This place is like a really upscale Cosmos. The breakfast sandwich is incredible (coming from a guy that typically isn’t all that impressed by breakfast sandwiches).

Good coffee, fresh and tasty sandwich with baked potato. Friendly staff.
The only complaint is cash only with the ATM in the restaurant.

I came because they had a post on Facebook about BBQ from 11 to end of stock. Montreal and most of Quebec lost power because of a major ice storm. I came to check the place out, and it has a very nice 60-70’s dinner feel to it. The coffee is very good and people are enjoying their food. I shared some pictures of how the place looks. The door is flushed with the group so it’s wheelchair accessible.

As a substitute teacher, your lunch options are very clear: bring a bag, or hit the town. It's a roll of the dice each time you hit that maps search for restaurants closest to the school at which you find yourself that day. All this to say, I was pleasantly surprised to find such a gem within a 7 minute walk of a public school. Who knew? Obviously the locals who poured in at, well, lunchtime. Is there any other expectation for a luncheonette? I am not familiar with the term, but apparently they also serve breakfast anytime you fancy. It felt like a meticulously cleaned and refined version of a neighbourhood diner. Obviously the chef put great care into each item on the menu crafting, shaping, and building each hotdog or sandwich with the dedication of higher priced dining experiences. I had the egg salad. Wonderfully seasoned, fresh dill, potato chips on the side. Perfect. They only take cash which left me scrambling to stay without having to wash dishes for my meal. But it was worth the scramble.

Overpriced, food was greasy, service was slow. Was hyped to see that something was finally opening where the old school italian bar was, but was disappointed it really feels like the beginning of gentrification of what's left of this part of the hood.

The full breakfast was divine. Beautiful thick bacon, homemade beans, a real grilled sausage, creamy scrambled eggs with chives, homemade cubed potatoes and toasted rye bread. The coffee is served in a variety of random cups, very cute. The portion was generous, and the service was casual and charming.
It's a small space. If you're a group of 5 or more be prepared to be spread out, some at the booths others at the counter.
A great addition to the hood!

Cute new place on the corner! I'm happy to have a local breakfast spot just a few steps from my front door in my neighborhood. I had the bagel lox with house smoked salmon and it was very tasty with a fresh soft bagel (could have used more dill.)

The location just opened in the past two weeks and it is cute, but a bit too fresh and new and shiny. It needs to be around a bit longer to really achieve that local diner vibe. People should go eat there to help break it in!:)

Our neighbourhood diner has finally opened! It is a great place for a meal out for those in the area. We celebrated the new year by a short walk, then gathering in a comfortable red booth overlooking the goings-on. A vintage refrigerator, decor and as well as with the silver diner walls behind the counter with stools has that '50's look. The service was fast, friendly, the food was tasty, well presented, and reasonably priced. Lourdes, our waitress, was helpful in a dietary request. We ordered an egg salad sandwich, a tuna sandwich, as well as a 'NDG burger' with secret sauce [ which is very good! ] and the popular' JJ breakfast plate' accompanied with good coffee. It is indeed a fine diner and a very welcome addition to NDG.
