Mount Royal Park

Great park, visited in winter, so many kids tobogganing, sliding, there is also skating rink, a Cafe for some hot drinks. It was really fun to there.

We got there on new year’s day, we wanted to ice skating. The rental salon was closed due to holidays but the rank eas open and we enjoyed it a lot.

There are many opinions to reach the esplanade at the top. All very viable and interesting. But if you go in cold weather it is best to leave your car in some of the parking lots. Maximum paid time is 14 dollars. You can park on the street behind the main driveway. But it's at your risk.
Upstairs the plaza is wide and the viewpoint covers 360 degrees of view. You can see where you are looking by simply reading the guide arrows along the railing.
There is a huge lounge with chairs. Tables and some sofas. If it's summer you take refuge from the heat, if it's winter from the brutal wind that blows outside. There is a cafeteria, bathrooms, gift shop, and a Tourist Information Center. Look up and admire the coffered ceiling. There are figures of squirrels at each end of the wooden buttresses.

Énorme parc, super endroit pour se poser à l’ombre et se reposer. Gros plus pour la balade en bateau, super conseillé si vous souhaitez passer un bon moment

Parc très convivial, familial. Si l'on veut s'échapper de la ville, c'est là qu'il faut se rendre. Dépaysement assuré. Très beau point de vue sur Montréal. Marche, vélo, footing, ski, patinage.a chaque fois que je me rend à Montréal, je vais me balader sur le mont royal. Lac aux castors à faire. Je recommande.

Super patinoire toujours belle! Mais juste un petit hic cette année prévoir mettre vos patins à l'extérieur faute de la covid-19.

The top of the mountain has a great view of the Montreal. Definitely recommend. If you are driving here, you can find paid parking very close or drive to the top of the mountain and park for free

Superbe parc avec activités (patinoire, piste de luge, descente en bouée sur neige.)
Énormément d'écureuils dans tout le parc que l'on peut approcher à moins d'un mètre pour certains (interdiction de les nourrir ils ont tout ce qu'il faut pour se nourrir par eux-mêmes).
Superbes vues sur la ville depuis 2 belvédères.

C'est grand, très arboré et il y a beaucoup de vie, plusieurs points de vue imprenable sur la ville et un petit étang au milieu entouré de promenades, de bancs et de lieux pour se reposer. Pas mal de dénivelé si vous comptez monter à pied mais ça en vaut la peine!

Le poumon de Montréal, une destination incontournable pour les adeptes plein air, cyclisme, course à pied et même la photographie.

En plein centre de Montréal, il y en a pour tout les goûts! Vélo, marche, jogging, ski de fond, raquette.pleins de sentiers.toujours agréable de s'y rendre!

Un parc grandiose et propre, plein d'endroits à voir, de la place pour marcher et faire des balades sans passer par le même chemin. Aller à Montréal sans aller à mont Royal serai une erreur

Great view of the city, there is some parking spots at the top where you can have a nice panoramic view of the city. You can hike up or drive to the top or hike down

Beautiful area. Can use different trails amazing view when you reach the top. I didnt feel safe with some cyclist going too fast in a popular pedestrian area tho. But I highly recommend this place.

Excellent endroit pour un pique-nique, faire de la randonnée, de la bicyclette, prendre une marche, une pause pour son bien-être, apporter une couverture et un bon livre. Les feuilles commencent à changer de couleur.

Always few weird rating a park but this place was beautiful! As a tourist it was such a lovely change from the city and beautiful views at the look off. A good size walk and beautiful scenery throughout. Would definitely return next time I visit.

Best place to go for a morning or evening walk. It's a small hill situated at the center of the city. You can have a breathtaking view Montreal downtown. Open almost till 11 pm. Car goes upto the top of hill

Great spot for a view of the city. If you are biking or hiking, it's challenging to get up here but once you are, you won't be dissappointed

Walking, or running, to the lookout was a great workout - the Montreal version of the Grouse Grind if you take the stairs rather than the more gradual trail. Trail is a terrific bike. View from the top is worth the trip. Having a food and bev service that takes advantage of the view would make it a killer attraction.

