Good store. There is a large selection of goods: expensive and cheap. There are often many different promotions and discounts.

Got very unpleasant experience when there was a mistake in price at the cash. The cashier was very rude and not professional. And it was the store mistake. What a shame for such a store!

This store is well-equipped and the staff are friendly and very helpful.
But I am giving the store four stars the reason being is that the light in the parking lot has not been working for many weeks now.
I usually go to the store at night, and the parking lot is extremely dark.
This is dangerous and unacceptable.
If you go to the store at night, be prepared to enter a very dark parking lot or better yet park on the street it’s brighter.

Get your bottle return machine fixed! If you can’t provide the return service you should not be charging a deposit! Your company makes enough profit to get working machines! Oh and take responsibility for having the key to empty the machine! I’m tired of the 50-50 chance of not being able to return cans. Do better!

Their "extra lean" hamburger isn't very lean at all, and anyway I get sick in my intestines every time I buy meat at this store so I stopped doing that. You'd think after so many years they would have cleaned up their act in the meat department, but sadly they have not. It's a poorly managed location with staff problems. And lately I found empty shelves instead of the item I wanted, so I don't bother going here anymore.

After 12 years I'm giving up on this store.
I was there today.
Shelves empty, flyer items not there.
I realize they are having staff issues but considering the price of food it's tough to maintain patience and shameful to make us use the self checkout.

Thankfully I'm surrounded by grocery stores.

Just came back from my weekly grocery run. Tonight will be my last time shopping at Metro on Somerled street after being a customer for 15 years. It amazes me how the manager at this location does not value his customers. After spending $250 dollars, I proceeded to the automatic machine for the cans. The bag in the machine was full. I asked for help at the front booth to no avail. After waiting 15 minutes I asked the manager at the front. He said, “You have to wait. ” I said that wasn’t a problem. After waiting another twenty minutes, I went back to the manager and asked if someone could help. He said, “No. There is no one here to help right now. ” Lots of employees standing around doing nothing at that particular moment. After waiting a total of 45 minutes, and three people in back of me in line to use the machine, also complaining, I told the manager I was leaving and not returning to this location. He was very indifferent. Funny how they can take my money but can’t help a customer out when they have to give a few dollars back. I’ll be going the few extra blocks and taking my business to IGA.

On a downward spiral. Holes in stock, no longer stock many favourites, staff more and more lackluster, store cleanliness suffering. Clearly a big problem at the management level.
With many better grocery stores within the same radius to go to I wonder why I keep going here.

It is good franchise for metro but most the time the milk bag contains the leaked milk pouches.

Very expensive groceries and you can only take the cart to the front of the store, can't go any further so if you have a lot of groceries to get your car you have to Lug them around it.

The staffs are nice and the store has enough variety but the department is lacking of fresh fruits each time I go there and the meat or fish department has a bad smell. The chicken I bought had an eggy smell to it. I tried to leave the package open and then cook it. But even after it was cooked. It had a bit of that egg smell to it. I got it on the same day it was dated packaged.: (Are you putting expired meat back to shelf with new date?

UPDATE: I have seen some improvement since the last time I went. I don't smell fishy around the meat corner and the meat seems more decent. The fruits are fresher than what I used to see. I am keeping my old post as a reference to how it got better. I hope metro will keep the quality.

Good selection of items. The parking lot is a little small but there are places to park on the side.

Shopped on May 2021. Clerk threw 2 plastic bags for us to pack our own order when no other client was in line. This has now happened on numerous occasions but never at IGA.

Great friendly service at the deli counter, store is well organized and a lot of care is taken for COVID sanitization

I love this metro but they never seem to have enough of the specials. We make a special trip to go there but are disappointed the specials are gone or deliveries are "slow". Also manager there is very accommodating but he's always yelling.lol

Everytime I go there they either do not have what they advertise or the food is rotten and expired. Very disappointing.

Don't buy meat at this Metro store on Somerled unless you enjoy intestinal cramps and diarrhea. I can't believe they haven't cleaned up their act after all these years, incredible.

Généralement propre et peu achalandé, le prix des fruits et légumes y est abominable. Comptez 2 à 4 fois le prix comparé à un Kim Phat.

The staff is extremely rude, the prices and deals are marked wrong sometimes and the customer has to suffer and deal with the cashier.

Store is not following public health guidelines for masks. Customers paying and walking store this morning without masks as well as staff entering store with no masks. Very disappointing

Pleasantly surprised!

