The service was appalling. I went to get a bank draft, and it took me an hour at the counter. She changed the version of the rules 3 times in order not to help me. I took a mortage with NBC and she told me that I have to go to another branch to get the bank draft done for the deposit. First she told me it will take 3 days to get it done here, then after 5 mins, she said 5 days. I told her I will still do it here, no worries, her tone changed and she told me it will take more than a week to get it done, and it is protocol. I had to call my finance advisor to explain this right away, and someone higher contacted the branch director to get things done. Her tone changed, and she did the bank draft for me immediately. I believe there was a jugement on my physical appearance. She tried to be nice to me with an excuse of, she wanted to make sure I was really who I said I was. 40 mins, seriously. The is a difference between tight verification and being unhelpful and rude. There were 2 of them. First time I am getting a service like this at an NBC branch. I will not generalize. Thanks for educating your staffs to treat people fairely, not based on physical appearance. After seeing other reviews now, it is clearly not an isolated case.
