozens of horrible reviews for this location. Make some changes, implement feedback.

They said no appointments so I was in the line 2 hours, when it was my turn they said that you have to be on the list, that's an appointment! I was there and asked last Tuesday they said no appointments! If you are not in a line waiting and you have to be on a book and in a specific hour that's an appointment!

I don't even give them 1 star. I went to have a regular oil change, I waited at the door when no customers were there, I had to go in and ask them if they were working, as they had me waiting there without caring that I was waiting to be serviced. After that the person that serviced my car, took literally 45 minutes for an oil change, he also changed one of my vent filters, prices are expensive, for a synthetic oil change plus the filter, they charged me $190.00 CAD.
When he noticed I am no car expert, he wanted to see if he could get me to change more things; I had already told him that the car had just gone to inspection at the dealer, then he got in my car and asked me if my transmission oil had to be changed (my car is manual and it uses the same oil as the engine, it does not use a different transmission oil).
Soon after, my car, which has never leaked oil, started leaking oil. I thought it was due to the synthetic oil, I called the dealer and the service agent said it was impossible that the car would be leaking due to the synthetic oil. While servicing my car for brakes my spouse got to see that the drain plug was NOT completely tightened. He went back to tell them and he said he saw them have to give it a complete full turn to secure it.
How hard can it be to close the plug properly? They do this all day long. How incompetent do they need to be?
At the end of the oil servicing I had to ask to have my bill because the guy was just walking around with the machine!
I will never go there again and I will tell anyone that I know never to go to that place! Terrible service, terrible customer service, expensive and not worth it.

Preety quick.told me that i need brake oil change but it was full when i opened it.be carefull be aware what u going there for? They can recommend u something which u dont really need

Guy was rude and he changed my dashboard to mph after trying to get me to pay a extra hundred for flushing my supposedly over heating rad.

It was pretty expensive and it took over an hour from when I got there despite the “15-minute” branding. Staff was friendly but sloooooooow

They were always more expensive than anywhere for any service, but it was worth it because of the customer service. Used to refill fluids, offer you a drink, be friendly and honest about what they are doing. Now with new management, the prices are still extremely expensive, no fluid refills, completely dishonest about what needs to be done, and the customer service is awful. Very rude management. The young staff there work very hard, but they're put in a bad position because of their management. My car was on the lift for over an hour today just for a simple tire change, with only one other customer there, and they still had the audacity to charge me over $100 to change them. Last time I went for an oil change, they left a screw driver under my hood - and I didn't notice until I heard clanging from under there while driving. Won't go back for any service again.

UPDATE: after my argument yesterday with the manager I'm driving my car and a panel came loose under my car that I'm now repairing somewhere else. Too much of a coincidence since it's a new car and it's never had a problem. Absolute scammers. Do not go here!

Terrible customer service I showed up and they said 2 cars untill they can pass me I end up waiting 45 mins and I go back in to ask hey what's up they told me come back at 4 pm mind you I showed up at 12: 30, please nobody come here.they do not work well or efficiently please read all the bad reviews they are terrible please close your building down garage place

Walked in for tire change and walked right back out. Extreamly RUDE service. Will take my business anywhere but here!

I have had my oil changes done here for the last several years
But, after today, I will be looking elsewhere. I found that the employees were not very friendly or helpful.

Normally I don't give 5 stars easily, The mechanic Irai Ven, offered a great service, I can see his passion on doing his job. Came 8am in morning and gave my name and number and got call at 12noon and done in 20 min. All guys work very fast just to make sure that most people can get their tires changed on time. Rodney…. Ur doing great job!

I am extremely disappointed by the service, or lack there of, that I received at Mr Lube DDO today. I drove up to the garage door and waited for an employee to greet me/allow me to drive inside as clearly stipulated on the outside of the building. After about 30 minutes of waiting (one hour before they closed), I was approached by an employee saying that they did not have time to take me for an oil change today and asked if I could come back tomorrow. Apparently, they were switching over to tire changes for the rest of their opening hours and were getting ready to serve the gentleman who came 20 minutes after me. Keep in mind, Mr Lube advertises that you can get services quickly without an appointment (15 minutes for an oil change). The employee said his manager sent him outside to talk to me because he didn't want to come talk to me himself. I understand that this is the season for tire changes and that needs to be a priority.but, in my opinion, that is terrible customer service and they completely wasted my time. I will not be going back there for any services in the future, nor will I recommend this place to anyone I know.

I dropped off the car for tire change at 10. And i asked the price and i was told $75 plus tx. I also requested to put the two better ones in front. First of all, they charged me $94 plus tx and they said they made a mistake but they didn't reduce the price anyway.when I ooked at the tires i realized they made a mistake and i had to wait 30 mins so they fix it.

I have come to this location 6 times in the last 10 days around 4 pm & each time I am told they don't have time for a tire change. What is the point of no appointment if they never have the time?

Would not offer service 1 hour before closing, back in my Jiffy Lube days we worked overtime and liked it,

I went on Sunday to get my flat tire fix and with 6 people working there I was told that nobody is available to fix tire. The mechanic was so rude and was literally shouting and when asked his name he said that he won’t give and can do whatever he wants. Been going to this place for years since opened but nobody ever spoke like this! Totally unacceptable!

