Fiona was a wonderful tour guide. I was the only one showed up at the time but she still put her full heart during the tour:)

Interesting building, interesting tour. Worth the $ imo. Just make sure you find out the times for tours in your language of choice (French or English) so you can organise your schedule (tours run for around an hour but you can stay longer viewing the library, which is $5 on its own)

Le bâtiment est vraiment impressionnant, avec la belle bibliothèque et la prison au sous sol. Le seul point négatif, la dame qui nous a servit de guide avait beaucoup de difficulté à parler Français. On ne comprenait vraiment pas bien… On y retournerait mais avec un autre guide.

Our tour guide, Alex, was very informed and well spoken. The history of this place is incredible. A must visit!

Impressionnant quand on voit les photos. La visite est un peu longue et n'intéressera que les adultes ou les épris d'histoire. Bel accueil.

Nous avons fait la visite guidée hier, on regardais pour une activité différente à faite pour la fête des mères. Mon conjoint, moi et mes deux enfants de 12 et 9 ans. La guide était passionnée d’histoire, énergique, interessante et a su répondre à nos nombreuses questions. C’était intéressant du début à la fin. Visite des cellules de prison, salle de balle, classe de science, bibliothèque tout en agrémentant le tout de fait historique de le fabuleux parcourt de la statut de Wolfe qui trône aujourd’hui dans la bibliothèque. Merci encore ce fut très intéressant. Appeler pour vous informer il y a des visites en anglais et des visites en français.

Quintet de cordes pour un hommage a Radiohead. Tout simplement magique et fort en émotions. À conseiller à tout amoureux de la musique. Belle experience.

It was a very interesting tour. Painful to think that children as young as 7 could be sent to the jail. To be placed in total darkness would put me over the edge!
History should not be forgotten!

Très belle visite et Fiona notre guide en est pour beaucoup! Elle nous a diverti tout en nous cultivant sur ce lieu pendant une bonne heure. Il y a un contraste entre le côté bibliothèque/université et celui de la prison qui donne des frisons. Etrange de s'imaginer ce que ce lieu abritait. Une belle expérience à faire sur Québec (:

Had a Brilliant tour with Fiona. She really brought the story and history of the Morrin Centre to life. This is definitely a hidden gem in Quebec City, we had the tour to ourselves on a Sunday morning. Very interesting and amazing to see so much of the original fixtures and fittings still in place. We did a couple of other tours and this was by far the best in the city.

Le Morrin Centre est un endroit merveilleux pour un mariage d'une centaine de personnes. La salle de réception et la bibliothèque ont tellement de charme. Je me rappellerai toute ma vie de ce lieu magique et riche en histoire.

Super interesting historical site. Wished didn't have to wear a mask throughout the tour, very hot. Beside a beautiful stunning library. Cool facts and past. Tour guide super nice and charismatic. Wished we could explore more in the rooms during tour. Price is good.

My wife and I were recently married (and had our reception dinner) in the library at the Morrin Centre, and it was a thoroughly lovely experience. Their rental pricing was exceedingly reasonable. Our contact person at the Morrin Centre, Cynthia Bureau, was incredibly helpful and flexible in working with us as my now-wife and I planned our wedding across timezones and from another country. Cynthia also was very knowledgeable about the library and its history and gave the wedding guests a spooky jail tour. Additionally, if you like murder mysteries, you might be interested to know (as my mom was) that the Morrin Centre Library features prominently in Louise Penny’s Bury Your Dead. And once you see the library, you'll know why an author would want to set part of their mystery; it feels like a room from a different time and place.

All in all, I cannot recommend the Morrin Centre highly enough as a place to get married, hold some other event, or just to visit if you're in town! I will look back fondly on my time in their library for the rest of my days.

I purchased a membership prior to my trip specifically so I could visit outside of "regular" tour hours. Amazing place, beautifully organized, fascinating secret displays. I wish I'd had time for a longer stay. Friendly, courteous staff. Definitely book a tour if you can!

This was FANTASTIC! The tour is so worth the cost—lots of history, lots of interesting facts and such an amazing and entertaining tour guide!

Bonne sélection de pivres anglophones et un endroit tout indiqué pour relaxer après une promenade dans le Vieux-Québec.

Il existe (à mon souvenir) des visites guidées et il y a une possibilité de louer la grande salle pour des shootings photo.

Je recommande plusieurs visites, le décor est franchement enchanteur.

Got there a bit early for the tour. They told us to wait in the library. Guy at the library was super rude. Told us we couldn't sit. I voiced my discontent and he responded really rudely and sarcastically. Do not recommend. Tour was nice, though.

Le secret le mieux gardé du Vieux-Québec. La bibliothèque est tout simplement magnifique et parfaite pour aller étudier. Je recommande fortement la visite guidée pour découvrir l'historique des différents usages de ce bâtiment patrimonial.

My husband and I had a great time on our tour of the Morrin Centre. Our guide, Gabrielle, was such a treat. She kept things interesting and fun. There’s a ton of history in this library.

Very interesting place to visit with family members. The activities to do are diverse and employees are always in a good mood.

Took a guided one hour tour of the historical library and the ancient prison that was full of history.well worth the visit and our tour guide was ourstanding.

Beautiful old English library in Old Quebec! We were only able to visit the library section as they only run tours of the rest of the centre on Fridays, but still a lovely visit.

You have to take off your shoes in the back room before going upstairs so that you don't ruin the floors.

The Victorian Library is a must visit if you're in Quebec City, absolutely beautiful to be surrounded by such history!

Un endroit méconnu dans la ville, mais qui gagne à être connu. Un lieu historique, en y pénétrant on a l'impression de vivre un voyage dans le temps. Le personnel est très accueillant, si vous visitez durant l'hiver, pensez à apporter vos souliers pour visiter l'intérieur. Sinon des crocs sont disponibles au vestiaire.

C'était une très belle place pour manger! Les employés étaient très polies et souriants! Et la nourriture etait bonne!

Seul petit bemole, c'est le manque d'espace pour le vestiaire. Avec un aussi grans groupe que nous étions, c'était difficile de se changer! Mais si j'ai bien compris, c'était une sotuation exceptionelle!

Merci de nous avoir accueilli, ce fut très agréable! C'est une très belle place qui est bien entretenue!

Historical anglophone library/ college/ jail in the heart of old Quebec City. The tour was very informative and entertaining.
