I'm editing this review because recently, they are terrible. They put tumeric in chicken kebab to give yellow color, it should be saffron. This is cheating.

It's not a bad grocery store, lots of varieties. Prices are fair! However, their opening hours aren't fair at all.

I found molasses syrup there which I needed to make my fattoush salad dressing. I couldn't have been happier! Also their homemade hummus is very fresh and tasty.

RUDE, rude butcher at the Pierrefonds location- February 2023; doesn’t seem to want to do anything:
1- said we had too many expectations when we asked if it was possible to trim the fat. We didn’t demand - we asked: a simple “no we don’t so that” would suffice.
2- Said he would only cut 3 pieces because he didn’t want to cut himself.
(1) How did you get a job as a butcher if you don’t know how to cut things?
(2) Again, “no, we are only allowed to cut things this way” is how you respond.
(3) Then told my old mother the “price is on the meat” when she asked how much it was - she can’t see well; it doesn’t hurt for you to help does it).
I will be complaining to management but I want to ensure this is seen everywhere. Don’t work in customer service Mr Butcher. You have an attitude problem.
Otherwise the place is good. Sorry to give you low stars. I want to make sure you see this and will remove it when you respond.

Delicious koobideh at a very good price. I order it every time i go there but unfortunately i cannot go there a lot because they close at 4. They should open from 9 to 5pm instead of 8 to 4pm

Not friendly with working people, closes at 4. In this part of the world people usually go to work, i just want to tell them, maybe they do not know. As if it is not enough some dentists do this to us, now even grocery stores are just for people who do not work? 5 minutes away from my home and I never get the chance. There is also a romanian store there, always open until 8 pm. THose are friendly people and working people, open for Everyone. Probably Akhavan does Not want All kinds of people inside their store and especialy not the working ones. I asked one time why they close so early and they answered they take care of their people not to work too much because they value their free time:) as in the store are always just a few persons or almost nobody, I wonder how they survive…
