They only opened because a show was on and there was a killing to be made from the crowd looking for a place to eat and drink before the show.

The wait was long and the seating was cramped. They offered a modified menu. My wife paid 8$ for what tasted exactly like a 7up (virgin mojito) because their mixed drinks just said "ask your sever" and anything off their online menu they didn't have. They only had Labat Blue, Coors, or some other similar beer to drink. Their calamari came with marinara (?) and while their wings were not bad, neither of them were worth the price they charged. We didn't order mains because of how long it took for our waiter to get to us any time, despite the fact that the waiter was very happy to take shots with other tables and make much ado about pouring wine, etc.

Waited forever for the waiter to get to us, never got the water we asked for, and took 20m to bring us our bill.

I understand the business incentive and the general reviews reflect the oscillating approach to clientele depending on if there's an event at the Bell Center or not, but it was frankly unpleasant to be ignored, bumped into, and gouged. Given the same circumstances I would go to McDonalds.

Not much to say, really. I expected better, but the service, food, and atmosphere were just okay.

As we were being seated, the hostess mentioned a weird rule of us not being allowed to stay long because of the concert happening that night. It really put us off and made us feel unwelcomed. We finished our food and drinks, asked for the bill, and went somewhere else.

I really wouldn't recommend.

We took reservation for supper on hockey night. There was so much unexpected traffic on the road coming from south shore that we couldn't avoid to be late, and we did prepared ourselves prior, still wasn't enough time to reach our destination. I called 5 times, no one responded our phone. Left the message that we are coming. We were late and our reservation was automatically cancelled because we were late. That was an answer from lady at the front. Never will i come back to this Madison ever again.

Je ne recommande pas en temps d'événements, car, les lumières des voitures de police surveillant le centre bell, aveuglait les gens de ma table (les fenêtres ne sont pas teintées ou quoi que ce soit).

Service impeccable! Des gens qui font tout pour satisfaire nos moindres demandes. Le repas était délicieux!

Going to the hockey game, this place is convenient. The food is fair and it was extremely busy and hectic. Make a reservation!

Pire expérience de service a la clientèle vécu avec la propriétaire. N'encouragez pas cette franchise, allez à la Cage en face. L'ambiance est 1000x mieux, le service et la nourriture aussi.

Longue attente avant de rentrer (sans problème car à cette heure, c'est normal) mais on décide de regarder le menu en ligne pour sauver du temps car on allait voir une partie du Canadien. On avait choisi ce resto pour mes restrictions alimentaires au gluten. Plusieurs options intéressantes sont affichées. On commande 2 pepsi qui arrivent 15 minutes plus tard à moitié flat. Compte tenu de notre horaire serré, on les a bu quand même. Rendu à commander, je demande un cheese burger avec pain sans gluten, tel qu'affiché dans le menu en ligne. La serveuse me regarde d'un air complètement désemparrée et à bout de souffle me répond qu'ils n'ont pas ça et que ma seule option est de prendre le Burger sans pain, mais que ça va avoir l'air d'une grosse gibelotte molle! Elle me dit aussi qu'ils n'ont aucune option sans gluten et que le menu en ligne est pas bon et ça fait des années qu'elle leur dit de le changer! Finalement, je prends les côtés levées malgré le gluten qui s'y trouve. Je demande aussi du ketchup et de la mayo pour nos frites. Une fois nos ribs servit, on remarque qu'il y a à peine de sauce et que les ribs sont secs. On demande donc d'avoir de la sauce car il n'y en a pratiquement pas. La serveuse nous répond éffrontée, "ils beurrent juste un côté et un coup de pinceau. Ils sont vraiment pas bon dans la cuisine! " Donc, elle nous dit qu'elle nous changera un supplément de sauce à $3 chaque! 15 minutes plus tard, nos sauces arrivent enfin! Après avoir demandé à 3 serveurs/euses différents, la mayo et ketchup arrive aussi. 20 minutes après avoir eu notre repas! Au final, les ribs étaient très bof, les frites molles et minuscules, la sauce goûtait la sauce cheap d'épicerie et le Pepsi était flat. Sans compter le nombre de fois que notre serveuse "bitchait" sur le staff de la cuisine.donc, je ne recommande cet endroit à personne qui voudrait avoir un moment agréable dans un bon restaurant! Apart la déco, rien de positif à dire!

I showed up at 16h30 before a concert. The restaurant was packed but the restaurant is right next to the Bell Center, so I expect them to be prepared for a lot of people and orders.

We ordered our drinks and food at 16h45. Our drinks arrived 45 minutes later.the waitress never came to see us in that time lapse.

We ordered an entree of calmar, ribs and steak. I received my steak at 18h00 before the entree. My girlfriend didnt receive her food. We then received the entree 10 mins later. My girlfriend received her ribs around 18h30. I was waiting to eat with her soo i ended up eating cold.

