Great Korean restaurant, food taste very good. I love the fried chicken here. And the staff are super nice, offered us free pop drink. Love it and will. Definitely come back again.

I’ve been charged twice. My husband wrote to the restaurant and no respond. The food is good but not the service. If you go there, i suggest to pay cash not by credit card and don’t do online orders.

I was sent here haphazardly from a friend wanting me to try Korean Fried Chicken.

So glad we found this place.
Miso soup with a homey delicious flavour.
Dumplings (both veg and çhicken) were fried but not oily and the pastry is quite thin. Filling was good as well.
The rolled rice cakes (not sure how else to describe this) were really a surprise in terms of its texture. It was really nice.
The spicy pork dish with all the toppings and mixes was quite good as well. We finished with this since it was the spiciest.

The fried chicken was AMAZING. Really delicious, moist chicken, crunchy exterior, and delicious sauces. Great service and was happy to see a almost family vibe in the back.

It’s been a while since I ordered chicken last time and it’s quite disappointing.
I ordered chicken combo but I could barely see and taste the sauce. And chicken was all small pieces with less meat but thick greasy batter. Even all the side dish portion was quite stingy and poor!
However their service was great!

Delicious Korean food with generous portions and fresh ingredients. Fried chicken and bibimbap are highly recommended. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Cozy atmosphere. A great place to satisfy cravings for home-cooked meals.

Casual, order at counter. Find your seat. Big portions for the set menu I had. When they say spicy they mean it! Been there twice and will be back when I need a big, filling lunch.

I was driving along looking for a light lunchtime snack and I came upon this little Korean BBQ joint. I thought ‘why not? ” And I’m glad I did. It’s family owned so my expectations was quite high because we all know that most family owned restaurants put pride in their food.
I ordered the bibimbap and it was quite good. Flavourful. The service is quick and courteous. The decor is nice, dining section is small, seating around 30. Well priced meals. Large mall parking lot. Definitely will not disappoint for anyone with a craving for Korean food.

Ordered the mandu was ok I’ve had better. Fried chicken was good ordered the sweet spicy wasn’t very spicy. Service was fairly quick. In strip mall so don’t expect anything fancy but clean place.

The best soy garlic chicken ever and it’s even better sooooo yummmyi will never get tired eating this soy garlic? I can even eat the whole chicken i think?

Was craving Korean fried chicken and this please did not disappoint. I ordered a the regular and honey soy friend chicken and they were perfectly crispy and tasty.

A lot of options, chicken was excellent, fast and friendly service, not a lot of tables and feels more like a fast food restaurant, but much better food quality. Plenty of parking in the area, will be back.

Service was super personal, this is obviously a family run business with lots of pride and it shows. Food was awesome too! (I'd love to comment on the authenticity but I haven't been to Korea, but it does look borderline home cooked).

Very simple Korean fried chicken, great portion, little pricey for fast food, but very filling and tasty enough. Not something I would crave but I liked it. Try the shrimp tempura too, if you can.

Very typical Korean food. I've been Korea several times and I like Korean food. I have to say Matjip offers best Korean food on West Island. Worth to try.

I’ve tried 3 dishes as it is shown in the photo. Chicken was excellent as it was.
However, beef and spicy Rice cake was quite below my expectations (especially compared to before)
Beef was overcooked so condiment were so condensed and meat texture was quite dry (as you see on the photo)
Rice cake taste was quite bland.
I went there with 3people including myself and all had same opinions.
I still love their foods and would like to see some improvement as a patron!:)

Great chicken, but try the veggie pancake - it's wonderful, so great that I won't share after the first try!

I ordered from Doordash.com and made a comment "Please don't put fish cakes in my dish thank you". I guess they don't know how to read. Hopefully they can read this comment. Very disappointing!

Delicious! Totally consistent flavour each time! Portions are perfect and packaged really well for take out! That fried chicken is next level! Highly recommend. Well done Matjip I’ll be back soon

Chicken was great as Its fame and reputation! I also tried beef and pork and both were great to die! Especially I loved noodle that comes with beef and pork special!

I've always loved Matjip so much. They have my favorite korean fried chicken, so I always go there for their Sweet and spicy whole chicken!
Me and the wife usually cannot finish a whole chicken (and I eat a lot).

However, the last time we went last week, even though the quality was still there, delicious as usual, we were a bit disappointed by the quantity of the chicken. It wasn't as much as before even if we ordered a whole chicken, the pieces had less meat in general, I think I only got 2 pieces that were breast, there used to be more than that before. We finished it super easily and were left still hungry after. Maybe it was that chicken in particular which was smaller, who knows?

In short, quality is amazing for the chicken, but quantity seems to be reduced for the fried chicken recently.

I normally dont leave reviews. But this place deserves one. The price is right. The quality of the food is AMAZING.

People please try "marinated porks" from here.

They closed the restaurant because of covid but still selling some of their menus for take-away. They give it to you in a raw condition, just marinated. You just have to heat it at your home. Their marinated pork is sooooo gooood. I dont want them to disappear because of covid, im so strongly recommending!

I go to this place quite often! This is the best place to have a bite. I visit this place at least once a month. The meals are of high quality, the team is welcoming and the charge is affordable. I enjoy eating in this place over a decent supper.

There's honestly something special how Korean cooks prep their fried chicken! It's an art. Matjip has 3 varieties: standard, sweet & spicy, garlic & soy. The garlic & soy is amazing! Prices are decent and worth trying at least once! They do have a whole menu, I've tried a few of them, all good but wanted this review to focus on that sexy fried chicken. SO GOOD.

Nourriture excellente, j'ai adoré les ramyeons! J'ai pas mis 5 étoiles parce que les accompagnements sont en trop petite quantité (surtout le kimchi) et aussi que il n'y a pas un grand choix de repas. Sinon le repas était bon.

I know my fried chicken and i can tell
you this is the best in the city. The soya and garlic is absolutely insane.the original is soo good and the batter is made fresh on site everyday.the sweet and spicy is also excellent.

My indian roomate is addicted and orders here at least once a week.the batter is not too heavy so
you get a sore stomach.you can eat a whole chicken and feel good after.

Everything on the menu is good.the bibimpap obviously, a house special.

Decent fried chicken, although imo not great value for the size: $25 for 10 small (read: normal-sized, not giant KFC monstruosities) chicken pieces. I also like the seafood soup, but the bulgogi lunch set is average.

The food was good. The place is small, you can make a reservation. The place e was clean and so was the washrooms. They offer free wifi. The restaurant is located in s trip mall that have plenty of parking. Service was good.

Portion size were so remarkably small that I was compelled to Write a review.almost no meat and when it Comes to the soup The small foam cup was not even half full. It was my first Time so I cant say if it was a mistake or not.

AMAZING Korean food. Best Korean fried chicken in the city. You NEED to try the Soy Garlic Chicken.

The service is great and quick. The staff is nice and if you just tell them what you need, they’ll get it for you.

I recommend this place to everyone. The only thong missing is flavoured Soju.

Very happy with my selection from the lunch menu. Tasted very Korean and the Kimchi was nice and spicy.

Quick and delicious local Korean joint. Nothing fancy, but food is good. I always get the tofu soup and korean fried chicken. I personally think they have one of the best Korean fried chicken's in the city. They are however, a little slow with refilling the water and always need to be reminded.
