Very nice pub with a good selection of cocktails, beer, wine, whiskey. Absolutely loved the cocktails we ordered. Halloween night had great young crowd, with live music by a budding singer. He took song requests from the audience as well. Overall a very nice and chill environment.

Les serveuses ne sont pas très presentes et le service est particulièrement très long. Je suis allé avec des amis, et on a dû attendre 30 minutes juste pour prendre la commande. Ensuite, après encore 30 minutes, la commande qui etait simple n'etais toujours pas arrivé et c'etais deja l'heure du last call. La responsable du soir, au lieu de nous trouver une solution, a été très rigide, ce qui nous a obligé de quitter le lieu mains vides. Je suis vraiment très deçu et je ne recommenderais pas cet endroit

Very disappointed that no one checked our vaccine passports when our group of six came in to eat Saturday night.

Me and my wife visited this place during our vacation to Montreal. We had a very good experience.especially the couple (not sure if they are couple) performing with guitar were really talented and made our night.recommend

J'y ai été pour le midi avec un groupe de collègues de 7. C'était peu occupé. Le service était super. Les portions de burgers et frites sont un peu plus petit que dans mes souvenirs (avant mars 2020).

Il y a un menu exclusif pour le midi qui est moins dispendieux.

J'ai pris le burger au bison. Malheureusement, il était trop cuit et sec. J'ai dû mettre beaucoup de mayonnaise. Je ne le recommanderais pas.

Le fish and chip et le club sandwich au poulet sont des portions généreuses. Le bookmaker sandwich avait l'air très appétissant. Il venait avec deux sauces (une blanche et une brune). Le burger végétarienne avait une bonne boulette de faux-viande très impressionnant en terme de goût!

Pour les mesures sanitaires, le menu est un code QR. Il est possible de demander un menu plastifié. Les tables sont distancées et les serveurs portent un masques.

Try the Guinness beef nachos, bangers and mash or sweet potato fries. Great atmosphere on courtyard patio and one of the best kitchens in the area.

Cool bar, laid back attitude. Appreciated the server accepted my money all in change. Alas, I only had toonies and loonies on me.

20 minutes d'attente entre le moment ou on s'est assis, et le moment ou un serveur vient nous voir. Ensuite, 30 minutes d'attente et notre commande n'était toujours pas arrivée. On est donc partis, première fois de ma vie que ça arrive.
Le problème, c'est l'achalandage, il n'y a clairement pas assez de serveurs par rapport au nombre de tables. On sait, c'est la période qui veut ça, vous recrutez, blablabla.
Cependant, dans la plupart des pubs, ils limitent le nombre de tables disponibles en fonction du nombre de serveurs capables de faire le service. Exemple, au Saint Houblon, la salle du haut est fermée depuis le début de la saison, faute d'employés suffisants.
Chez vous non, vous ouvrez TOUTES vos tables, même avec 4 serveurs, résultat, ils sont débordés, et le service est EXTRÊMEMENT long.
(Presque 1h d'attente devant une table vide avant qu'on se décide a partir)
Bref, vous voulez le plus de rentabilité, au détriment du service client.
Ça me fait du mal, on était habitués du McKibbin's sur Crescent avant le covid, mais chez vous, on ne risque pas de devenir des habitués, pas avec un service comme ça.
Vraiment, le plus objectivement possible, c'est l'un des pire services (en terme de lenteur) qu'on ait eu a Montréal depuis aussi longtemps que je me souvienne.

La nourriture était bonne, les serveuses était assez présentes, mais pas trop, bon service malgré que nous étions un petit groupe.

Good beer, basic cocktails, but the food is not as good as it used to be. Typical bar food but many items are served with substitutes. The service was not too bad since opening after the lockdown. Overall, I would not recommend.

We had amazing service, and the fish tacos were excellent, crispy and fresh. The Caesar salad was also delicious, again crisp and fresh with just the right amount of dressing. Will definitely return!

Fun spot with good beer, live music, and funny bartenders. We are from the states so we were a little confused that bartenders don't have tip jars, but our bartender helped us out and we made sure to take care of him.

Service désagréable et lent. Les boissons sont mauvaises. La serveuse agresse pour le pourboire alors qu'elle ne fait pas son taff. À éviter.

Étant moi même un habituer de l'endroit. J'adore y aller pour toute occasion. Party de bureau, entre amis, pour regarder le match de canadiens. Le service est cordiale et bien. Le décors de bois massif donne un sentiment de chaleur et d’accueil.

Fait à noté, la décoration pour différents événements de l'année est très apprécier. Noel, St-Patrick, St. Jean, Halloween et j'en passe.

Recommande les yeux fermer.

Second location that I visited where their wings taste like water. The price and quality of the food is not worth it. Service is just ok.

