They saved my bacon! Hit a giant pothole that pierced my tire and deformed the rim. I was 45min away from home and the day was ending. Other garages wouldn't even look at it until the next day. They fixed the tire and rim enough for me to safely get back home in just an hour and for 100$. Absolutely amazing! Would recommend to anyone.

Took my car here in the spring to change my tires over. They tried really hard to upsell me to fix the suspension for 6 grand. I then took it to my trusted mechanic who said the suspension was fine. They also broke 2 of my valve stems and butchered one of my winter tires which I just found out now that I went to put them back on because they were in bags. Avoid this garage they only seem to care about making money.

What an awesome gang. They squeezed me in for an alignment before I drove back to New Brunswick. Very nice people. Explained everything and had me on my way in no time. Highly recommend

I used to go there and thought I was getting good service at a reasonable price.that was before we asked them to check a vibration problem with the car. They had us change the front suspension (right side tie rods, table and balljoint). It took a whole day and they charged us nearly 1200$ for it. Went to pick up the car and it was still vibrating. We took it to a different mechanic only to be told that the vibration issue was mostly coming from the engine and that the job we'd had done at Merson needed to be done on the left side too. We asked for a quote a braced for it, but when he started to laugh, we didn't know what to expect. Turns out Merson charged us 3-4x the typical price of such repairs (we validated since with several other mechanics) and the job was done and over within less than an hour (within this time he also managed to change all four break pads and plates as well)!
Needless to say we will NEVER go back to Merson and I highly discourage anyone from going there as they are dishonest and clearly ready to invent anything to get the most money possible from trusting clients

As someone else said, they're great until suddenly they're not.
It all started when they lost my tires. They treated me like I was a liar or somehow responsible for what happened, despite me paying to store them for the winter.
Problems cascaded from there. My oil change done at the same time resulted in my neighbor letting me know the next day my car was leaking massive amounts of oil. I called them and brought in right in. Mechanic said it was 99% their fault (? !) And that something hadn't been tightened enough. Then a few minutes later, the same guy brings me to the back to show me the cracked oil pan. Which you'd think they would have noticed while doing the oil change? They took no responsibility, despite my car having leaked no oil before I brought it in. The mechanic made sure to reassure me, "this incident has nothing to do with your lost tires". Okay.this repair cost me $900+. I left in tears, helpless over how to prove they could have caused the leak. My next visit for tire change and oils I asked them to check my windshield wipers that were making a loud noise. They charged me for new ones, only for me to drive away and find they still made the noise. When I returned they told me it was actually a serious problem and it would cost $500. I didn't do it. They didn't bother to refund me for the faulty oil change, or the windshield wipers that didn't audit need replacing.
That was my last visit and I'll never go back.

Amazing workers and great people. Helped me and my husband out extremely last minute and did not over-charge us, leaving us happy, safe, and satisfied. Really grateful for their work and would recommend this shop to anybody who needs auto services!

We had a flat tire the night before a family road trip. The next morning I called Merson, and they told me to come on over. They cleaned up the corrosion on my rims and inflated my tire (as well as a second one which was also losing air). I was good to go in 30 minutes and our trip was saved! The were also super friendly, informative, and gave me an excellent price. Thank you, Merson!

I Sent them 3 inquiries via their website regarding issues i am having with my car.

(possible timming chain problems, complicated job if so)

I wanted to know if those issues were something they were comfortable dealing with.i Never got an answer.i will rate them one star based on that as I never actually got to talk to them.

If they cannot be bothered to answer questions about prospective repairs, after 3 attempts on my part.that says a lot.they really should remove the mention that they usually answer within one business day. Because they do not. I reached out 3 times over four days.never heard back

So much for their "reputation"

I had to have time sensitive repairs done for an SAAQ inspection.not easy during the vacation season. Charly fit my car in and completed the work extremely quickly at an affordable price. Big thank you!

Constant update and explanations as the work is getting done. Prices feel a little steep especially when it comes to diagnostics.