I suggest not coming here. First time I came they closed at 7 got here at 5: 45 the guy inside asked what I was here for. Told him I needed an oil change he looks at me and says « not today ». Came back at noon on a Friday took them 30 minutes just to get me in the shop when They only had one car, then another 30 minutes for the oil change.not impressed with this place at all you have one guy working the other 5 guys just stand around on their phone

They refused to take my car to change a tire, they claim both their machines were not working. Lazy employees.

Make yourself a favor and find another place. Even if it's a different Mr.lube

This place it’s the worst the mechanic are very disrespect-full whit me and other customers he technically kick me out and yelling on me because he wasn’t strong Enough to remove the lug nuts, and a black guy come downstairs and start yelling on me because his mechanic been working there I don’t know for how long and he just told me “I can’t do nothing just leave my shop and he start yelling me in front other people “ when he even try to remove the first tire! This place is garbage because the people there need to learn how treat the people go away from here!

Cheap and fast services. I've been bringing my f-150 to M. Lube for over 2 years. Very happy with their services!

This review serves to advise you not to use this shop.

I went in to get an oil change. While they had my car, they fast-talked me into a transmission fluid change, beginning the work before consulting me. Sure, it needed to be changed, but they did not consult with me before initiating the procedure and I had not budgeted to spend the $200+ that they charged me that day.

The oil change went fine, until the next time I went to change my oil at a different shop. It turns out the threading on the oil pan is stripped. Now I will have to replace my oil pan, thanks to the last guys who changed my oil.

Long story short, the mechanics at this shop will fast-talk you into paying for services you may not want, and in addition will damage your vehicle.
I advise you to avoid this shop.
Canadian Tire is just around the corner and will do a more professional job.

Always number 1 service at any Mr Lube locations. Wish Mr lube st Dorothy laval didn't close. There's a nice spot 50 feet away from where it used to be. Call me I'll let you know

Don’t even bother wasting your time here, went in for an oil change and they didn’t tighten the bolt properly causing a leak and very expensive repairs which they are denying accountability for.if you like wasting money and time then this is the place.i’ve heard other horror stories about this place, not sure why it hasn’t been shut down yet.

Terrible place for oil change! They caused damage to my vehicle and refuse to pay for the damages. They are even lying and saying that their technician didn't open the rear differential. Lies! They showed me a paper with oil on it saying I should consider changing it. Don't trust them with your car. The convenience is not worth the potential problems and $$$$$$ it will cost you.

Was not informed of cost of tire change until after work was completed and it ended ubeing $210 to change tires? ! Well over twice the price of any other garage AND p they stripped one of my lugs and I had to leave with 4 lug bolts instead of 5 on one of my wheels.

2 months ago I had the oil and cabin filter changed. All good so far.
My last visit was for tires change. The team was nice and polite. The jobs were done in a good timeline. I was very satisfied with the overall service and I am happy to be one of the happy customers.

Ils m'ont dit qu'ils ne pouvaient pas les installer sur mon pick-up, j'ai dit d'accord, je vais le faire à la maison.mais quand ils ont dit le prix à payer était de $201.16, je ne pouvais pas y croire j'ai trouvé cela vraiment exagéré. Un VOL flagrant, généralement dans le passé j'ai payé 60 $ 80 $. Tout compris même l'installation dans la voiture. Je ne reviendrai jamais à cet endroit.s'il vous plaît fais attention et cherchez ailleurs ne faites pas la même erreur que j'ai fait.

It was the worst experience ever, since they do not give appointments, had to wait infront of their place prior to opening an hour and half to get a turn. Upon arrival at 7: 30AM one car was ahead of me waiting. When it was my turn to get my summer/winter tires swapped, they could not lift the van as their hoist is so short in length and they have no other means such as a manual lift. Waisted 3 hours of my time and decided not to to even change the engine oil. M Lube, I will never reach out for your services. Their oppology "Sorry" we cant addend the service requested was not enough for me.

Went in for oil change for my dad’s car.they opened the rear differential from the drain instead of the other opening used to check the levels. They didn’t put it back tight enough and all the oil leaked out, 4 days later the entire differential exploded costing a cool 2.2k. Management is denying it’s their fault saying they never opened the differential but then how did they smear the oil from my differential on a paper towel and show it to me? They’re nothing but dishonest and unprofessional, i’ve read about similar situations happening at this location so they clearly do not know what they’re doing.pay the extra and get your maintenance done at the dealership, they’re not worth the headache.

Shut this place down. Don't go here unless you want your car to break down in the middle of a busy highway. Much better options in the area that are more professional and trustworthy.

I will try and stay as objective as possible in this review, but currently is very hard to do so. We would've preferred to solve these issues privately, if any representatives of Mr. Lube would like to talk it would be greatly appreciated.

Please read, this concerns professionalism, accountability, but most importantly safety.
We went to Mr. Lube for a simple oil change. They convinced us to take a "forfait specialite" which included a front and rear differential oil change. Fine so far, we went on a drive that weekend only to realize on the highway that our vehicle was jerking and not functioning properly (it was losing power, and from the front hood we could hear a grinding metallic sound). We had to pull over in a construction zone on the highway, and after inspection we decided it would be best to just get towed to the nearest dealership.