Never been inside the chalet tho but I've explore all of the trails and this is really worthy. I learned that it's the Central Park Designer who design this parc and I'm sorry but our park is better. You really feel like you're not in the city in there that's awesome for a gateway without going to far away.

Absolutely, great place to see entire Montreal. I would recommend this park, many other nice monuments around the park. Just depends how far you are willing to walk.

A voir absolument après une bonne montée à pied la récompense! La vue est magnifique! Il faut y aller de préférence le matin de bonne heure afin d'éviter la foule si vous voulez être tranquil

Superbe lieu, avec une vue sur la ville.
Un espace très bien aménagé pour faire de belle balades dans le parc, au printemps des parterres de fleurs embellissent le lieu.
À visiter absolument, et avec les enfants en toute sécurité, bonne visite

Jaw dropping view of the city - especially at night with the twinkling lights. There is a small parking lot at the top if you drive. It’s about a 45 minute hike to the top. Lovey snowy or summer time.

Best views in the city, I actually get taken back in time when I stand on the veranda of the chateau, and can feel the old spirits who have lived there

Spectacular view of Montreal. I highly recommend both the day and night view. The Chalet is a wonderful cozy place to rest, read, and get a snack. Great place to walk around and enjoy nature.

Incontournable à Montréal. Beau point de vue sur la ville. Le coin rêvé pour courir et faire du vélo. Belle promenade en pleine nature à quelques encablures des buildings.

Parc réalisé par le même Paysagiste que celui qui a créé Central Park à New York.magnifique endroit de promenade, de parcours sportif, de détente quelques soit la saison.la "Montagne" est à l'image de la ville qui porte son nom toujours quelques chose à découvrir ou à faire quelques soit la saison Hiver Printemps Été Automne, ne serait-ce que par exemple prendre une marche en fin de journée après le travail, prendre une grande respiration, fermer les yeux et profiter du moment présent, dans le calme, la plénitude de l'écoute des chants des oiseaux. On a l'air si loin des bruits et de l'énergie urbaine qui pourtant est toute proche. Facile d'accès en auto, en transport en commun, et pour les plus sportif d'entre nous en vélo ou à pied par le parcours constitué de marches d'escaliers qui vous amènera jusqu'en haut.
Endroit féerique le soir, j'ai eu le privilège de participer à un mariage là-bas suivi du vin d'honneur et du repas de mariage avec le ciel étoilé au dessus de nous et les lumière de la ville en dessous comme seul témoin de cet événement.

Great views of the city all year round. Bring a picnic or try the food on site.basic stuff. Great hiking spot with lots of trails. Parking is not free. Lots to do no matter the weather. Do not recommend walking up the road from the bottom though.can be dangerous with cars busses and cyclists all sharing the space

One of the best place in montreal to go if your a tourist or a traveler. Or if your a local person, this place is the most " nature friendly " area in the entire city. Paths are well made for everyone to walk or to jog or to hike.or to ski during winter. In summer time, you can BBQ with your family.or simply walk and take pictures of nature.or simply rest and tan your awesome body on the Hills or Lac Des Castors. There is also a place where you can see the city view of Montreal if you walk all the way up to the north side (just follow everyone). There, you can take pictures and enjoy the view as family, friends.or as a couple in love. It's very beautiful either in summer, spring, fall or even winter.

Magnifiques vues sur les belvédaires et un parc très bien aménagé en plein coeur de Montréal. Pour un compromis plein air tout en restant en ville, c'est le meilleur endroit!

These were great and well maintained trails all through the mountain. Make sure to get up to the point or the cross near the top, great views of the city if you are not from around MTL. Can see myself walking these daily if I lived here.

Été comme hiver j'y viens me détendre seule ou avec les enfants. Des bon petits moments qui coûtent pas cher. Avec la location de patins on s'est bien amusé.

Si votre horaire est très chargé, pensez à ce parc en plein centre ville pour des micro-vacances.

I was left breathless when I arrived to the top, not just because of all the steps to get there but because of the view. It was nice to sit on the steps or on one of the few chairs they had and enjoy the view of the city. It was hard to find any soda pop but found a couple machines in the basement by the bathrooms, but well worth the sweet taste of a cold Pepsi.