My first experience with Merson Automotive was not a pleasant one. We bring our car here twice a year for a tire change notably since they can also store the tires and we have had no issues, but this time I took the car in rather than my spouse and I sat around for over 2 hours. We had an appointment, so I would expect to be in and out fairly quickly and due to the location it was not feasible to just drop the car off. They state that it should take about 1 hour (still long but I can deal with 1 hour).
I also really do not like all the plastic bags used, you would think they could find a more eco-friendly alternative. I asked that they not place my hub caps in a plastic bag but just put them in the trunk yet they still used one as well as requiring a printed invoice rather than an email.
Thus a really bad first experience for me, but since it is the first bad experience over a few years, we will likely return to try again in the fall as the service at the counter was very friendly and overall it has been a good experience for my spouse.

Went to mersons this morning for a wheel alignment on my Z4, service was quick and efficient, staff were friendly and my car handles better than ever, thanks Charlie!

The best. I have been coming here for years (going on decades) and wouldn’t consider going elsewhere. The team is always pleasant and most importantly trustworthy. They will tell you what the issue is, give you options and work with you to come up with a cost effective solution based on your car and situation. As a woman who has too often encountered service workers in other institutions talking down to her or trying to pull a fast one on her (as if I can’t understand mechanics), I can say that is is refreshing to be treated with respect and fairness. Thank you Charlie, Celso, Mark, Chris, and the entire team. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Love the care they take of my moms car but also of my mom!
I live out of town and whenever my parents had car issues I knew they would be fine going to Merson. Since my father has passed and my mom has to deal with the car on her own I feel relieved to know she can go here for a fair price, great work but also recognition by name when she comes in.
I was with her on a visit when there was a last minute need for repair. The dealer said it would take a while over the weekend. The guys at Merson found a way to get her in and out within 24 hours! Charlie made it happen and seeing the relief come over my mom was priceless.

I have brought my car in here on a few occasions for repairs. Drop it off. They call me when it's done. Made an appointment with them for tire change 2 weeks prior for a 10: 15 Saturday morning. Walked in at 10 they said it would be an hour and half to 2 hours before they could do the change. I said I have an appointment at 10: 15. Why the wait? Said I live 5 mins away. Call me 15 mins in advance and I'll come right over. The clown says "Sorry sir that's not the way it works" So it's obvious they know how to take an appointment but can't commit to it. Will never go back there again.

I have been dealing with Merson for almost 20 years now and I must say, being a woman, it's the first garage that I feel very comfortable going to. The customer service is excellent! I usually deal with Chris who is always very pleasant and professional. I am always confident that I will get an honest and courteous service. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent service and super accommodating. They're always there to help you out, booking an appointment online is easy, and even when you drop in the wait times are always very reasonable. And the quality of the service is always A1. I'd never go anywhere else.

I have been a Merson client for the past ten years. For most of those years my needs were fairly routine: tire changes, balancing of wheels, alignment, oil changes, etc. Yes, during busy times, I had to wait longer than expected for my car but appointments were always kept. I was always a satisfied customer. Today, however, I had an experience that I would like to share.
During the past few months I had been hearing an unusual noise coming from the rear of my vehicle. About four weeks ago, I visited the dealer where I had purchased the vehicle. Their diagnosis was quick but the cost of the repair was going to be in the THOUSANDS of dollars.
Today I visited Merson and Charlie, the chief mechanic, decided to test drive the vehicle before following the repair recommendations of my dealer. After about 1 hour, Charlie called me into the service bay and explained that there was nothing the matter with the car. The noise was caused by the tires. He and his mechanic assistant said that they were 100% confident that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the vehicle.
I was ecstatic. They could have done the job and I would have been much poorer although less so compared to the price the dealer was quoting. Instead they were honest, clear and forthright with their explanation. I would strongly recommend Merson anytime. Car mechanics tend to have a shady reputation. Today, that was shown to be questionable by Chris, Charlie and his assistant, all at Merson. Unfortunately, I did get the mechanic's name. The people at Merson are competent and have integrity. What more can you ask for? Bravo Merson.
