Nickels Deli - Dorval

Good place for a quick bite to eat, service is always kind, they've stepped up recently and I've got to say the food is delicious.

Not bad at all they have a good lunch menu. Seem they are accustomed to people coming on a lunch break they have fast service. It's your regular deli restaurant.

My family and I used to love this place.until today. I ordered a pizzagetti and the spaghetti just did not taste like anything. The sauce was too bland and the pizza were burnt.: (

My mom ordered the fillet of sole- and I just tried to share her plate to compensate and it was also awful. The fish tasted like it came from the freezer, then microwaved then served.

The server, however, was amazing. Unfortunately was not able to take his name, but, to the tall server- you rocked!

Serveur hors paire qui nous a très bien servit suite à notre départ d'un autre restaurant du coin où après 1h15 nous avions quitter car toujours pas servit.
Ce serveur a su redémarrer notre soirée.

Première fois à manger dans un Nickels. Super bon, belles assiettes, bon service, restaurant et toilettes très propres. Je recommande.

Awful waitress demanded for $5.00 tip on $25.00 breakfast, I was trying to tip $4.00 which is higher than 15%. Never going back, awful service!

Terrible and rude service on Mother’s Day. Mess up the orders and blame the customer for too many modifications? Lol. Never come back for coffee refills?

My kids and I always love eating here. The food is great and well priced. The staff are all very friendly and quick. Just want to give a shout out to Regina. She is always so sweet and nice. Even when she isn't our waiter/waitress, she always comes by to say hi. The only complaint I have, are the french fries. They used to be so good. I even went to Nickels because I craved the fries. They now have new ones and they taste dry and too salty. Please bring back the old fries!

My wife & I went there for b'fast. Waitress was abrupt with us & after I paid for order she didn't even say "thanks" or "Hope to see you again! Have a nice day! " She just walked away. Will possibly think twice before returning.

ABSOLUMENT RIDICULE.remplacer ton thé qui est inclus dans ton repas par une tisane 3,49$ d'extra plus taxes! Un simple petit sachet de tisane en remplacement d'un sachet de thé qui à la base est inclus.chaque changement que tu fais dans leur menu ils te chargent un montant qui n'a aucun sens.du vrai vol!

Food was good, service not so much. Called ahead, was told 20-30 mins. Arrived and person who took the order forgot to put it into the kitchen. Waited another 30 mins. Then I get to the hotel and no cutlery with it.

This is my favorite place for smoked meat. We order once at least a month from the office, we take out and we go there occasionally. I know the place very well and my boss also knows the place very well for a long time. I can comfortably say that this is the best place at Dorval for dine in. Stop.

My favorite is smoked meat lean sliced. I can advice the burgers, Filet Mignon and Poutines as well as all the smoked meat menu. Others, meh, standard spaghetti, hamburger steak, brochettes etc. It tasted like they use the same salty (sodium nitrate meat sauce) conserved meat sauce for the hamburger steak like the ordinary pizza stores, so I personally did not like it. It was nearly 3 years ago, I did not eat that again, so if they have changed the way they do it my apologies.

The servers are nice ladies for a long time, which shows that they don't have staff changing every two months, that's also good. You can always see a few Ubereats drivers waiting for their orders, so it is a busy place for orders. You can also order from SkipTheDishes.

The place is a cozy, warm place, quiet enough to meet someone to talk business or have a peaceful lunch at your break. If you ask smoked meat they prepare it in 2-3 minutes, so you can even catch the bus:)

OK, now the bad things:
The portions on take out / dine in and order are NOT the same! Moreover, not only me but my friends at the office are saying the same thing, the portions are getting smaller every year. If you order you have to note that you need extra 2 slices of bread at least. Though, it depends on your appetite. One thing is certain and main reason for me to write this review is their FRIES! They are not even fries! Any pizza store or cantine, buffet can do better. This is totally a shame. The fries are not golden but brown, they are small like your pinkies, and soft not crisp. It kills your joy when you have it on the side of those delicious smoked meat or hamburger. You can only make a poutine with those fries, they are like my mothers fries done in 3 mins on the black pan with small amount of oil. Fries are not done like that, and if you are doing them like that don't call yourself a chef! That's it.
Go there, order. You will not be frustrated if you are not a fry freak like me:)

Trop cher pour la portion. Je ne reviendrai jamais! Supposé steak vieilli.tellement raide qu'il n'est pas possible de le couper, l'assiette remplie d'eau des légume, la plus grande déception de ma vie pour un restaurant

Explain to me how wrapping up the whole sandwich in tinfoil for take out is logical. Essentially turning the bread to a soggy goop my the time you get anywhere. Take out smoke meat should have the meat and bread separately packaged.disgusting

Absolutely horrible. Slow service. Bad food. No standards. Being charged these prices when they have dead fruit flys in the vinager.

The last time I went in December I was seated with a younger waitress and my meal and experience was amazing making me want to return with friends so they could experience it too. (Shoutout to the younger blonde waitress you were amazing)

But for some reason when I went last night the older waitress was extremely rude to friends of mine. They asked for condiments and she made a comment about walking back and forth when she could just go once. One of our appetizers was undercooked “calamari” and had mentioned it was a bit rubbery. (They now have food poisoning). They waitress then proceeded to tell one of my friends how much he is supposed to tip her and just stood there demanding her tip. To top it all off she took her mask down and started coughing. Thank god our food was gone by that point and we had our our masks back on. I honestly really enjoyed my time in December but last nights experience really turned me off from going back and I don’t think I will be returning.

I went to nickels Dorval last Saturday. I begin with we weren’t asked for VaxiCodes. We ordered our food and received the entre which was calamari. The food was under cooked and I asked the waitress if she can cook it longer. She told me no that’s how it’s made. I eat calamari often so I know when it’s under cooked. Terrible service at its finest right of the bat. We get our main meal and I asked the waitress to bring me mayonnaise and she told me I should of asked earlier so she does have to walk that much in a day. Then we ask for the bill and she comes back with machine and takes off mask and start coughing with her mask off. So me and my friends put all of our masks on. Then I paid and gave her a 5$ Tip due to the horrible service and then she insisted that I give her a 15% tip. She put our lives at ricks with coughing during a pandemic. I called the manager and they proceeded to do nothing about the situation. I’m very disappointed. I spent close to 100$ for a terrible experience and I demand to get a full refund.

Vendredi 17 decembre 2021.16h30.nickels dorval.dès notre arrivé la serveuse qui nous a accueilli bête comme ses pieds ne dit pas bonjour et demande directement nos preuves vaccinale.nous lui montrons nos preuves elle devient impatiente envers ma mère (79 ans alzheimer) disons que j'ai pogné l'air bête envers la serveuse.elle nous conduit à une table toujours avec son bel air bête elle nous demande si ont veut boire quelque chose ont lui répond de l'eau svp, 10 min plus tard elle arrive avec des verres remplis de glace et très peu d'eau le goût était affreux.j'ai commandé l'assiette avec juste un sandwich smoke meet la viande goûtait le jambon tremper dans de l'eau.au moment de enfin passer la commande la serveuse à été bête et désagréable avec nous àchaquemots qu'on disait.quand j'ai enfin pus payé la facture je n'ai pas laissé de pourboire la serveuse nous a carrément crier dessus.je lui ai dit que son comportement son air bête et son agressivité verbale ne méritait pas de pourboire elle à hurlé et elle est partie.la serveuse était une blonde qui avait l'air d'être dans la cinquantaine.je déconseille fortement ce resto faite vous livrer à la place car les livreurs des resto sont plus polies
