Motel Chelsea

Absolutely stunning stay. The room was inviting and fun. Check-in and out were very easy. Absolutely loved our stay.

Super charming motel close to the Nordik. Loved how the space was very nicely curated with unique decor. Staff super friendly and food was so good. Totally worth the stay and will totally recommend to others.

The room was cute and well designed. The restaurant was super busy and there wasn't enough staff to take care of us. We waited for a long to for the server to come. She was overwhelmed but bought our drinks so that was nice. The food options were too experimental. The Karrage Chicken was so dry and inedible. My Chicken Kimchi burger was fine, but late at night I would have liked a simpler choice. I also think the rooms should have their own coffee maker. It was uncomfortable to get dressed and go out into the main building for coffee. I would also pay for bottled water if it was in the room. There was almost too much beer offered in the room. But I would try a stay again. These are all minor things.

We had a wonderful one night stay at the motel, in the Palms room. Loved the light box ceiling and the soaker tub. We picked some records from the cafe to play in out room. Perfect mini-vacation from Ottawa!

We always enjoy our stay at the Motel Chelsea. It is comfortable and we love the vibe. The staff is exceptionally kind and goes out of their way to accommodate us each time. We do wish Chelsea had a ride share or cab company to get us too and from town but that is no fault of the folks at the Motel.

Very cute place, but coffee maker is the cheapest on the market: a Betty Crocker. It didn't work properly, neither did the radio. There were flies and mosquitoes in the trailer, and an old and musty smell, so I ended up leaving after two hours. Asked for a partial or total refund, but was offered a free night in another room instead. I accepted because I was too shy to insist about wanting a refund, but I don't think I will be going back.
Very friendly staff, and again, incredibly cute place. Just don't rent the trailer and stick to the rooms, I guess.

Everything about our stay was great. Room was spotless and had really nice features. Staff was super helpful and friendly, would definitely come back.

Booked a stay for two nights after a recommendation from a friend, and we were not disappointed. I was very much looking forward to staying here and my expectations were exceeded. The superior customer service, clean rooms and public areas, and a warm and quirky atmosphere will bring me back!

They should call this the Chelsea boutique hotel because this is not a motel! Rooms are great, bathrooms are incredible but the service and people working there are the absolute best! My fiancé and I where there for the August long weekend for a wedding. The ladies working at the front desk where amazing about making sure our late (11: 45 pm) check in went well, offered us a room upgrade, answered every question we had. The amenities where fantastic, breakfast at the restaurant and a late night drink at the bar. Highly recommend and would definitely go back!

We went there for breakfast without the kids. The interior is really cute with retro deco, which I really like. The food and service was good.

We did not sleep there but the rooms also seem really well decorated and cozy (based on their website). We will definitly consider spending a night there without the kids just for the atmosphere and food. The bar seems like a romantic place to spend an evening.

They also have a small boutique to look around and shop.

Oh! And the italian sodas are good!

Motel Chelsea is a funky, fun motel with THE most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel/motel. The bedding is super high end and soft and the bathroom amenities are excellent. The design/decor of the room was superb. The first thing I did was put on a record! The shop was super cool as well. Next time I come, I will definitely eat at the restaurant! Highly recommend!

I had a great one-night stay at Motel Chelsea with my partner. We stayed Sunday-Monday, so the restaurant was closed for brunch (but we would have liked to try it). We stayed in the "Flamingo room. The wallpaper was fun! We thought the little items in the room added some quirky personality (the record player, funky fridge, etc.) The bathroom was actually REALLY nice. The rainfall shower was great, the vanity area was super well lit and the Dyson hair dryer was an unexpected luxury. Since we checked in outside of regular Sunday operating hours we did the remote/self-check-in option *which was super easy!

We would stay here again if we are in the area. It is less than a 10-minute drive to Old Chelsea and Gatineau Park. The only thing that would make this Motel better would be if it had some amenities (pool, hot tub, fire pit). But overall, it was a great value and it was fun to stay in a quirky room.

