Marché Kim Phat

Terrible service, I chose a bread and when I paid at the cashier I couldn't buy the bread because it didn't have a barcode and no price, the cashier didn't want to send for the price and didn't want to sell it to me. Furthermore, it closes at 7 pm but from 6 pm they start storing the fruit and vegetables, and if they have already stored what you are going to buy, then you have not bought it anymore because they have stored it since 6 pm. The hallways are full of water and there are no people to clean the water, much less anything to absorb that water.

Chinese specialty market with a lot of selection and good prices. There are also some Latin American and Filipino products. There are North American products, but it’s a little expensive compared to Metro, Maxi, Provigo, or Super C. Their specialty items are priced well though. Apart from the cashiers, I’ve never had a good experience with the butchers/fish counter and sweet/meal section. I asked the butcher if he could cut a portion of meat smaller and he denied, but did it for someone else who seemed to be of the same ethnicity. For the bahn mi counter, we came at opening hours and asked when they would be ready and she said 20 minutes. We did the round and came back, only for her to say it would be ready at 12pm…, so I don’t even bother speaking to anyone but the cashier if needed. There is always water on the floor around the fish section which makes it a walking hazard. The small parking lots are hectic no matter what time of day you go, so I suggest parking a little further if you don’t mind making the trip with bags in your hands, since you can’t take the carriages outside.

J'adore Kim Phat mais j'y vais peu souvent à cause de l'étroitesse du stationnement. Sinon, pour tout produot asiatique, c'est LA place.

Très grand choix de produits asiatiques.
Prix intéressants pour les fruits et légumes.

Very big grocery. You can find almost everything (Asian) aliments at this store. Now there are alot Haitian, Arabs, Canadians and Asians (of course) who go there for foods.

Bon endroit. Bon produits asiatiques. Un peu compliqué pour se déplacer à cause du nombres de gens mais sinon rien à dire.

Great asian grocery store, big variety of products. The parking lot is big, but you can't bring the shopping cart close to your car to unload because of barriers.

You may find most of the needed items and they cover items for all most all the communities.

What I don’t like is seedless fruits and some bad service workers (not all)

On trouve tout ce qu'on veut ici mais je trouve que les prox sont un peu plus cher par rapport aux autres marché
Pour le poisson j'ai demandé à un employé et il m'avait sit que c'est du decongelé mais ce n'est pas mentionné ni dans les étiquettes ni par le personnel et je trouve que c'est grave

Great place to find variety of Asian, Thai, Japanese. Chinese groceries, spices, tropical fruits (some like Rambutan, Lychee at a good price) and teas. Fruits seemed fresh.

They sell fresh made noodles (not frozen) great to make your own recipie at home - Ramen, pad Thai, and different varieties of noodles.

I particularly like Spicy shrimp paste, great taste goes with pretty much any kinds of shellfish stir fry.

They sell variety sized rice paper, great if you are into making vietnamese pizzas at home small to big.

The store is also quite big, it will be a good Asian food shopping tour for sure.

Really nice staff. A man named So even helped get me paper towels while he was on his break. Lots of cool stuff to try at this store.

I mostly go for the fresh fish and seafood.
-1 star because there are only 3 guys helping in seafood and especially during the weekend, it's a long line and sometimes they have other chores and/or ignore the customers.

Every one pay attention to buy tofu, i've just shoped in Kim Phat today 18 April 2021and bought a tofu then at home i founded it's rotten.
Hôm nay tôi đi chợ Kim Phat (Jarry), có mua phải hộp đậu phụ bị thiu thối (hư hỏng). Vì vậy bà con đi chợ khi mua đồ nên kiểm tra lại cẩn thận trước khi mua. Hộp đậu phụ trị giá 2$, chẳng ai muốn mang lại chợ để đổi vì tiền xăng chạy đến chợ còn mắc gấp đôi trị giá hộp đậu phụ.

