I’ve never actually been to the restaurant itself but I’ve ordered their jerk chicken twice now on Uber eats and it’s SOO good! It’s like one of the best jerk chickens I’ve ever had. It’s tender and perfectly flavoured and tangy

So many red flags from the moment we climbed up the flight of stairs. Weird. This place didn't even look like a restaurant inside.
So first, we didn't smell any food cooking in the kitchen. Mmm?
Second, his attitude was horrible.
Third, I peeked in the kitchen and there was a box of frozen patties!
What in the? !? ! Once cooked they were soggy with no flavor. And the special sauce tasted like ketchup! Yuk! Awful!
The curry goat meat was tough! And the jerk chicken was just nasty! There was nothing authentic about the food at all! I hated this place so much! I'm hungry and disappointed. Not sure how he got good reviews!

This place needs to be ashamed to call themselves a Jamaican restaurant! Too many red flags. First my sister & I didn't smell any food cooking when we walked in. Second the customer service was very unprofessional. The guy had a bad attitude, like it was a problem we came in to order food. His attitude did slightly improve once we actually got our food. Third the food was disgusting! I've had real Jamaican food and this wasn't it. The jerk chicken did not have any seasoning, just out of the bottle spicy sauce. The curry goat was tough and flavorless. The patties were frozen patties (not homemade), so they were soggy & tasteless. The only thing decent was the plantains. We couldn't even eat the food. Total waste of money and time! We should have taken our money elsewhere with attitude alone, but we were trying to support a small black business. Very disappointing!

Its a bit pricier than some of my other fav Caribbean/Jamaican places, but its top quality and large servings.

What a ripoff literally three small shrimp in a roti that was filled with two pounds of stale tasting potatoes. For potatoes to taste stale it has to be at least a week old… the first time I ordered I got sick… the food is not fresh and the size of the roti is not roti traditional size… $$40. For a potato sandwich with stale potatoes is dishonest …
Trinidadians value fresh curry…. When other cultures adopt it and lower the standard for greed it ruins the cultural experience…. And takes the joy out of diversity in the city….

A new form of colonization….

The food was delicious! I think they used parboiled rice, and I'm not usually a fan but the taste was superb. The portion was huge like a real cook shop. This restaurant is the real deal where quality, authenticity, and experience are concerned. I was a bit surprised that the prices in the menu were not the same ones reflected on my receipt and there was an item called 'open food' on the receipt that I didn't expect to see. I promised myself that I would call back to query this, but I haven't gotten around to it.

The food is consistently incredible, never had a less than finger licking jerk chicken experience

Ordered to goat roti and a side of oxtail. Both were delicious, hot and super flavourful. I'll definitely be going back soon!

I had the shrimp roti, and it was excellent! It was juicy with a little spice! I used to order their salt fish cakes, but unfortunately, it is no longer on their menu. The next time I order, I will try their snapper!

Ordered through UberEATS and found what appears to be a small toothpick shaped item inside my chicken roti. And last time we ordered my wife found something similar like a toothpick in her shrimp roti and mentioned she nearly choked on it. It has a scent as if it's used for cooking but why is it inside your rotis? Possible to speak to the owner?

The second time ordering at mango bay and both time top notch Jamaican food, the king fish dinner was proper.

Fantastic, tender jerk chicken and oxtail. Well seasoned. Definitely a must go gem, hole in the wall type deal. Take out only.

This has got to be the absolute best Jamaican resturant in Montreal! The food is amazing! While in Montreal, we went there twice and carried our left overs to Toronto Our left overs survived our 5hours road trip

We told the owner he needs to open a location here in Toronto because the people of Montreal can’t enjoy all this goodness alone!

Goshhhh the goat curry is Ah-May-Zing. This is for sure a must visit place located in the heart of downtown Montreal! Thanks for feeding us! Can’t wait to visit again

After ordering takeout here several times I have this to say: If I had to pick only one cuisine to eat for the rest of my life, it would be this one. The oxtail, the sorrel, and the rotis are to die for.

The food is not as good as before… Let me share my last experience: I ordered chicken Pattie’s and chicken stew yesterday night (October 3rd).

The pies were very pale, almost transparent in some places, just barely cooked. They used to make big, yellow, crispy pies with more filling. And as far as the taste is concerned, it's really not to die for.
As for the dish, it's 90% rice with just a few pieces of chicken. The vegetables are almost non-existent, you have to look for them under the rice. All this with 3 pieces of chicken, just to say that it is a chicken dish.
I am extremely disappointed, I don't know if they changed the cook but it is not as good as before. I was a loyal customer, I ordered regularly from them last year. I wanted to try it again this year because I'm in town, and it was a very bad experience. Save your money and go elsewhere.