Franchement, je ne m’attendais pas à cela en louant dans un motel. J’ai fait plusieurs endroits dans le monde et j’essaie toujours d’éviter les motels, parce que c’est toujours très ordinaire, mais là, franchement c’est absolument magique et magnifique. I would have liked a full length mirror somewhere in the room. And though there were chairs outside the door there weren't any in the room. I loved having the accessible coffee room but the coffee maker was slow. Other than these few suggestions, we loved our stay. The bathroom was gorgeous and the Leonard Cohen theme was a very nice touch. I also loved the books and newspaper left in the room. The main restaurant was beautiful and comfortable and the french toast croissant with maple ice cream was to die for!

I chose this hotel based on reviews and price. When we arrived we parked at the back and we weren't sure where to enter. Even though there was a busy event going on the front clerk noticed us outside and came outside to greet us. Kate was very friendly and welcoming. We had the Leonard Cohen room and it was very cool. So many special touches. The bathroom was beautiful. Loved the shower. The Dyson hair dryer was lovely except now I want one.

The only small issue for me is I wish there was a chair in the room. There really isn't much room. I wake up early and it would be nice to have a place to sit other than in bed. Other than that the room was perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We unfortunately did not get to stay here due to the ice storm however the staff had notified me that they do not have power and provided updates as I was travelling from Ontario. They were so helpful, caring and assisted me with a refund since I had to cancel my stay. We were certainly looking forward to staying here based on how cute it looked.

We wanted to visit Nordik spa so I found this place through Expedia. I was expecting an old moldy smelling motel room and there we were in an apartment that has a retro style with rotary phone and record player that we actually used and provided an nostalgic experience from forty years ago! At the same time it is very modern in digital checking in and out, has charger everywhere. We literarily did not need anything else but our own clothes and had everything that we possibly wanted! Thank you many times over! The restaurant provided us with a wonderful farewell brunch that we enjoyed tremendously.

The motel was exactly as seen on their website. Comfortable and outfitted with every amenity to enjoy a relaxing weekend! All the little touches were noticed and appreciated- staff was super helpful and friendly too!

Superbe expérience client. La chambre est magnifique, propre et luxueuse. Le lit est immense et très confortable. Tout est rénové. J'aurais aimé une table/un bureau avec une chaise, mais l'espace est restreint donc on y va avec l'essentiel seulement: lit + salle de bain. Le réfrigérateur était bien froid en plus d'être dans le thème. J'ai beaucoup aimé l'expérience check-in/check-out sans interaction (autonome).

Love this restaurant and shop! The food and service is excellent. I live that there are many choices and they are fantastic quality. Can't beat the ambiance and service. Happy to have this gem in the region!

We had a wonderful stay at Motel Chelsea. Employees are very nice, decor is amazing and the rooms are very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was very good. Everything was very clean and convivial. Good place to stop after a biking day in the Gatineau park or after a spa day.
Small downside: The outdoor decor still needs a bit of tuning, and coffee and the in the room would be great (free coffee and tea available in the main bulding). But still, amazing place to stay!
Nous avons eu un séjour merveilleux au motel Chelsea. Les employés sont très gentils, le décor est magnifique et les chambres très comfortables. La nourriture au restaurant était délicieuse. Tout était très propre et chaleureux. Excellent endroit pour s'arrêter après une bonne journée de vélo dans le parc de la Gatineau, ou après une journée au spa.seuls bémols: le décor extérieur pourrait être plus raffiné et ce serait merveilleux d'avoir thé et café dans la chambre (ils sont disponible gratuitement dans le bâtiment principal). Malgré cela, c'est un magnifique endroit où rester!

The experience and atmosphere for a short getaway was amazing. Rooms are very comfortable and brings you back in the 70! We were a little disappointed with the dinner. My plate was very small and would have been more of an appetizer than a meal. Wish the waiter would have advised me of this. All in together, it was a really fun experience.

Amazing, charming eclectic accommodations in a quiet spot, close to Chelsea, Wakefield, and across from Gatineau park. From the staff to the room to the food (highly recommend!), it was an eclectic wonderful experience just perfect for us adventuring in the area. The updated retro rooms were top notch. The little store was full of great locally sourced items. Definitely recommend if you want a quieter, sophisticated, laid back restful stay.