The calmar was the worst ive eating in a long time. My steak was a piece of cheap meat. My girlfriends ribs were good.

It cost me 170$ for 2 and i was disapointed from the start to finish. Not worth the price.

Very disappointed in the food. It was our first and last time at Madisons. The burger was beyond burnt, the hamburger bun was burnt. The calamari was tasteless and the ribs average at best. The service was very friendly. We were 3 people and the bill came to $135. We wouldn’t go back if they paid us to go back.

Pire expérience de ma vie si jetais un sans honte j’aurais laisser 0% de tips, la serveuse nous place dans un coin isolé comme si yavais pas d’autre place en plus on lui a meme fais comprendre que ca fesait pas notre affaire mais on s’est quand meme assi la, pas de sel poivre sur la table, meme pas suggéré par les serveurs, ils nous ont pas servis de verre d’eau, plats froid, steak de thons pas coupé, thon pas frais, jai pas fini mon plats payer et jsui sortie total 148$ pour deux vendredi 14octobre 20h50

We had a happy hour as a big group and the venue was enticing and classy.
The restaurant management could have done a better job with noting down the details of our reservation and handling the discontentment with a higher level of courtesy. The restaurant was almost empty, but there was some antsy scrambling over how to accommodate our group, which tarnished our experience.
It was rectified by the professionalism and graciousness of our waiter, Charlotte, who made us feel welcome and served us relentlessly with a smile and ease. Thank you for making our evening, Charlotte!

I have been here about 10 months ago. It was quite empty at the time due to restrictions, so we didn’t need to wait. I had found it expensive for the quality (not good). And I remember the beer “selection” was awfully poor for what Montreal has to offer nowadays –it’s as if they hadn’t changed their beer providers since 2005.
But more importantly: if one takes the time to scroll down reading reviews here, most of them are really really bad and management keeps saying that they take guest feedback seriously and that they would like the client's contact information. However, if they did take guest feedback seriously, there wouldn’t be so many bad reviews for years now. Bottom line: don’t waste your time.

I went there with my son and his girlfriend before a hockey game. Got there around 5: 15. We got seated with our menus and waited 10 minutes for someone to come and see us. We ordered right away, so around 5: 30. The place was about half full I guess. It took 45 minutes for my son and his girlfriend to get their plates. And mine was nowhere to be found. I am diabetic so I really had to eat before going to the game. So I get up to speak to the manager as to explain the situation, by this time I was ''hangry'', but did not make a scene because I'm not that kind of person. The manager apologized and offerd me something ''quick'', witch I refused because we had to go. Then the manager said she was going to email me a gift certificate for next time. This was 3 weeks ago.

This place is waaaay overpriced (2 plates and an nacho dip ran me up 100$, no drinks). Food was kind of warm, I guess, and over cooked. The service was terrible. I do not usually complain since I have been in their shoes already. But this was just too much for me to not say anything.

We went for the KarolG concert had dinner the menu was limited. The service was good but the food was really bad. My friend is allergic to tomatoes and told her they cannot modify her order so she orders a burger and they still put a Tomato. My veggie burger had no taste and it had no flavour. Will never go back very expensive for what you get.

Le menu est ridiculement petit. Notre steak est arrivé sans à côté, seulement le steak dans l'assiète qui semblait être tout nu. La serveuse a oublié de donner la commande de ma conjointe à la cuisine donc son assiète arrivé beaucoup plus tard et pour finir la serveuse est parti avec ma bière que je buvais encore (il est restait la moitié) sur un coup de vent. Vraiment horrible, je ne recommende pas à personne.

Was really busy and tables placed too close together. Felt rushed to finish and make room for next customers.

Le soir d’un événement au Centre Bell, malgré l’achalandage, le service était rapide, courtoie et de qualité. La nourriture y est très bonne. Arrivez tôt puisqu’il n’est pas possible de réserver la journée même d’un événement (certains clients semblent avoir pu réserver en s’y prenant d’avance).

Formula 1 weekend, bachelor party. Absolutely HORRENDOUS service. 90 mins waiting for food, garlic mashed potatoes virtually tasteless, Ribs cold. How is this place still open? Go to Madisons Sources West island for a proper experience.

Service was alright, my 2 friends and I had the same orders for dinner. The restaurant was relatively empty, not too busy. I rarely complain when it comes to food and restaurants, however, the limited menu and food was very disappointing. For starters, you'd expect a decent amount of ceasar salad if you're paying $9, but they were very very stingy with the portions and dressing. Just to give you an idea, the food at my school cafeteria is overpriced and yet they still offer about 4 times as much salad for less than what I paid for here. Our drinks were very diluted with a lot of ice and no free refills of course. I understand there's a markup because it's directly next to the Bell center, but for a $30 burger, you'd expect it to taste decent, right? However the patty was very dry and overcooked which is absolutely unacceptable at that price, I mean come on! For the quality of food they're serving and at that price, I'm surprised they're still in business. Honestly, save your money, you're better off eating at McDonald's or frozen food from the Provigo next door.

