Worst experience within a branch ever!

M. Nicholas Boutsalis and Mrs. Trang Huynh literally provided the worst service ever. We were told to go elsewhere as they cannot verify our identity after providing all the IDs required and answering security questions. They felt entitled to act in this manner simply because we asked why it is so complicated to close an account. That seemed to upset them. Their vendetta did not stop here. After initially closing our account, M. Boutsalis decided to reverse his decision and this froze the account for at least 2 business days without the ability to access any funds. My wife was told to leave while her IDs were thrown on the counter: "We do not know you! You do not live here! Go back to your branch! " (keep in mind that 'her' branch does not exist anymore as the account was opened 16 years ago). The complete fiasco was probably caused by her driving license serial number being incorrect in the National Bank system (learned that later). Definitely not the client's fault (probably her beginner driving license has a different serial number). Either way, this security issue does not excuse the abuse of power of these two bank tellers and the complete lack of professionalism! We are deeply concerned and very disappointed by service received! The story does not end here as the National Bank complaints system is inexistent! At the branch level we have asked to be called by the branch manager! That never happened as you may guess because the tellers probably never informed the manager about this situation. You have to call National Bank client services and start a complaint there. However, it seems that when you get the call back from a supervisor nothing changes. Same bad attitude from M. Gabriel Childs. He claimed that there are no superiors above him and that the branch has to manage this complaint, not him.

The National Bank should revisit their training programs.

Disclaimer: I am not personally a National Bank client (my wife was for the past 16 years), but after this horrible experience, I will definitely never be one!

It has been my bank for the last 17 years. Never had a problem. Always had a good service.

Les employées donnent vraiment l'impression comme si on leur dérangeait et qu'elles ne veulent pas nous aider. Et quand on leur parle, elles n'écoutent pas et compliquent les choses les plus simples.

Aujourd'hui en était un exemple. Malgré notre calme et politesse, les deux employées qu'on a croisées ont été désagréables.
Surtout la deuxième employée nous a donné de l'attitude tout au long de l'interaction. En plus de compliquer les choses, elle avait beaucoup d'aggressivité et de condescendance dans son ton, ses paroles et dans son non-verbal.

J'écris ce commentaire pour avertir ceux qui pensent faire affaire avec la Banque Nationale, surtout cette succursale.
Sauvez-vous les maux de tête, parce qu'on le sait tous, cette compagnie s'en fout des commentaires des gens et il n'y aura aucune modification dans leur service pourri.
