I love Marché Newon's incredible selection of fruits and vegetables. Plus they've got every kind of tofu, noodle, seaweed and spice you can imagine, as well as an impressive kitchen section and all the frozen dumplings. I'm rating them poorly, however, for two important reasons: One, the meat, which looks like it has been injected with dye/water to change its appearance. Two, the rice cooker they sold me that flat out did not work. I brought it back with the receipt and all of its parts, and was refused a refund. No matter that I am a regular customer who was sold a faulty product; I was told that "If you had wanted the one that had worked, you should have bought the more expensive one. " Ummmm! Wow.

Fresh veggies and fruits. Meats are good quality. Only place to buy real Japanese rice. Huge variety of products.

Je suis profondément désolé et déçu à la fois, j'aime dire les choses d'une façon juste, transparente possible selon le ressentiment le plus vrai. Oui c'est un grand Marché qui est au prime abord totalement très mal placé, ce n'est pas du tout le genre de Marché qui me fascine vraiment que j'aurais le goût de faire mes emplettes, juste la senteur que ça dégage cela m'éloigne beaucoup, je n'ai jamais aimé quand je me présente à un endroit que ça dégage des senteurs désagréables, insupportables qui coupent la respiration. Ce que je remarque cet Marché alimentaire est beaucoup plus cher que les autres Marchés alimentaire traditionnels, je ne connais pas la vraie raison de cette différence. Ce qui me donne plus mal au coeur avec ses gens c'est le grand manque de contact social, humain sans chaleur d'accueil, la froideur totale, sans regard et sans aucun sourire pour qu'on puisse sentir vraiment être dans un milieu humain et être content d'être là, c'est désagréable et non accueillant ces genres de milieux et d'atmosphères dans une société comme celle que nous y sommes.

All is in Chinese and it's bad for the persons doesn't understand Chinese, like 60% of the Montreal citizen

Wouldn’t let me buy a small about of grapes. I had to buy the whole bag but I only wanted a handful. Rude and lousy service which is unusual for a grocery store the prices were high so I don’t get it. I can’t imagine why people would shop here unless it’s the only thing around the area. They do have a lot of unique international products so that much be the reason. Only one I can think of.

The variety in this market is great quality of fruits and vegetables very good cleanliness leaves a little to be desired

So far so good, clean and organize, but some items were expired! Just double check it before you buy!

BEWARE: The grocery store will not let you in at 6: 40PM when it’s said that they close at 7PM. Wasted time and money for parking.

Amazing selection of products at great prices. Store layout is spacious enough where you can get in and out of the aisles without feeling claustrophobic. Clean and well maintained.

Marche Newon is the best Asian supermarket in Montreal, they carry Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian and various other Canadian grocery items and inexpensive good quality housewares. Their vegetables and meat are fresh, the price is very reasonable given the location and facility. I love that the price is milk/yogurt/cheese/other diary products can be found cheaper than any other place (even with sale). It's not too crowded, more spacious to shop at, has almost everything and many Asian branded snacks, in general there are no long lineups at checkout, except during peak hours. Most cashiers are friendly and quick.

Good selection and convenient hours & location. Like in most asian grocerie, check the expiration date before you buy!

Variety of Asian products. Price is going up a lots compared to the last time I went there (about a month ago).

Pour les amoureux des produits asiatiques, tout y est. Le choix est vastes, le rayon des fruits et legumes complet. Extrêmement propre. Meilleure (et plus vaste) épicerie du genre à Montréal.

I went to the store today at 11, the cashier at no 6. Gave us the best customer service ever, she greeted us with respect! And answered are all question s in french.really appreciated for such a friendly staff. The coolest shopping centre Will definitely visit again!

Vraiment une epicerie décevante sans aucun professionnalisme, je prend le temps d’appeler avant de me déplacer pour rien, je demande si ce produit e se disponible la madame elle me dit oui votre produit est disponible vous pouvez passer, je décide de faire16km aller 16km retour donc environ 32km, lorsque j’arrive le produit n’est pas disponible en magasin, j’ai pris la peine d’appeler 30minutes avant de passer pour vérifier la disponibilité de ce produit et lorsque j’arrive elle me dit on vend pas ça ici, VOUS DEVREZ ENGAGER DES PERSONNES PLUS COMPÉTENTES QUE ÇA PLUS JAMAIS JE REMET LES PIEDS LABAS

The security guard at Marche Newon absolutely disrespectful and rude. At time like this we can all at least pretend to be little civilized and polite to each other even if we may not be polite and civilized at heart.

I spoke with customer service at Marche Newon and they said the guard is provided by building management and they have nothing to do with him. Which also very unprofessional because the guard is sitting in their store abusing their customers. Not going there again EVER

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I bought meat from this place, on the packaging it is labeled as beef but it was pork. Very disappointed, would not recommend this place. You can go to this place, if you wish to buy false products.

The worst service i’ve ever had in Montreal. The cashier did greet me or even looked at me from the beginning to the end. She just kept chatting with another cashier. After I payed, she didn’t give me the invoice. I was standing there for a while waiting for the invoice and finally realized she just threw the invoice on the counter and quickly turned backwards me without telling me anything.

Large variety of products: exotic fruits and vegetables, Asian food, Chinese specialties, utensils used to prepare asiatic meals. You can find aged ginseng and other natural remedies. Some small electronics too. Prices are a little higher than average. Clients are mainly students.
