Atmosphere is good, and service and definitely be improved. We had to wait so long for everything. I did the tasting menu. Food is arguably one of the worst in mtl. I give -1/10. Absolutely horrible.

For how much everyone has raved the service here, we found it to be very slow. It was also extremely disappointing to see a restaurant of this caliber to mess up our order i.e. Our meal being served to the table beside us, then hastily picked back from their table to be then served to us. Okkkkkk. Once we were done our meal, while waiting for the dessert, another server came to serve us bread and butter, and we had to mention to her that she was mistaken, we didnt need that, we were done our meals. The washrooms are outside of the restaurant. While trying to figure out the parking, the restaurant transferred us to Ritz hotel, just seemed lacking in proper service.

In terms of food, we liked the sashimi, it was one of the best fish we have had and the main was alright, we had the steak and quail. Dessert was the chocolate cake which was good.

Les plats étaient quand meme petits car je suis une gourmande mais cetait tellement délicieux! Le service était impeccable! Je recommande très fortement Maison Boulud! J’ai adoré mon expérience.

Try and enjoy Maison Boulud every time i visit Montreal. Excellent food, service, deserts and attitude of the staff.

But try not to campare this to his locations in NYC, Hong Kong or anywhere else in the world. You may be disappointed, it is excellent for Montréal

Overpriced and overhyped. Worst brunch experience I’ve had in a long time. We should have left the moment we realized how slow the service was and the experience just went downhill from there. The food was below average and cocktails were terrible, the espresso martini honestly tasted like rubbing alcohol. We also definitely got overcharged for our meal but we just wanted to leave after how long it took for the check so we didn’t bother debating it with the server. So disappointed, definitely won’t be going back.

Endroit convivial, la nourriture est bonne, MAIS faites ATTENTION quand vous commandez le tartare de saumon il y a un risque de trouver des arêtes dans votre assiette.

Dining at Maison Boulud was such a lovely experience. The service was great, the atmosphere was cozy and the food was so tasty. I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely come back. Thank you!

Overall enjoyed the experience for a fancy brunch, fantastic backyard, very relaxing and nice. Highly recommend the cocktail and the dessert. But to be honest the main course was not really fulfilling.

Un très bon restaurant haute gamme. Le service est impeccable et la nourriture est au dessus de toute compétition. Lors de ma visite, mon épouse et moi avons opté pour le "taster's menu". Un repas en 9 plats accompagné d'un vin approprié recommandé par le sommelier. Ce fut une expérience gastronomique inoubliable.

Rapport qualité prix un px moyen. Cependant, le service est excellent. Aucun rush ou stress de la part des serveurs dans les couloirs et aussi, très peu de bruit. De plus, le service était très chaleureux et jovial

Veloute was lacking flavour but had great texture. Mushroom pasta was cooked perfectly. You must like mushrooms as there are a lot, very woody taste. The real star is the sea bass. Would try somewhere else next time. Boulud in Toronto is 5/5.

Je commence par l’accueil qui a été suuuuuuperbement bien. J’ai été très bien accueillie (merci Sarah) et malgré l’heure à laquelle je suis arrivée pour souper (un peu tardive), l’équipe de la cuisine n’a pas hésitée à me faire mon plat qui fut tout aussi délicieux (merci à toute l’équipe de la cuisine, les serveurs Danny- Blaise) que mon cocktail et mon dessert. J’ai vraiment adoré. L’ambiance aussi était super chaleureuse. J’y retournerai sûrement.

Le restaurant priorise les clients riches au détriment des gens de la classe moyenne, les pauvres. On ne peut pas leur faire confiance. Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant.

I enjoyed coffee. Their high tea service seemed excellent. The staff were attentive.

I was attending a conference at the hotel, so I experience the bar and the restaurant. Both were exceptional. The wine selection was very good.

Maison Boulud, un endroit exceptionnel tant que pour les plats que pour le service.
Tout était délicieux, les entrées, la viande et ses accompagnements, et surtout le fondant au chocolat servi avec les madeleines tièdes.
Un endroit a ne pas manquer.

Impressive and amazing experience dining here. The atmosphere is perfect and the food menu is amazing 4.5! Prices are higher than expected of course. This is an experience after all.