The place is beautiful looking. The wooden bar, ambiance and all around authentic look was very impressive. I wish the food, was as good as the look of the establishment. The poutine tasted like it was jar gravy, fries were still hard and the curb weren't melted. Then I had the creamy chicken Bushmills whiskey dish. The gravy was delicious. They should really us the gravy for the poutine. Unfortunately the chicken was extremely dry and failed the dish.

Top notch, very quick service, fish and chips is huge and good, cold beer, great staff. Will return.

Call me crazy but I'm fairly confident the Guiness is watered down. Terrible service. But their live band was amazing!

Deux serveuses extrêmement bêtes qui nous font sentir de trop et une nous a exigé de partir sous prétexte qu'il y avait d'autres monde quand il n'y avait personne.

Yeah, it's good-not-great. I can see why the locals like it. Good service, good food, acceptable beer list. Good digs. But it's not great. Comfortable, but not great.

Great live music last Saturday. Enjoyed the energy very much. The service was good, got beers every time we ordered them in a timely manner.

Pub grub. Standard fare. Above standard beer selection. Go here for breakfast! It's almost always empty for breakfast and their main waitress on weekend mornings is a gem. Their food is definitely above average.

Green is the color. A typical Irish bar decorated authentic! Try it and re-visit if you like. Across the famous cinema.great location specially when the sun shines on the few tables located on the edge of the sidewalk. Menu classic. Prices reasonable but no McDonald level. Our History

The historic Mckibbin's red sandstone mansion was built in 1904 by one of Canada's most brilliant surgeons, Dr. Frank Richardson England (1862-1942) and his wife Grace Octavia Ritchie (1868-1948), the first woman to receive a degree in medicine in Quebec. Both worked at Western Hospital, which housed the Montreal Children's Hospital until recently. Mrs. England was perhaps even more remarkable than her husband. Valedictorian of the first class of women to graduate from McGill University in 1888, she went on to study medicine at Bishop's when McGill refused to allow a woman to enter their Faculty of Medicine, which was then a strictly men only profession. She set up private practice in their mansion on Bishop Street, campaigned for women's suffrage, legal reform, compulsory education and was president of the Montreal Women's Liberal Club amongst other accomplishments.

The England House was designed by Robert Findlay, the same renowned architect responsible for the Dr. David Fraser Gurd Residence next door at 1424 Bishop, as well as many other prestigious mansions in The Golden Square Mile, as the area was known. "The front is of tastefully carved red sandstone. Inside the finish is of the finest, and the house is an exceedingly comfortable one, " reported the Montreal Herald. "The study and the patient's waiting room are well fitted up. "

Eating and Drinking Emporium
Mckibbin's Irish Pub, named after the McKibbin's from Ireland, and located in this historic turn of the century mansion situated at 1426 Bishop Street, quickly developed a reputation as being 'the' Montreal eating and drinking emporium. Since then, McKibbin's Irish Pubs have flourished and now offer multiple locations throughout the Montreal area.

Fighting Albert
Albert McKibbin fought with General Kitchener in Khartoum, but contracted yellow fever and died shortly after his return. His son, George, emigrated to Canada in 1912 with his family aboard the Lusitania. Ethel McKibbin, the eldest daughter, was saved by the cook during the voyage when she crawled underneath the railing.

Lusitania Torpedoed
The McKibbins were originally booked to take the ill-fated Titanic but Ruth McKibbin (the youngest daughter) was ill, thus postponing the trip by one week. The Lusitania was subsequently the first passenger liner to be torpedoed by a German Submarine in World War I. Look around the pub for family relics.

On est entré, ils nous dit "prenez la place que vous voulez", la place était loin d'être pleine. Après 15 minutes sans avoir de visite de quelqu'un, on est parti. Allez au Ye Olde Orchard à la place, perdez pas votre temps

A great place to watch sports or just meet with friends. The menu offers the classic Irish pub food and a few local variations. The beer selection will please most people, good and fresh. The service is nice and quick. Great location!

Classic Irish pub with live music on Friday and Saturday night. The food is what you would expect and the prices are reasonable. Friendly staff, although service is sometimes slow when the place is packed Friday and Saturday.

Bière à bon prix, chansonnier certains soir, ambiance relaxe. Cependant ma serveuse sentait le fond de tonneau et la cigarette à fond et j'avais peur lorsqu'elle venait nous voir.

The food is fine.you know typical pub food. Great happy hour. The services isnt the greatest but it's ok. You know it's not bad but I land there because I'm in the area not because I actually go there.

Food was amazing (we got the fish and chips), drinks were great. Between the chill atmosphere and the awesome bartenders, if I lived in the area this would definitely be a go to place on the weekends.
