We went there 3 times. Food is excellent. The reason why I put only 2 stars is because of the service. I was not impressed the 2 first times but that was ok, not great, not bad. The 3rd time, we booked the table, arrived on time and the restaurant was full. That is ok, we can wait. They showed us where we were going to seat as guests were paying their bill. Fine. A new group of customers entered the restaurant, clearly people who are used to eat there. They arrived 10 minutes after us and, apparently, they also had a booking at the same time than us (they were late). As soon as "our" table was free, the waitress proposed them to seat at "our" table without even looking at us or without saying one word. When we asked her whether it was a mistake, she told us we can wait a bit longer, there will be a new table soon. That is elegant. Not a great experience. Regarding the atmosphere, in the evening it tends to be quite dark. A bit more light would be nice.
Had an incredible dining experience at lunch. The lobster bisque and pistachio tartuffo were hands down the best I have ever had. Veal and pasta were cooked to perfection. Service was quick and staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The chef even came to see us. I cannot recommend Natalino enough and will be back!
We chose Natalino’s for a family celebration event. We were a group of 16-18 persons so we went with the group menu. Having eating at this resto before, we already knew that it has good food and ambience. The section where we were seated was nice and secluded which made it itimate. Add to that our assigned server Conner was very attentive, always within reach if any thing was needed, and seamlessly made sure our guests were all attended to. Portion sizes were good, birthday cake delish! Came out feeling satified, our guests all had only positive feedback. Will definitely be back and recommend.
This is one of the best restaurants in Dorval. Traditional and classy. Food is delicious, great cocktails, service on point and a cozy atmosphere. It doesn't get better than this. Highly recommended!
Natalino's has been a Dorval neighborhood restaurant, on a quiet section of Lakeshore Blvd, for decades and a favored place to go for classic (and quiet) Italian meals. The ambiance is subdued with dark wood trims and low ceilings in keeping with the quiet atmosphere. The menu is extensive per a traditional Italian restaurant although we visited on Valentine's Day so could only select from the Prix Fixe menu. In this case we had Romain Hearts with Pears and a Blue Cheese Vinaigrette (very tasty, the blue cheese was not overpowering and off set by the sweetness of the pear), braised beef stuffed cannelloni (delicious), giant shrimp with crispy rice (very good) and lobster tail linguine (excellent). Absolutely no complaints. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Enjoy!
J’aime bien ce restaurant italien, la nourriture est savoureuse, les cocktails variés et même fait sur mesure si l’on veut et le décor champêtre est tres joli
Went here last night for an intimate dinner date. My boyfriend ordered the veal parm and I had the linguine vongole. We also had the house wine (red), and two appetizers, of which we LOVED the mushroom bruschetta. The food tasted great on the whole - you could tell it was made with high-quality ingredients. Also, the service was excellent and we didn't feel rushed at all. The charmingly rustic atmosphere added to the experience. Thank you Natalino!
Went for a Christmas party. The upstairs was very nice, tastefully decorated with a jovial atmosphere. Downstairs appears more quiet and reserved for a more intimate setting. Food was great, maybe too much so as one might find the portions to be on the light side, when really you just can't get enough! Will be going again sometime.
We were a group of 28 for our Xmas lunch on Dec 14th. The room upstairs was reserved for us. Food was top quality, service was amazing and very well priced. A big thank you to Matthew the manager for setting us all up and to Giovanni and his team for the service during our lunch. We will definitely be back. Merry Xmas to all of you.
The food at this place was delicious, especially the pastas. We went here for dinner of 7 and was able to get a reservation a few hours earlier. Took a long time to get food. Service from the girl was okay, but she could have been more polite.
I was invited to 2 separate parties here in the past 3 months and had the same result, absolutely terrible. It took forever just to get drinks once the party began. The pasta sauce was tasteless, the salad (aka lettuce on a plate) just tasted like salt and the chicken parm tasted like it was freezer burned. The veal was rubbery and had no taste. There wasn’t one person around me who finished their meal and everyone had the same reaction to the food. Plus one waiter was extremely nonchalant and unprofessional, taking orders by pointing at clients with his pen, saying “sup” to them. Never going back.
First time, wow it was very good, really enjoyed my evening, it was very good in a relaxing environment. Nice to be around costomers respectful witch now is unfortunately rare.if your in a hurry to eat wrong place but you want to take your time and enjoys this is the place.
Lovely restaurant in Dorval. Passed by it many times on our walks along the Lakeshore and finally decided to try it. The outdoor eating option on the front covered bacony is really great. It was fun to watch people in their fancy convertible cars drive by while we enjoyed our dinner. The service was great and very attentive. The Minestrone soup was full of seasonal veggies and quite delicious. The calamari was very yummy with that fantastic basil aioli dipping sauce. The fried zucchini was also very tasty. For the main courses, we had the veal parmigiana, the grilled salmon and our kids had the Americano pizza. All the dishes were good and the whole family seemed very satisfied. It was a memorable evening since my husband and I were celebrating our 19th wedding Anniversary. One of the waiters was kind enough to snap a quick picture of us which turned out fantastic. Here's a quick little story.almost 14 years ago, I was about 8 months pregnant with my firstborn and my husband and I were doing our usual health walk along the Lakeshore. I really needed to get to a washroom and the kind staff at Natalino let me do so because of my pregnant state. I will never forget that simple act of kindness. So happy we were able now to visit with both our children and enjoy a lovely meal with the family at your restaurant.
Great food, outstanding service and attention to detail. Very accommodating for getting a table, menu options, etc. Extremely friendly. Pick anything off the menu.superb! Back numerous times now. See you at Natalino’s.
Finally some well-italian-made pizzas. After many attempts while traveling in North America. Prices are very reasonable for the very good quality. The pasta plates looked also tasty.
We took our company to this restaurant to kick off a Regional Meeting. I had never been there and was counting on my online search to carry my decision. Once I walked in I realized I chose perfectly. Matthew helped coordinate things from 1000 miles away and was professional and personable at the same time. One of the few remaining REAL Italian restaurants. Everything is made to order, the owner (I met him in the kitchen) oversees every meal that is cooked, which is rare these days. His personal touch is evident. The food was amazing, and the service was so so family oriented. I felt like I was coming here for years. If you are in Montreal or anywhere for that matter, stop by, ask for Matthew, tell him Joe sent you. You won’t regret it!
Food was OK, not more than that. We had a set menu because we were a large group, and the price was very reasonable. The place was clean, staff was pleasant.
Great service however: - Portions on Valentine’s Day were very small - Food didn’t taste fresh - set menu with limited options but when called for a reservation was not notified of this -Bread at beginning tasted stale and desserts at the end as well. -Was very excited to go back to this restaurant to only find it disappointing.
The set menu was expensive, granted so because of Valentine’s Day however to have an expensive bill and be dissatisfied leaves a bitter taste in my mouth for this restaurant.
It was my first time there and it will not be my last. In my opinion the closest to the real food from Italy as you can get. I had the peperonata appetizer it was to die for my pasta was perfectly cooked. Also the most attentive wait staff I had ever had. My new favorite Italian restaurant
Great food and service. Would recommend if you are in the area. Had the veal and tasted the parmigian chicken, both were excellent. Expect to pay around 40$ for food. Excellent drinks also, would recommend the expresso martini to coffee lovers!
