Absolutely loved it! I had to give it a 5-star rating. Everything from the atmosphere, music, stunning view, to the delicious food was spot on. The best part? It's all offered at very affordable prices.

Bon petit resto mexicain bien situé (en face de la rivière Outaouais). La nourriture est délicieuse et les prix sont biens.

Excellent resto. La propriétaire est avenante, elle prend soin des clients. Les repas sont très bons et goûteux!

Je suis allé là l'été dernier avec ma conjointe et on nous a servi en anglais sans même nous offrir un menu. J'ai discrètement et poliment demandé à la gérante si on pouvais être servi en français et elle a commencé a dire à haute voix qu'elle pouvais nous servir en français et même en espagnol si je voulais d'un ton accusateur, pour tous les autres clients entendre. C'était clair que nous étions 2 francophones sans avoir à nous narguer ainsi. La situation fût stressante par la suite jusqu'à notre départ. Nous aurions pu arriver a un terrain d'entente si la dame avait été plus courtoise.

This place was excellent! I always love visiting family establishments and you can clearly see everyone is genuinely enjoying being there. The staff were so nice and attentive, always quick to bring all of our drinks and food. Our food was amazing, so tasty and delicious.
(Also appreciated they had vegetarian options!)
I also highly recommend the sangria, (both flavours) it was so tasty!
Last, but not least the white cake our table had at the end of the evening was a tiny piece of heaven! It was moist and so flavourful!
Definitely a great place to visit if you're local or from out of town!

Nourriture exceptionnelle, c'est fait maison et juste assez épicé pour des plats mexicains. Les drinks et les desserts sont tous aussi succulents! C'est un endroit parfait pour prendre un café devant la vue superbe de la rivière des Outaouais autant que pour apprécier un bon repas.

We ordered veg quesadillas, Tacos and veg Nachos. They were delicious and the vibe with the waterfront is amazing!

Une superbe terrasse surplombant la rivière des Outaouais où nous pouvons déguster un savoureux repas mexicain! Ce restaurant familial est situé à un superbe endroit! Le service y est excellent et que dire de la nourriture, tout simplement exquis! Le MEILLEUR gâteau très lèches (trois laits). Belle carte de vins et de drinks!

I rarely write restaurant reviews but Mon Cafe deserves it. Is the Best Mexican restaurant in the Ottawa region. I usually like my Mexican food hot but at Mon Cafe it is great as chef makes it. Great food, full of flavor. We visited with my family and all of us loved it. The dessert we had was out of this world. Service was as great as the food. It is a family owned restaurant and everyone is so friendly. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Working hard with a friendly smile. Difficult to find such a friendly service anywhere these days. Whole family is hard working and super talented, the real passion is not food, it is singing. I would give seven stars if possible. We are looking forward to visiting with our family and friends to support you and enjoy amazing food, once COVID gets better. Keep up the great work.

Just a quick trip, it wasn't open but I met the owners. Beautiful spot, I can wait to go there when life opens up again! Good place to try Mexican food.

Je suis vraiment heureux d'avoir finalement essayé ce restaurant, cet été passé avec ma copine. Le service est très courtois, la nourrite goûte magnifique et mon dieu.le gâteau aux tres leches goûte le paradis!

Nous sommes heureux de constater que de petits cafés comme celui-ci ouvrent leur porte sur cette belle rue qu'est la Jacques-Cartier. Et quand ces derniers nous accueille aussi chaleureusement que Mon Café, alors c'est un vrai bonheur. Si vous voulez passez un moment agréable, en toute simplicité, avec une très belle vue et de magnifiques couchés de soleil, rendez-vous à ce petit café.

Great atmosphere, sitting by the water having a delicious Sangria! I would recommend the pulled pork and chicken burrito, so delicious!
Did not have room for dessert or coffee so will have to go back!

Coffee is amazing and dessert. But you can get wasted quietly here and they sell bunch of alcohol drinks!

Cozy fun cafe with atmosphere and a view! I love their espresso based afogato dessert, and the coffees are amazing.

The nachos were a little underwhelming as compared to what I had at other places in the neighborhood. Perhaps more veggies and flavor for the vegetarian nachos would help. Everything else we ordered was great. Tres leches cake was delicious. Amazing service and great ambience for a lovely evening.

Cynthia and her family are amazing. The chicken tacos are dynamite! My short time there tonight made me feel like the world is normal again. Gooooo visit, grab some tacos and a Margherita and meet the gang. Awesome experience

Raymond and Sylvie are gracious hosts. Food is excellent and the location is perfect. Beautiful view from their patio to see fireworks or just people watch.