On trouve de tout, malheureusement jy ai acheté des perles de tapioca qui n'étaient pas arrivé à péremption et pourtant je les ai utilisées a la maison et elle se sont cassées et ont formé de la mousse blanche je ne recommande pas la marque Kuo Hua

Bonne expérience, les employés parlent français comparativement aux supermarchés dans le quartier chinois et les commis nous aident aussi c'est un plus

If you're from Vancouver or Toronto and miss T&T like myself you'll be very happy when you walk through the doors here. Amazing selection of fruits and vegetables, wide selection of live fresh and frozen fish, decent selection of meats, and all the basics of sauces, grains, and spices. The only disappointing part of this store is the baked goods section, mediocre selection of not very appealing breads. Staff are nice here and helpful.

Il y a de tout pour tous les goûts. Bon service rapide au comptoir viande et poissons. Grand choix fruits et légumes. Prix raisonnable.

This once glorious Asian market has slowly deteriorated over the last 3 years. Check the expiry dates. Opened and spilled items on shelves. Produce is still excellent, but everything else is so so and the selection is diminished more and more. Perhaps they'll get it together again.

This place is so terrible. Reasons are:
1) The staff are so rude, none of them spoke either French or English.
2) They don’t have wheelchair and stroller accessible entrance.
3) The store is so dirty especially meat and food section. Boucher served the meat with hands (they never wear gloves).
4) Never buy the cooked food here, they always touch the food without gloves while serving.

I will never shop again here and don’t recommend someone. I should give “0” rating.

Un magasin chinois qui vend les fruits les légumes, viande, poisson frais et congeler. Même la vaisselle. Ça vos la peine d'aller visité.

WORST nightmare ever. That was 6 years ago I beleive. I went to the restaurant that is attached to this store KIM PHAT just beside it. But, you need to go inside the KIMPHAT in order to access the restaurant (which is not part of the store mainly but shares the same entrance). Now this happen next.as I finished paying for my food at the restaurant, I leave by exiting the KIM PHAT entrance because that's the only way out.right? Well guess what, a white man appears at the entrance and push me backward and tell me to show what's in my bag (my gym bag). I think he was a security guy working for Kim Phat. I told him. "What? What for? " He told me " I need to see what's in your bag now please" I respond again. " What for? I came out from the restaurant just beside? What's the problem? " (Let me say I've been to that restaurant for more then 10 years) The secutiry said " you can't leave unless you show me what's in your bag". I respond to him, " What is your problem? I just told you I came out from eating at restaurant just beside I didint steal anything! Call your the manager if you want me to open my bag". So he calls the manager And I talk to him. He comes around and greets me nicely and ask me what was wrong. I explain to him that I came out from the restaurant inside your store and that the security man stopped me assuming I stole something from your store. So the owner told me that it was his job and all I have to do is to open my bag. I respond to the manager "No I don't have to if I know I didint steal anything". The manager told me that I have to open my bag. I told him " IF I open my bag and you find nothihng, I will sue you. Deal? " He said OK. So I opened my bag.and yep. Nothing. Just my dirty gym clothes. They both left me and smiled. I just want to say that this is the first time in my entire life that I have never been accused of stealing something "without" any evidence. I sent an email to the Montreal Inspectors Agency Recruitement " to let them know that I will sue their company for what their employee did to me without evidence. You "can't" stop someone someone nor search their bag without "CLEAN EVIDENCE" like camera, or seen with your own eyes. At the end, I've let them go. I told the restaurant owner (who was my friend) that I will never come back here again because of this. You've lost a good customer and a good friend. She was sad.and told me I could use the "back door next time" Oh wow.now you tell me you had a back door? Nope. Won't do. You're restaurant is affiliated to an "un-educated" immigrant business owner who treated me as a "thief" in front of 20 people.and no apologies was given after searching my bag.therefore, I will not come back here "ever" for this free-humiliation situation. Good bye and hope he doesn't treat all of your customer the same way once they go out by their store entrance. I never came back there and it's been 6-7 years I think. This KIM PHAT looks clean form the outside but trust me, it is owned by an un-educated business asian man who honestly doesn't care about you and they feel the need to search your bag (without any evidence) they will do it in front of everyone. (oh, according to the law, they are supposed to bring you in a private place to search you + show the evidence of what was stolen) I find it sad that people who comes to Quebec don't go to school to learn the basics of customer service and Law. Very sad.

Found fruits I couldn’t find anywhere else in Montreal. Prices are great. They have nice selection of fish and they look very fresh.