I don't usually buy groceries there but today turned into a nice shopping experience: the selection, the courteous staff, and best of all, prices were definitely lower than the nearby competition on many items, from fruit and vegetables to chicken.

I don't like the service, they make me feel awful.when it was my turn to pay, the cashier went to another area, she left me waiting.for a long time.

Excellent service, I went in there looking for the manager recently to let the manager know that his/her employee was outside on the sidewalk helping an older lady get in her car with her groceries, and that he was so patient with her. I was just compelled to mention it to someone. So I asked for the manager and I waited. I understood why I waited, because that same young man that was helping the older lady was the manager. Amazing.

The staff is so great. Great produce quality. Great choice of quality products. A step above Provigo. And now an update Dec. 21,2020.the raspberries from Mexico, on sale at 3 for $4.50 are absolutely THE BEST!

My neighbourhood grocer store (which means I'm there a lot) -clean, well-organized store with a good selection of items, including DF and GF items. (The latter could be improved though. IGA and Provigo still have the upper hand in this regard.)

Store is very clean and organized. They sanitized all the shopping cards before you use it which is very good. I hope someday they could add a self checkouts because sometimes there’s not enough cashiers working which creates huge lines.

My no. 1 shopping supermarket, they have merchandise that others don't have
They have parking space for shoppers, coinchanger machine, a quick bite food and other things that shoppers might needs.

I bo we have been coming to this store for 23 years used to be very good now it sucks. Stock is always short. Non stop turn over of employees.

A rather ordinary supermarket, but go there because it is the closest and generally has most of what I need. Has a surprisingly good deli counter- better than its competitors in the area.

This isn't the biggest store they have but it's definitely one of the best. It has everything you need, very clean and a helpful staff. Parking lot will hold at least 20 cars

Prices are decent only if you carefully select items that earn loyalty rewards points. Otherwise discounts are rarely significant

My bag of red potatoes were moldy. I also bought mushrooms 2 for something and the entire package was covered in mold under the sticker so I couldn't see. I bought it all less than 24 hours ago. I don't have my receipt but the other pack of mushrooms ***looks*** fine!

It's a grocery so not a lot to comment about. However after 10 years shopping there, never had passed date products or issues and it is clean. I know not the sexiest review but hey:)

Fruits and vegetables aren't the greatest. I've bought 2 rotten salads from them in the past few weeks and be careful of fresh or prepared produce from this store.staff is very friendly great for your basics

Malheureusement le manque d' espace empêche d'avoir autant de produits qu'on le souhaiterait. Par contre le personnel est courtois

This is a nice local grocery store. Not too big, not too small. Just right to serve the local area. Fresh produce and meats daily and decent specials every now and again. Friendly staff, fast service and plenty of parking. Open late until 11pm.

Metro. It's a good grocery store for the community. Some good deals and cheaper than IGA or provigo. It's where my mother shops and all of our gang members.

Personel gentil, produits plus ou moins varié, un petit rafraîchissement s'impose a ce qui a trait a l'apparence et surtout a l'équipement (frigo, congélo, etc) des lieux!

A lot of products they dont have. Kinda expensive. Some of the staff are friendly, but not all.

J'y trouve toujours tout ce dont j'ai besoin pour la maison ou pour la cuisine. Les caissiers sont sympas et accueillant. Il y a un stationnement accessible via Somerled ou Av. Prince of Wales. C'est aussi accessible en transport en commun, même pour des parents avec des poussettes pour bébés. En face, il y a une pharmacie et autour, plein de petits restos sympas (asiatiques, italiens, koréens, américains etc.)

Epicerie de surface moyenne, mais avec le choix d'une grande, horaires larges bien pratiques, bien situé au centre des quartiers Montréal Ouest, NDG, et CSL.

Proche de chez moi, j'y trouve tout ce dont j'ai besoin, même des couches et des lingettes quand la pharmacie est fermée. Il y a des rabais en magasin chaque semaine

It’s an okay store. I would be fine paying top dollar for products if the store wasn’t so dated. Staff is friendly. It’s refreshing to see cashiers with a smile and a sense of humour!

It's a small store compared to other Metro stores I've been to. They have an assortment of products, just in smaller quantities and not as many brands. If you are looking for organics, gluten and allergen free products or other specialty products this is not the store to go to. There are very few of these. Fruits and veggies are very fresh as is the quality of the meat.

Forgot to pay adequate attention to expiration dates. I should travel further to do my groceries.
