I have been to this store several times. Customer service is not good at all. Makes me very uncomfortable. I just finally decided to post a review. I always feel unwelcome.
We've been coming here for a few years now for our groceries and it's been great. We're mostly here for getting dry snacks and vegetables. The staff is really good. Once we forgot one of our stuff after billing and it was bloody freezing outside but the person at the counter still came out running as we were pulling out the car. The place is quite congested but that's the case with most of the Indian grocery stores. There's is parking just outside which is mostly available. I just hope sometime in the future they go supermarket format and increase their range of products.
Very nice and well organized place! It’s like a small warehouse, you have to ask where stuff is placed. Almost everything I ever looked for in an Indian store I found here.
You can buy almost every grocery from here and sweets too. I tried motichoor laddo it was yummy.its worth paying bcoz i always choose quality over price.
Prices are between average and good in general. Lot of indian ingredients and desserts are available. Hygiene wise, I didn't notice any infraction, yet and since the store is too small to host all these products, management decided to make aisles width too small in order to fit them all. I didn't measure the width physically, but it looks to be no more than 3 feet. So for panic situations, like fire or customers fight then there will be a security issue (to my best knowledge) for a fast evacuation in such scenarios. Covid-19 wise, it's almost impossible to keep 2 meters distance of course.
I generally liked the selection, but I can't stand stores that go cheap on 50 cents. Wanted to buy something on debit/credit but they insist that the minimum is 5.00 and I had 4.50. I told him it's just a difference of 50 cents. He tried to upsell me with Samosas. I hope they know there is an amazing new Indian store 1 minute walking distance from them that does NOT have a minim purchase for debit/credit.
Worst experience ever. Never buy anything from this store, especially NANAK Brand. I had few food items from that brand and as soon as I opened the box, I could smell the bitterness and it was actually expired. I wish I could rate 0.5 star or less than. Stores freezers are not working properly. And moreover, I did not observe any social distancing. I could not even expect this behaviour from Indian grocery store. Please guys be sure to look for every single items and do check their expiry date. Very very disappointing.
Very bad pricing There are no price tags or price notice on many items I was charged $7 for a $4 product Please be very alert in prices I had to explain them the price and get the balance
Prices may be high but you can pretty much get any Indian stuff from here. Staff is ok. Store is a little bit congested. There's a lil problem, you may have to double check expiry date of the products because there are some items which are expired and still on shelves
This is the best Indian grocery store on the island of Montreal. The most cleanest and most organized Indian grocery store.the owners and the staff are extremely polite, trustworthy, and will do everything to please you.they keep a very wide variety of Punjabi, Gujerati, South Indian, Bengali Sri Lankan and Pakistani foods.there is enough room to move around inside the store and they follow all safety protocols for covid 19.social distancing, wearing masks.
In terms of cleanliness and organization Chauhan brothers can be compared to the Canadian grocery stores The quality of the fresh perishable products are very good and very well displayed.extremely clean.this is a must visit for East Indians looking for clean quality products. I am so happy that this store is in LaSalle.
Beware while shopping at this place especially students coz they used to charge double for the same commodity and behave really rudely when questioned.you can earn money by doing this but not for long. Shame on you guys. You spoiled my day.
I went to this store once a week. Whole staff is so nice nd caring the ower is so helpful. The cashier was so helpful and nice. The prices are also low in comparison with other grocery stores.
Had been there to buy Diwali special sweets. Good place. Got very freshly made Indian sweet delicacies. One can also find Indian vegetables like carrot (pink/Red), green beans (cholli), Indian ginger, bottle gourd, Fenugreek leaves etc. Sugar granules also available here.and unlike other Indian grocery store, this stores accepts credit card payment, above $5 bill.
Super best over all other Indian grocery store, super fresh stuff, best price, friendly staff as well would recommend to visit here all instead of wasting time on other Indian store nearby, no one can compete them in any way
Firstly super cramped and feels really unclean. No pricing stickers on any products, you don't know the price of something until you go to the cash register where they name their own prices on items. Not to mention, card machine only works on Visa and MasterCard, though the fake sticker says Discover as well lol Will go back again to add pictures onto this post.
What a great place for each and every thing. Thank God we have such a nice place to buy indian grocery.you can always get fresh fruits and vegetables as well as lots of grocery. Other than that, the staff is also very friendly and helpful.they helps everyone a lot to find them grocery stuff. What I liked most about this store are the products that cannot be found at other stores. I strongly and highly recommend this store.
One of the worst indian store in montreal.their most of the products are expired.price of almost all the items are overrated.the most expensive store in montreal. I never recommend anyone to go this store.
We recently moved to montreal we used to go to this place for our grocery but lately we discovered that these guys do not check their products and have expired products in the shop for sale. Plz be careful and check ur product expiry date bfre purchase from here also check ur bill.worst experience as the owner was not sorry for keeping products expired in 2019 april and selling it in 2020.very rude people.they only care about making money.not peoples health
Indian n West Indian Grocers including Fresh fruits n Vegetables too. [In and Out store] PS: My Dad n Mum shopped all the time since it opened.
