Their rice isn't cooked perfectly, hence, hard to digest.

It's like they always serve left over rices.

Très bon et portions énormes. Un peu de mal à fournir quand il y a beaucoup de monde mais l'attente vaut la peine. La salle aurait besoin d'une petite rénovation et les places ne sont pas nombreuses. Convient surtout pour du 'à emporter'.

It was my first time going in here with my little man because we were both hungry. The owner seemed to be having a bad day or maybe just threw customer service away on that day. He was rude- made statements like, “ Sometimes Ihate my life, I hate my job and I hate my customers” My son was shocked. I told him we should go, he said “Mum he has already started making your sandwich, it would not seem fair to leave- but I wonder what his problem is”. We were really hungry. I asked him regardless of his obnoxious attitude if he was having a bad day and he replied that he was. In customer service- can you have a bad day and be at the front serving with utterances like his? I would rather drive to the shawarma place in les galeries de Hull where you have clients service oriented people. I should have recorded his not too professional attitude.

I love marroush more than my dad does! Everytime it’s fresh and it’s so good. Big portions, lots of flavour, AND THE SAUCE.

In my opinion the best chicken shawarma in the region.

Garlic sauce is creamy, vedgies are fresh and crunchy. Staff is always SUPER nice.

I make the drive from Gatineau and never regret it.

Le riz pas cuit, le poulet sec et des patates beaucoup trop épicés avec la sauce à l’ail … c’était horrible!

Man, this has got to be the best Shawarma in town. The Guy is CRAZY though. In a good way. You gotta try out his spicy garlic sauce, to die for! I make the 45 min drive just to come here for lunch. And the sandwich is big, you get a lot for your money. Seasoned onions are delicious.

Ok, go and try it out for yourself, you will be glad you did!

Delicious and fresh tasting food! I had the pleasure of eating the platters from Marroush Shawarma during a work event and it does not disappoint! While located in Gatineau, they serve the NCR and I highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat here or ordering their food for an event. Quality service and I plan to regularly go here to fill my shawarma needs.

Déçu. 2 machines tournantes, mais ont m'a servi du vieux poulet (plus petite broche) qui était clairement sec faisant semblant de me "gâter" avec plus de poulet! Après 1 bouché, sandwich à la poubelle! Plus jamais!

Best Lebanese Sandwich Artist in the region if not in Canada Always fresh and all home made. The garlic sauce will keep you coming back. Trust me, I’ve been a Marouche weekly customer for almost 20 years.

I lived in Gatineau 10 years ago and discovered Maroush Shawarma. I was finally able to return. I love this place! I haven't found anywhere else that compares. The portion sizes are enormous (the bazooka is a monster), and the food is delicious. Also of note, they don't hold back on the sauce. If you like dry shawarma wraps, make sure to ask for less sauce. For myself, the amount of sauce is perfect! Their garlic sauce is delicious. If you ever find yourself in the Ottawa area, Maroush Shawarma is worth the trip!

Their platter is also amazing! I always ask for their spicy sauce on the side as it's TASTY SPICY and not the burning hot spicy.

The owner is friendly and humble. Speaks Arabic, English, and French. So no awkward conversation will take place.

C'était très bon! La taboulé goûtait très bonne. La quantité de nourriture est très généreuse. Le tout m'a coûté seulement 21 $ avec les taxes. C'est vraiment pas cher comparé à ailleurs! J'ai trouvé par contre que le riz manquait un peu de cuisson et que le poulet était par bout un peu sec mais appart de cela, ont en a vraiment pour son argent! Je recommande certainement. De plus, le personnel est très très très gentil.

I've been going here for years, it has changed so much, Last time the chicken was like rubber the garlic sauce seemed diluted & little bones in the chicken, Anyways found a new place closer & cheaper and Fresh all the time, Good service too

I have been going to Marroush since the old Elgin Street days, and they are quite simply the best in the National Capital Area. You cannot go wrong with any choice from the menu. My bazooka days are long gone, but every time I go I am legitimately excited because I know how good it's going to be.

Oh lala. Vraiment déçu par le tout. Le service était vraiment pas super, on nous a servi seulement en anglais. De plus, il a mis les patates (qui semble avoir été préparé le jour d'avant) et le riz dans le micro-ondes devant nos yeux (ça semble pas trop super, surtout dans du styromousse). En plus, le poulet était à moitié cuit et PUAIT les oeufs. C'est super désagréable prendre une bouché et sentir ça à plein nez. Le boeuf semblais tout de même à moitié cuit. Autre que le riz et patates, le reste était froid. Et la sauce (qui n'est pas du vrai toum). Et bien pas grand chose de dire de bon la dessus aussi.
J'y retournerais pas et déconseille tout personne qui a déjà manger du bon shawarma.

Maroush is the ONLY Shawarma shop I trust in all of Gatineau. So sad to hear they are considering closing the doors. Maroush has the best most flavorful chicken and the ingredients always taste fresh. These other shawarma shops always taste like they're reusing rice from the day before and will literally microwave your potatoes in Styrofoam containers. If you've never had Maroush you should. I once took a taxi just so I could go get maroush and go back home to eat it.

The bazooka sharwarma is really big and I liked it. If you are a germophobe, this place isn't for you. Owner can be blunt during conversations and I honestly don't mind it at all. Some may perceive this attribute as "poor customer care ".

Best shawarma ever! The beef is really tasty! The spicy sauce is hot and great! The host is so nice and funny! I drive 30 min just for this!

The guy didn’t even have gloves on, he grabbed rice from underneath the counter which is kind of weird and he put the whole platter in the microwave for a minute!? Since when do you have to wait for your food to warm up in the microwave, the chicken rice and potatoes were all dry, the chicken shawarma plate was 17,50$ unbelievable.maybe this place used to be better as I see lots of great reviews but I’m telling you right now It’s not good, there’s so many other better places, save your money folks

Used to love this place and went regularly for years. Stopped going after I saw the owner scream at a black customer and call him the n-word.

I wanted to rate higher because of the friendly service and decent food, but the last visit changed me. Cleanliness and safety should be on everyone’s mind these days so why wear gloves only to take a towel, wipe the counter with it, then your face, and then your gloved hands before you make my shawarma? I don’t thing I can stomach going back.

Dangereuse manque d’hygiène. Pendant la crise du covid 19 je suis allé chercher un shawarma et le propriétaire avait un masque et des gants ; il faisait tout avec le même équipement, recevait l’argent et Interac sans aucun souci et le pire encore avec un torchon qui était derrière le comptoir il nettoyait le dessus comptoir et avec ça il jetait les restes qui avait tombée du shawarma de nouveau dans les couvets pour servir les prochains clients.
Je l’ai vu faire de nouveau la même chose quand j’accompagne une amie qui allai acheter une boite hermétique de gâteaux.
Aussi les portes des toilettes ouvrent directement sue la salle à manger. Quelle belle vue

Fadi has been the true king of shawarma since its dawn of popularity in the National Capital Region. A true original and at one point sporting several outlets in the area. After scaling back his operations to the current location while it may not be much to look at more than makes up for it with authentic Lebanese food fair. 100% recommend if you need REAL shawarma.

Great as always. The owner is animated, dynamic and a joy. Food is always reliable. Even with the pandemic, people were civil, and respectful of distancing. Decent line of people and.moved relatively quickly.