At the dealership they found 2 main issues:
1. There was NO OIL in the front or rear differential. IN FACT, the front oil WAS PUT IN THE TRANSMISSION INSTEAD.
2. THAT SAME OIL IT OVERFLOWED WHICH DESTROYED THE TRANSMISSION.

The issues didn't end there.
1. After talking to the Mr. Lube advisor, he stated he would send someone to inspect the car at the dealership. Which the individual "drove the car around", they stated that the "transmission was fine" and wanted our consent to tow the car from the dealership to the Mr. Lube to then hire a mechanic to fix the vehicle, because it was "too expensive" to pay the 3400$ repair fees (including labor) at the dealership.
-> note that the dealership informed us that the individual who "came to inspect the car" only drove 3 car lengths prior to parking the car.idk about you, but if the car was actually "fine" why don't they just drive it all the way to their Mr. Lube.

2 For the past week or so, they have been asking to send the vehicle to "a garage", but are refusing to say which one and refusing to allow us to chose a garage that we trust.

3. We requested a rental car, they said, no they couldn't do that.

Attached below are pictures of the towing. We would like to attach the emails and dealership reports of all the broken parts, but as this may turn into a legal matter we were advised not to share those documents publicly for now.

Had my oil changed on August 24. They checked the rear differential oil and showed me the oil on a paper. Said it needed to be changed soon in 5000kms and I said okay and went on my way. Four days later I was in Ontario and my rear differential seized. Had it towed to a Subaru dealer. They told it it seized because the oil leaked out from the cap. When I contacted Mr. Lube they refused to pay for the damages. Flat out lied. They said they never checked the oil and that the technician only recommended the oil change according to the mileage. Liars! They are incompetent. Next step will be small claims court! Don't get your oil changed at Mr.lube. I Did some research and found that it is very common for Mr. Lube to make these type of mistakes and not take responsibility for it. Even lied about what the service advisor from Subaru said. Don't trust them with your car!

They said an oil change and transmission fluid change would take 10 min it literally took them 30-40 min and we were in a rush to get somewhere. Proceeds to tell us 5 more minutes so I think 10 but in reality it was more like 15. Also said the price would be 180 then says the total is 290. Sorta wish he meant total price as that's what I was referring to when I meant how much will it be.

Professionals staff and well experienced, am not sure if I would change M.lube with another, am well satisfied with their service.

Sidt m'a servi. Très gentil, il a pris le temps de m'expliquer l'entretien que je dois effectuer sur le véhicule selon le kilométrage et selon ce qu'il voyait. Bien-sûr, il faut en prendre et en laisser selon l'entretien qui a été fait. Il a travaillé efficacement et dans les 15 minutes promis! D'ailleurs, je suis venu sans rendez-vous. Il a même pris le temps de discuter un peu de mécanique avec moi! Je ne sais pas si c'est un protocole normal dans cet établissement, ou si c'est à cause de la COVID (c'était ma première fois à cet établissement), mais j'ai trouvé ça pratique de pouvoir rester assis dans ma voiture pendant le changement d'huile.

Arrived at 7 and left at 10: 20. At first I suspected it was taking a while due to a long lineup but after being told there were only 2 cars ahead of me and noticing that of the two employees only one at a time would work while the other texted I grew increasingly frustrated. In the past tire changed were complete within the hour but it seems newer employees care far less about customer's time. Extremely frustrated at missed class and poor service and after coming here for every tire and oil change since 2014 I will need to find a new mechanic. I could have changed my own tires in 3 hours and it wouldn't have cost 100$+.

Edit: the price was also increased by 40 dollars and I was not informed until the work was done. When I asked the employee why I wasn't informed first he replied "well no you know". Totally unacceptable service deeply dissapointed.

I suspect that COVID protocols have changed the way they do business. It just seemed more impersonal and production line like in their approach. Wasn't shown the oil level after the change, as was once the practice. I know that offering beverages or a newspaper are somewhat contrary to minimizing exposure to the virus. Just seems that I paid to be an inconvenience.

Went for an oil change only. If I wasn't watching them they were going g to change the air and cabin filters without my consent. Not impressed.

Had an oil change and fee days later, noticed a leak. I brought it back and told them about it. They were nice enough to look at it and tighten whatever was loose. An employee started filling up some liquid and the supervisor stopped him. I asked the supervisor to put some oil at a level to compensate the leak and he answered: "There wasn't much oil losa and to just clean the stain my garage floor. " No need to argue but they definitely lost me as a client.

Went to Mr Lube for the first time. Other than the up-sell attempts I found the service efficient. After the service I found oil pooling underneath my car. A 3rd part quickly pointed out that the Mr. Lube employee had failed to tighten the oil drain plug. For safety and peace of mind I recommend looking elsewhere for service.

Très mauvais service. Nous avons attendu 1h avant quils aillent fini de changer les pneus d’1 voiture! Ils n’ont pas l’air de travailler.