Deuxième la valeur qualité prix est aucunement justifié. Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que nous mangeons. Je le déconseille sauf si vous bien mal pris. Je n’ai aucun problème à payer lorsque la qualité du repas et le service en valent la peine. Tout est très basic et les cuissons et qualité des viandes ne sont pas adéquates … les cocktails ne sont pas très intéressant et que dire du menu… il ne correspond pas à ce que nous voyons sur le site web

Very busy.and expensive. 2 appetizers and a couple drinks, almost $100. Appetizers were nothing special. Drinks were average. Once they knew we weren't ordering entrées, the brought the bill and rushed us out the restaurant. Save your money for something better.

Je n'ai pas apprécié mon expérience à ce restaurant. Les commandes ont été prises sans faire part de nos extras et substitutions, mais nous ont été chargées. Les prix sur notre facture étaient plus élevés que sur leur menu. J'ai payé ma facture presque 10$ de plus.

La nourriture était correcte, sans plus. Les serveurs vous donnent un temps limité pour consommer/manger.

Prévoyez-vous entre 40 et 60$ par personne.

Very busy but was worth the wait cause of the food and the hospitality. I commend my waiter for being top notch cause she was getting bombarded with orders from my group. The food was good and they kept coming with the drinks. For a busy place like that to rush and accommodate customers is quite impressive!

My table of 4 waited an hour and a half after ordering our food and never received anything. The waitress was quiet rude and didn’t seem to care. When’s we said we were leaving all she said was ok bye. Very disappointed

We went to eat at Madison’s after Disney on ice with 6 kids. They were very organized, we were happily greeted at the door and assigned a table. Our waiter came to see us right away and gave the kids a colouring sheet and crayons all Disney themed! The waiter took the kids orders right away, and brought kid friendly cups with drinks inside. The kids loved there chicken fingers and fries, and us, adults, really enjoyed our food as well. Overall the staff was extremely friendly and happy creating a great environment for the kids after the show. They were very understanding of the many demands of serving children. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This place is in the heart of downtown Montreal a very key location, right across the Bell centre home of the Canadian Habs, me and my girlfriend walked in to Madison’s yesterday which was a pretty big day game 5 for the Canadians VS Las Vegas. The staff was super welcoming and nice, they offered amazing customer service. We ordered 2 draft Heineken beers, the server came back and explained that the tap is not working even though the owner fixed, as she handed us our beers the owner came to the bar and our server expressed to him that the tap was still not working…he didn’t seem to look too worried or care about it, pretty questionable since it was a pretty big day. We ordered nachos for our app, on the menu it says they come with shredded mozzarella cheese veggies and at the end it says something about a queso sauce, a bit misleading since not all the veggies and cheese are grouped together in the toppings…. The nachos arrived not even 5 minutes after ordering them we were shocked, these were by far the most disgusting nachos we ever had, it was a bunch of tortilla chips with veggies and that nasty queso nacho sauce you’d get out of a pump at a movie theatre, the nachos were not even baked in the oven the veggies were all cold and no shredded cheese. We right away flagged down our waitress and explained that my gf is lactose intolerant and that she can only eat certain types of cheese we thought that the nachos came with shredded mozzarella cheese, like I said earlier the topping were a bit misleading since they’re not all grouped together. The waitress took the nachos back saying that she would change them, the owner threw some shredded cheese on top of the nasty queso sauce baked them in the oven and served them back to us. We didn’t even eat a quarter of them, they were the worst nachos we ever had, he also refused to take them off our bill not that we asked him too but we overheard the staff talking to him about it…. His response was something along the lines off, this is how I do it if they don’t like it too bad. I will never step foot in this place again and highly recommend you don’t…. I can’t imagine how disgusting the rest of the menu is with an owner with a attitude like that. We went across to la cage au sport had amazing food and really good service I highly recommend you go there. Shame on the owner of Madison’s you shouldn’t be in restaurent industry or in the hospitality industry at all, find a new career!

Service was good. Food was trash, the fish was burnt on first bit. 210 for me. The price does not match the quality.

Horrible service, rude staff and waitress was horrible, overall a horrible experience if I could give negative stars I would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Very good steakhouse. Service is professional. Food is tasty. You can get steaks but also sea dishes. I do recommend the place for a formal lunch or supper. I had a bavette with a classic potato

Don’t go there before attending an event at Bell Centre. We waited in line for one hour and we had to eat really fast to get to the hockey game in time. The tables were crammed together and the overall experience was terrible. Plus food price is ridiculous and low-quality.

