I recently got a haircut from Mazz Barbier West Island, which I was satisfied with. My main concern about this place is it’s sanitation. When I got my hair done I noticed a pretty big rash on the back of my head, at first I didn’t think much of it since this is pretty common with skin fades, but a few days later that same rash turned into white bumps and started getting itchy. I later learned that it was an infection (most likely due to the barber not sanitizing his clippers properly). I had to get hydrocortisone cream to help treat it. Its a shame because the haircut I got was pretty good and I would’ve definitely came back to get another one in the future if it weren’t for this problem.

Great barber in the West Island. Very nice clean establishment with friendly staff. Their prices are reasonable and I always leave feeling happy and satisfied with my haircut. Definitely recommended!

Bashar is an excellent barber! He is super friendly fast and very professional. I always get my haircut from Bashar and he always cuts them super well and perfect. I Would recommend Bashar if you are searching for a very good barber.

The barber called Basher completely messed up my 4 year old's haircut. He wasn't professional at all and didn't seem like someone with 20+ years of experience. If he doesn't do hair cut for toddlers then he should say it before starting. He was getting frustrated everytime my little one moved. The lines are all over the place. At the back it's not straight. Sides and chips are the worst. I am surprised by the lady at the cash who also didn't say anything about him not being experienced or don't know how to cut toddler hair. I wouldn't recommend this place for little ones. They should have been honest from the beginning. Elder son's hair cut was ok but messed up on one side. He didn't ask about the chip or whether to use razor on forehead or not. Lastly, despite making an appointment we had to wait 30 mins. I have been here before with much better experience. I wouldn't recommend the place for kids.

I've been going for a little over two years. I was introduced to Rami Mantovani and I could not be happier. We always do the skin fade + beard combo and every time the quality matches the first time he did my hair. He does not sacrifice time and will make sure that you are happy with what you are getting. Many times, I have been there while he had many others lined up for him and he would still give my hair and beard the time that is required for it to be a perfect cut. Very nice man and excellent at his craft.

Went there today and got my haircut done by Zuheir, very friendly, welcoming staff and most importantly I trusted him to give me a good haircut style and he delivered. Very talented barber!

Mazz is an amazing host and is constantly making improvements to the shop to the customers benefit. I was referred to the shop by my brother in law and have been going for about 5 yrs now
Yes he does change the staff sometimes but if you dont like it dont wait until you leave, make sure you tell Mazz and he will make it right
And dont be shy to make sure you are clear on what you want!
I deal with Sam mainly because I like the way he does my Gautee and he takes care of me everytime. I've also had my cut done by Hayley and Mazz.all of them do a great job keep up the great work!

Hair took a little while to cut but that was because the barber wanted everything to be perfect. I’d definitely recommend, all the staff were very friendly and even those who weren’t cutting my hair would make conversation. Great price too!

I’ve been going here for over a year to get my haircut, I must say that I have been noticing a dip in the quality of the cuts. Having gone recently to get a simple buzz cut, I quickly realized after that there were whole lines of hair that were significantly longer than other parts (some reaching about 3/4 of an inch, when the cut length I wanted was closer to 1/4). I also was told by friends following the cut that the lineup at the back was crooked, and that there was a cut mark on my neck. All in all, pretty disappointed in the loss of quality.

Been going to Mazz for years but was recently introduced to Mantovani. He's cut my hair twice now and the outcome is always amazing. Don't go in expecting to be in and out in 15 minutes. He will take the time to ensure everything is perfect. He takes pride in his craft and it shows in the work he produces. I highly recommend you ask for him if you go.

Husband went in for a haircut.finished with a buzz cut to fix the very bad job the new barber did. Completly destroyed the front part of his hair. They apologized but somehow still made him pay for the haircut! Ridiculous!

Worst experience of my life. Uneven cut, have to redo it myself at home. Used straight blade aggressively without cream, neck felt on fire for an hour after. Never returning.

Zuheir cut my hair and to be honest, I am impressed by his craftsmanship. Despite me not being a chatty person and I think a barber, artisan, craftsman or artist should focus and hone their art, it was really pleasing to have small conversations. All in all, staff were friendly, I came out with a fresh haircut and the services was amazing.

Haley really does an amazing job, goes above and beyond to make sure the haircut is perfectly done! Great atmosphere also. Highly recommend this place to everyone

So now he does not accept walk-ins anymore, except on Saturdays? If you want to cut your hair, you better have an appointment! And now the place looks like a bar instead of barber salon.don’t do what other babrbers are doing Maz, try to be unique! I’ve been going there for a long time but not anymore. Great spot, quick barber cuts! Always feeling good, I was always used to getting my hair cut by Mazz (since I was 10, now 30, he is obviously the best) his team is well trained and up to par also! Don’t be afraid to try the others out you will be surprised on how great they are.
