Montreal South KOA Journey

Wonderful campground outside of Montreal. Many amenities and activities. Mini golf, pool, play area, dog park, chickens. Community gathering areas, large washrooms with private showers. A community room with kitchen and games room.
Most RV sites are pull through and most offer full hook ups. Road ways and campsites are mainly level. The park was immaculately clean and well maintained. On site office / store was well stocked and contained a vartiey of souvenirs. Would definitely recommend this campground.

Of all the KOAs we have stayed at so far during our cross Canada trip, this one is okay but does not stand out among KOAs.

Nice little stop on the way to and from New Brunswick for me and my Family. People are polite and the girl at the front counter was cute, so 5 stars

We stayed there twice. Enjoyed the facilities and cleanliness so much we planned for the second visit on our return trip. Sites were really nice, well spaced and even.

Great campground very close to Montreal. Quiet and clean. Great pull-thru sites. Clean bathrooms and showers. Nice pool and some entertainment such as mini-putt and pool.

Campsites & rest time/showers were very clean. Very quiet area. We arrived after the office was closed but late check-in was very easy!

A PERFECT KOA if you bring your own mobile WiFi! I did not. I did not know my service would not work in Canada. The "free WiFi" was no more than a 30 minute trial. Totally inadequate.

The campground was very clean with large spots. The washrooms were super clean. Definitely very nice place to stay.

Big campground, good spots, nice neighborhood, far from Montreal, almost an hour. Service bad for Americans with att or Verizon. Friendly staff.

Camping au top, calme, emplacement super, sanitaire impeccables. Cuisine d'été pour les campeur très chouette. Je recommande!

Great KOA, but as a tent camper, I cannot recommend it. The area reserved for tents is next to a creek with loads of mosquitoes. Bathroom facilities are far away. The bugs made it hard to enjoy our stay except when we were relaxing up near the RVs in the swimming pool.

Update: Back after 3 years. Still nice place. Our one huge complaint from before, the dusty roads, stoned! So much better. New, larger camp store. Everything else stands with original review!

Nice place. Convenient for the F1 race. Pretty quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful, in person and on the phone. Small store with ice, milk, wine, snacks and such. Great bath/shower room. The roads were out of control dusty though! They definitely need to stone or oil or something! Some of the seasonal sites are nicely cared for, others not as much. Also, some seasonals get rowdy on Saturdays. Quiet time? All in all, I would definitely come back.

Great campsite. Lots of space, with or without services, clean washroom and showers, pool and park for the kids.

Ce camping est très tranquil et très propre! Les douches sont grandes et gratuites! Il y a service buanderie aussi. La piccine est très belle et propre. Dans la salle de jeux il y a juste une table de billard (on a jamais réussi d avoir les bâtons x jouer car d autres gens l avaient) et une autre vueille table de jeux différent. Il y a dans cette salle pour faire la vaiselle, un micro-ondes, cuisinière. Le soir il n y a pas de lumières au camping, j ai vu des lampadaires partout mais ne l allument pas! On est resté 2 nuits. Les gens très aimables. On peut sortir et entrer quand on veut du camping. Il y a un beau parc assez grand pour les enfants à côté de la piccine!

This was a stopover for a good night sleep on my way home from vacation. Travelling solo with my dog. Staff were welcoming & friendly. Sites were clean & well kept. Bathroom & shower facilities spick & span. It was quiet & location perfect for anywhere near Montreal. Easy to find and in a really nice quaint town. Highly recommended

Campground has excellent amenities for young families. The playground is exceptionally large, the mini golf is $2 per person and is a good time. The pool is lovely and clean. The entire campground is very well maintained.

Accessibility is a problem. The gate to the pool was too heavy for me, and there were a number of problematic thresholds when I tried to go into the office with my walker. There is a ramp to the door on both sides, but they have placed a bench across the top of both ramps, making it very difficult to access in my walker, and impossible in my wheelchair.