Mauvaise expérience, les plats arrivent très tard et ne sont pas cuits correctement après la commande, le service ne vient pas donner de " update " pour dire si notre plat arrive ou non. Peut-être que nous étions tombés sur une mauvaise soirée, mais cela ne devrait pas prendre presque 2 heures pour recevoir une salade (avec des ingrédients qui manquaient dans celle-ci).

Bad, bad, bad. Very limited menu. Some meals are simply inedible. The service is slow, impolite and confused. Never again.

Nous étions un groupe de 3 et après 1 heure dans la file d'attente, nous étions les prochains à entrer dans le restaurant. Le portier a cependant refusé que nous entrions afin de donner priorité à des groupes de 2. Il nous a demandé de nous mettre dans une autre file d'attente. Nous avons décidé de quitter et ce restaurant fait maintenant partie de notre liste noire.

Our waiter was great at giving us tips like, the Tartar is made with big cuts and kind of blend, if you like it smaller and with more punch, pick something else.

The Thai flanc salad was good.

À éviter si vous avez des enfants qui mangent comme des moineaux.pas de menu enfant contrairement aux autres Madisons (pas d’assiette de croquettes ou autre chose de bien basic en version adulte que les enfants plus difficile puissent manger) et aucune assiette en bas de 25$. Je ne sais pas s’il s’agissait d’un menu qui avait été « gonflé » en raison d’un événement au Centre Bell, mais c’est bien la dernière fois que nous y allions en famille.

La nourriture est vraiment trop cher et vraiment ordinaire au goût. Il n'y a pas grand chose dans les assiettes pour le prix. La pire expérience de filet mignon à vie pour mon conjoint. C'était de la semelle de bottes carrément. Le filet mignon est 100 fois meilleur au St-Hubert alors je vous laisse trouver l'erreur. Pas de verres d'eau nous à été offert ou de pain. Franchement je ne sais pas pourquoi ce restaurant est toujours ouvert. C'est sûr que nous ne retournerons jamais de la vie à ce restaurant.

En entrant au restaurant on se fait déjà dire que dans une heure et demi il faut partir puisqu’il y a un 2e service alors on se sent pressé.
Le saumon grillé était très grillé et trop cuit. Moi qui est fan de saumon, j’en ai laissé dans mon assiette.
Expérience ordinaire.

Chez madisons c'est toujours bon. Le serveur était très sympathique et efficace. Le seul point est qu'on m'avait dit qu'après 16h30, il n'y a plus de réservations. C'est premier arrivé, premier servi. Mais une fois à l'accueil, on me dit qu'il faut que tout le monde soit arrivé pour qu'on puisse nous assigner une table.même quand nous ne sommes que 2 et qu'il n'y a pas de foule. J'aurais pris un ou deux verres supplémentaires, mais au lieu de ça, j'ai attendu que l'autre personne arrive.

I ordered ribs. It could have been warmer. The service is ok. The restaurant was too noisy. They could have given me a better booth. The restaurant is too expensive for the amount of food that you get.

I attended this restaurant on game day and rack of lamb was the one off item on the menu. The waitress highly recommended the dish and so I opted for it.
Did not regret the choice. Presentation and flavour were excellent. Portion was just perfect (6 fair sized chops).
Ambience was a bit noisy but that is to be expected on game day.
Polite and courteous staff.

The food was ok, we had a table of 5 we all had different foods. The tastes was decent not what we expected. The pricres were cheaper than expected.

Tres bon mais les soir de match ou spectacles il pouce le monde un peux pas mal pour q on décolle rapidement du resto pas trop agréable quands on n est avec des clients ou fournisseurs pour souper.au prix que ca coute en plus, il a d'autre resto a aller dans le coin du centre bell plus agréable et amicale q on peux jaser plus longtemps.il veule trop servir de repas et pense pas au client. A pensé avant de rentrer de ce resto tes sur le timer!

Had a lovely steak dinner with my mum here. I had the filet mignon with grilled veggies and the garlic mash. Everything was delicious and the garlic mash was sooo goood.

The food was amazing, the drinks were great, the service was so-so.
The waitress abandoned the entire section partway through the night, she straight up disappeared. Another table went to the front to ask for a waitress, and the new waitress noticed that we had been abandoned and came to finish serving our meal.

When their is a event at the bell enter they have a special menu, with ONLY expensive items (in the interest of fast serving they say) the food came cold and they wait until all of the party arrived until they assigned you your reserved table! Never again

Went recently with work colleagues and ordered the chicken tenders with garlic mashed potatoes.

The garlic mashed potatoes didn't have much of a garlic flavour to them, I'd say the were more on the plain side. Probably could have done with a bit more seasoning as well.

The chicken tenders were very nice though, with just a thin, light, batter coating. They were quite juicy and tasty, and the honey-dijon sauce that comes with it was delicious.

Would definitely order again!
