Montreal Aviation Museum

Really passionate volunteers/staff, very cool museum, well priced for size-would go again!

Though a little distant from downtown, the museum is still worth a visit because it introduces a lot of histories of aviation in Québec.

This was maybe not as modern, but very interesting. You can read many WW2 stories and try simulators. Not so expensive and worth it. Recommended to people passionated of planes.

My 3 year old was so excited to see all the planes. It's a simple museum but great for both, small kids and aviation enthusiasts.

Great place and amazing effort to preserve important history and passing it along to the next generation.

Wide collection of old aircrafts that have been assembled in a very nice way, with flight simulators (old and new), engines, and a thorough history of the aviation in Canada. The museum volunteers are super nice and they guided us and explained a lot of the museum items in detail. I'd definitely recommend visiting this place!

Très beau musée, malheureusement nous sommes arrivés alors qu'il n'y avait pas d'électricité et nous n'avons pas pu apprécier tout l'endroit. Mais, nous le recommandons!

First time visitor. I will definitely be going back! Some really interesting exhibits, and so great to see the aircraft rebuilding work in progress!

This museum deserves five stars for their effort with time and money that's spent to provide us with amazingly great info on the history of flight.

My girlfriend and I had visited the museum last year, I have been meaning to go back. The place has alot of items and information. You definitely leave with a large amount of knowledge surrounding the history of aviation. Definitely a place I would recommend checking out.

It closed due to Covid19. But you can see two air planes and two engines showed outside of museum.

Vraiment surprenant ce petit musée. On y apprend énormément sur le rôle de Montréal dans l'industrie aéronautique au Canada, prenant son essor lors de la seconde guerre mondiale. Des bénévoles nous font découvrir les modèles d'avions et l'histoire aérienne du Canada. Germain était notre guide et c'est comme si nous avions accès à une encyclopédie vivante. Bravo.

Musée a voir, je suis tombée sur une équipe de passionnés.
Ils rénovent ou plutôt ils reconstruisent des avions.
Je suis tombée sur André, un chouette type passionné, il m'a montré son simulateur qu'il a construit de lui même. Bravo à l équipe.

Guide was knowledgeable space had stuff for kid's and in spite of its small size a great collection

This is a nice little place you can find on the island of Montreal. It is located on the experimental farm of McGill university or the MacDonald campus. The size of the place is rather small so there is not a lot of aircraft collection. What it entails is the local history of all aviation pioneers in the early part of the century of aviation. Very educational.

Highly recommend a visit.

Un musée, le seul! Une équipe de passionnés restaurent de belles machines anciennes. Nous sommes très bien accueillis et on nous propose une visite privée - en français -. Merci Michel de nous faire partager cette passion.

Beau musé qui nous en a appris beaucoup sur la place du Québec dans le développement de l'industrie de l'aviation.

This is one of the best kept gems in Montreal. This is a working museum. You can see aircraft being built from the original blueprints. This is great for children and anyone with an interest in Canada's significant role in aviation history.

Le personnel est très sympathique, ils connaissent bien leur histoire et j’ai beaucoup appris. Très intéressant de voir les anciens avions (répliques et d’origine) et tout autres objets d’époque des grandes guerres. Vaut la distance!

Nothing extravagant, but nice if you're going for that small, rustic 'museum' feel.

I work here as a volunteer on weekends.

Just visited the museum out of curiosity, not really my kind of thing so it was difficult to say if the displays were impressive or not. Otherwise it was still nice to learn about planes along with their history.