Bathrooms n shower is clean. Don't like the rules of no music, no noise after 10pm. Jokes on them. Totally sucks the trains horn every hour on the hours. The hwy 20 cars with loud exhaust. Please there was a concert at Valleyfield we could here. This camp site is lame.made for boring old people. I'm camping and want to make noise. Yes there is running water and electricity. I would not cam at Coteau de lac KOA. It sucks major. Kids were soooooooo bored we left the site to seek entertainment. Meh!

We were there for only 1 night but it was impeccably clean and well maintained - we loved it. The showers were amazing, clean, high quality and large. No noise at all and an excellent well stocked store on site. We stayed a weekday in September so very much not busy - our 3 service site would not have been so great in busy season as they are tight.

Stayed 2 nights, 32 ft motor home. This place was a wonderful stay in the last couple days of our Rv trip out east. The staff were so nice. All the amenities clean and spaced out nicely. Wifi was not good but… you’re camping. Close to Montreal. This is not a knock at all… but of all the campsites we stayed at this one felt the most cookie cutter. They have a template and they build it. Now having said that… it’s a great template. Close sites but still private.

All the plug ins and sites clean. Truly a great stay. Pool was nice. They charge for mini putt… they probably shouldn’t. Lol. Decent price. We got the pad, 30 amp with sewage.

Great KOA in Montreal. Perfect spot to jump across island without going through the city. East to Quebec City or West to Toronto. Highly recommend!

Just wanted to give a shout out and huge thank you to the staff at the Montreal South KOA. We were leaving this morning to travel home to Ontario but we had no lights to our 5th wheel. Bernard, Francois, and a lovely lady (didn’t get her name) spent 3 hours with us trying to solve the problem. It turned out to be something simple. Our ground pin wasn’t connecting. Anyway, they went way over and above to help us. They weren’t walking away until they figured it out and asked nothing in return for their work. The least we can do is make sure everyone knows what a fantastic place this is. Lovely office/store, level spots, lots of amenities, and unbelievable customer service. ️

The park is immaculate. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The amenities are outstanding. It's a beautiful park with easy access to everything you need and close to Montreal. Well worth the stay.

Excellent place to stay if you are going into Montreal. They provided great instructions to parking and taking the metro. They have clean bathrooms and the pool was immaculate even with all the children.

Great staff. Called the day of and got a site. Pool and playground and small dog area super clean. Only 30 minutes to downtown Montreal by car. Out in rural area so quite.

This campground is more catered to overnighters. As an overnight option, it was fantastic. Easy in, easy out, playground was close, garbage was close, and we were escorted to our site without any wait whatsoever. For an overnight campground, I would definitely say this one is better than Montreal West mainly because it has a short laneway, easy turns, an updated playground, and sites are bigger. We drive a 40ft fifth wheel and I'd say I could be a bit longer in my turns and still have room to spare. The sites are long, I could park my trailer, my tow vehicle, and one more in our pull through spot. Voltage was good here, no issues. Water pressure was good. Pull throughs actually have some shade, which doesn't seem to be overly common. Our kids had a lot of fun at the playground, more than we expected. If you wanted to spend multiple nights, it's great for that too. I wouldn't call it a destination campground but I don't think that it's intended to be one. The only things to note here, there is some aviation noise here but it's not constant. You are next to a busy road but not the autoroute so it's not bad. All the hook ups were towards the back of the site. Site is fairly level, if you're staying hooked up, the sides of the pull through are sloped so you could be slightly unlevel side to side. If we are passing through Montreal again, or for a short stay, this is our new #1 choice.

I cannot believe this place is a journey and not a holiday. Definitely enough amenities for a journey. Beautiful pool, really unique park. The chickens were a nice surprise. Sites clean and very level. We had a torrential storm and there was no flooding of the site. We used this park as a parking ground for our rv while we enjoyed city of montreal. We should have stayed longer to actually enjoy the park more.we thought with a journey there wouldn't be much.but we were wrong.

Very bad staff. Spoke to a rude woman on the phone.
Don't recommend this place especially for people under 35. They seem to cater to old people and don't welcome younger adults

The worst campground we have ever stopped at…. If your looking for a bit quieter place to sleep maybe try the airport…
Between the 24-7 traffic.there are trains and lots of them…
Uber won’t come here