Très surprise du peu d'attention particulièrement lorsque l'on est végétarien (ne) s. Ce restaurant est définitivement peu en phase avec son époque. Les pâtes mal cuisinées et pas assez cuites.un comble pour un tel établissement! Ritz Montreal (Maison Boulud) n'a rien d'impressionnant en terme de luxe et de service. Enfin pour terminer et "cerise sur le gâteau" de pauvres canards apeurés et stressés dans un minuscule bassin pathétique qui se demandent ce qu'ils fichent ici. Très déçue pour une fin de vacances et la célébration d'un événement particulier.

Came to celebrate my birthday in July. The back has lovely open seating facing the pond with some white ducks. Staff was very friendly. We ordered the 7-course tasting menu which was gorgeously prepared and presented. Each dish from the amuse bouche to dessert was outstanding. Some highlights were the Foie Gras, Black Truffle Taglierini pasta, tenderloin. Highly recommend and will be back when in Montreal.

I was looking for a fine dining experience in Montreal, Maison Boulud didn't disappoint and had it all, from the welcoming staff down to the dessert.

The place is nicely located, offers plenty of space for each table, has an indoor space, terrace and sort of a inner garden although at the time I went there it was all covered due to the cold evening.

Reservation wise, I had to call a week ahead for a dinner time weekend table of 4, the whole week was already fully booked.

Now for the tasting bits, there was no menu you just choose 'à la carte' from 5-6 starters, main courses where you may add sides to share.then dessert (there was also an option for Caviar). A choice of a regular course would set the price to around 100$ per person without wine which knowing the cost of quality food in the city and compared to other more 'normal' restaurants is very reasonable for what you get served!

I went with a Foie Gras terrine to begin with, simple you may say, but it was highly tasty and it just melted. It came with different forms of Mandarin for a nice sweet and colorful addition, and a chesnut sauce with a kick of Grand Marnier. To enjoy with the provided toast and/or bread selection.

Then for the main course I chose a Kamouraska Lamb (hear south of Québec lamb), again very tasty, well cooked, it came in different cuts with a eggplant two ways and a very light sauce. Remember that if it doesn't look enough for you, you can order sides, but it was enough for me.

Last but not the least, the dessert, and what a perfect closure! I chose one of my favorite dessert, a Chocolat coulant cake, it may look and sounds very simple, but I can honestly say it was most likely the best I ever had. The choclate was enhanced with flower of salt and a side caramelized milk, the balance was in my opinion perfect and it was an exciting ending note. I would come back just to order dessert! Not to undermine the rest of the meal.

I personnaly did not drink, all I could talk about would be its color, but a sommelier will help you with a very extensive wine selection!

The service was appreciated, not too slow, not too fast either, a little delay for the main course, but to be fair, the place filled up pretty much all at once. They make sure your glasses are always filled up, explain each dishes and nicely serves everyone at the same time.

Great experience, definitely got me interested to come again to see how they change their menu, and again, just for the dessert.

There's not a single bad thing I can say about my experience at Maison Boulud. The service, food, ambiance was just exquisite. I will definitely be back here again more often.

I was impressed with the wine by the glass offerings and the dinner was exemplary. I have dined at celebrity chef's establishments in the past and was sorely disappointed but here, it met and was above expectation. Staff are great and will easily transition from French to English and never admonish you, no matter how bad your high school french may be. I am trying to get a reservation again before I leave Montreal.

Very popular place. Good atmosphere. Waiters and waitresses were a little too quick to take your plate away.

Service (check). Ambiance? (questionable at best) - there’s NO excuse for playing breakfast go-go music during dinner. This is dinner time, not disco hour with Eurotrash electrica in a club.

Off the bat, the hostess was extremely rude her name is Claire. We were around 10 minutes late for our reservation and she kept saying we have to order in 2minutes or they won’t serve us

Additionally, the food was disappointing and not at all worth the price! We got the risotto and the halibut

My only positive comment about maison boulud is the waiter Sylvain and manager Hugo are very nice and have great customer service.

The food was very good and service was excellent’ ingredients are fresh and lightly seasoned which you can taste the combination from the food ingredients

Première expérience pour fêter un anniversaire.
Le restaurant est tres beau, l'entrée avec la vue sur les cuisine et les produits d'exception (truffe, champignons, huitre, caviar), nous mets tout de suite en appétit.
Nous avons manger sous la verrière a air ouverte avec les jardins intérieure en arrière plan.
La table ronde pour 6 était parfaite, ca permet de faire des bonnes discussions de groupe et ne pas etre sur des bords de table.
Notre serveur principal Julien etais tres professionnels et nous a bien expliqué les différents plats du menu. Bien nous les vendrent aussi.
Toute l'équipe de serveur était très pros aussi.
Nous avons pris le cocktail signature de la maison Boulud. Excellent et rafraîchissant. Ensuite Les assiettes étais magnifique, les goûts succulents et gourmands, les jus et sauces très goûteux aussi. Voir photo!
Le dessert, le fondant au chocolat noir et coeur caramel, magnifique!
La variété de pain et le beurre on eux aussi ravi toute la table.

Bref un très bon restaurant, Ça goûté les ingrédients de qualité.
La facture, très raisonnable pour ce genre de restaurant.
Nous allons y retourner pour une autre occasion et pour pouvoir goûter les autres plats.

Outstanding service, delicious food, and lovely atmosphere! We expected this place to be just as good as Cafe Boulud and it definitely held up to the expectation!

A vegetarian brunch option would have been appreciated, but I also could have asked.

They are very incompetent, they just care about QR code they refuse people who already has the second dose with proof but without code QR! How ridiculous is that?

Tried several dishes and it just didn't live up to our previous experiences in fine dining. (I have dined in other DB restos).
Had to constantly ask for water etc. Somewhat Inattentive service for fine dining.

The short ribs were on the tougher side and much fattier than expected, hence we didn't really enjoy this.

The lamb entree was ok - I felt the components of the dish didn't go together and it quite frankly felt amateurish (I.e. Couscous shaped over the mini eggplant). It was very basic and the lamb lacked seasoning.

The halibut dish was very tasty and elegant and I enjoyed it very much.

Beets and peach salad was good. We also had the foie Gras with cherries and amaretto Gelée which was very nice but the Gelée was a bit overwhelming. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it.
Grande Dame cocktail was delicious and the Cosmopolitan was delightful.

Places like this are worth another future visit but I feel that it missed the mark for us this time unfortunately.

I was really excited for this meal and honestly it was a huge disappointment and I wouldn't recommend it when there are such better restaurants in montreal for this kind of price. Firstly the service was bad, our waitress wouldn't speak to us in english for one thing which I thought was pretty crazy for such a nice place downtown. Second, the food was very mediocre. My appetizer and main were both very meh and not worth the price. Lastly, we are a family of many (severe) allergies and my sister's 55$ meal made her mouth very itchy which is usually the first sign of a reaction. She is quite sure there was cross contamination but the restaurant assured us there was none, she popped a few benadryl and did not touch her dish. I was shocked that they didn't remove it from the bill.in my experience a nice restaurant will always remove a problematic item like at Marcus I had a terrible main no allergy but didn't eat it and they didn't charge me. Tonight we were 6 people having cocktails apps and mains so it wasnt like it was a small bill. The two positive things I have to say are the garden is very pretty and the cocktails were delicious. But the food and service were both bad and not worth the 750$ bill and I'm definitely wishing I chose another restaurant for my special occasion. Never returning!

Allez y prendre un cocktail signature et prenez le Foie gras à l’Amaretto… un pur délice! La côte de boeuf à partager à deux était très bonne. Prévoyez 45 min pour la cuisson.

Le personnel est très courtois et professionnel.

Très bel accueil. Table près de l'étang fortement recommandée pour profiter de la terrasse. Nourriture délicieuse, service impeccable de la part des serveurs qui ont souligné notre anniversaire de mariage.

We have been here several times for the Sunday brunch and were totally satisfied with the food and service on each occasion. Last time, we treated two friends - one of whom is lactose intolerant. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating to his special needs and in all aspects of the service. Look forward to our next visit:) BTW - if pea soup is on the menu, I would highly recommend! It was SO fresh, creamy and delicious!
