Nordik Spa-Nature Chelsea

Love Nordik, have been in all seasons and I think winter is my favorite. Great facilities, everything is constantly being cleaned. Fresh towels and robes when you need them, the Aufguss ceremonies are amazing. Wonderful way to spend the day. Please make sure your car registration is upto date if you're from Ontario. Notorious place to get a high value ticket.

I really hate having to rate the Nordik so low because it is phenomenal. Unfortunately, local cops in the area have targeted Ontario plates parked at the Nordik so much that they now have a reputation of being there to try and ticket $500 to any car with stickers (even though we don't use them anymore). They also charge if you forgot to go online and renew the plates for free (even though Service Ontario admitted they stopped sending reminders and just didn't tell everyone). I have seen multiple posts in social media channels of people who will no longer go to Nordik because of this. There are hundreds of people that have been affected. This is Quebec cops taking advantage of a transitionary time for Ontarians and targeting the very people who are spending their hard earned Ontario dollars in their province. It is disgusting of them. Nordik should contact them because they are losing business over this. Including mine.

Always an amazing experience. My spouse and I went at least five times last year. We couldn’t wait to come back this year yesterday we went for our anniversary and when we let staff know that it was our anniversary they were super nice and gave us two drink vouchers for free drink on them. This definitely helped make the experience more special, the facilities are always clean. The pools are always spotless in the atmosphere is always great staff are super friendly and accommodating. We used both of the restaurants there and absolutely loved our food 10 out of 10 would recommend my favourite sandwich. There is the pulled brisket sandwich. It is absolutely to die for! The experience at the Nordic is so relaxing and stress free you may need to have a nap before you leave. They have many places this can happen.
The thermal experience is wonderful the food is what you would expect in a spa setting. The staff enjoy working and are excellent at making sure you are having your best experience.
I wish my busy life would allow me to go monthly but as it is every few months will have to get me by.

On May 21st, 2022, I had intended to visit the Nordik Spa in Quebec; however, unforeseen severe weather conditions in the region necessitated the temporary closure of all facilities, and emergency alerts were issued to mobile devices. Despite having traveled for eight hours from my residence, when I eventually managed to contact the spa following the closure, they declined to issue a refund and instead advised me to return at a later date.

I subsequently revisited the Nordik Spa on July 2nd, 2022. Upon returning to my vehicle, I received no prior notice of the infraction on the physical vehicle, nor did I observe any signage within the parking lot indicating municipal governance.

I find it also worth noting that on December 15th of 2022, I discovered that the Nordik Spa retained my credit card information from July 2nd, 2022 and made a fraudulent transaction months after my visit that they refused to reverse. My credit card company had to dispute the charges on my behalf.

On the evening of January 25th, 2023, I was notified to retrieve a package from my local Canada Post office. The package was collected on January 26th, 2023, and contained information regarding an infraction dating back to July 2nd, 2022. With a total of $494.

Upon receiving this infraction notice, I promptly contacted the local law enforcement authorities. They diligently examined the provided information and expressed their concerns about the unusual delay in receiving such an infraction, which had transpired more than six months after the alleged incident.

Furthermore, they indicated that they were not familiar with the entity referred to as the "MRC. " In response to this development, they advised me to visit Service Ontario to verify the current status of my license plates, as they detected no apparent discrepancies from their end.

Subsequently, I visited Service Ontario, where I was informed that both my driver's license and license plates were valid until 2024, and 2028, respectively. On January 26th, 2023, I promptly submitted a plea of not guilty via express mail and paid a fee of $28.34 to ensure the plea and a written letter were expedited and received promptly.

I wish to emphasize my consistent compliance with all licensing and registration requirements. In April of 2022, I received a plate renewal refund from the Ontario Government, which was contingent upon the absence of outstanding fees, fines, or tolls. Additionally, I have maintained continuous insurance coverage with the same provider since 2013. On August 5th, 2022 (about a month after the alleged infraction), I renewed my physical G driver's license, paid the $90 renewal fee and updated my photograph through my local Service Ontario.

What was intended to be a trip for relaxation and tranquility has been marred by the receipt of an infraction notice over six months after the alleged incident and the on-going resolution process. It has placed a significant burden on my well-being.

Nordic Spa in Chelsea is so beautiful. The atmosphere and variety of spaces allow for ample amount of relaxation. Remember to eat before you arrive, the food and drink is over priced and not worth the money.

J'ai Booker pour un massage Intensité de 60min en Nature et c'était formidable. C'était Guylaine qui a fait mon massage, elle a fait une super job, elle a écouter et compris se que je voulais. Elle était super professionnelle et elle m'a mis à l'aise tout de suite en partant.

Le massage en nature est une super idée, entendre les bruits de la nature rajoute à l'expérience!

Overall, c'était une expérience formidable!

We have been to the spa before and loved it. Our expectations were high because of how much we enjoyed our last visit, which was 4 years ago.

We were disappointed with the number of people visiting that day - it was very busy and hard to find space to relax and unwind in between treatments, especially when we had to pay an extra fee to use the baths between 2 $130 treatment appointments (we felt bath access should really be included with 2+ treatments, 3 hours apart). There were far too many people, and it really took away from the overall experience. The locker rooms also need a lot of work. The women's locker room was VERY hot and had ONE working hair dryer. We had dinner reservations after our day at the spa, to which I had to leave with soaking wet hair pulled into a pony tail because the one hair dryer that worked decently well was in use. Even if the hair dryer worked, it would have been far too hot in the change room to dry my hair without being a sweaty mess. For a spa of this calibre, I expected nicer amenities to end the day. Although we enjoyed our day, we both felt we wouldn't rush back due to the number of people and the change room frustrations.

Visited Nordik Spa in Gatineau and had mixed feelings about the experience. On the positive side, the scenery was stunning, and the decor was tastefully done, enhancing the overall ambiance.

However, the main downside was the overcrowding. Despite the impression given during booking that they manage attendance, it was quite the opposite. The facility felt jam-packed, and everything, from pools to relaxation areas, was consistently full.

The steaming "rituals" advertised seemed promising, but unfortunately, many were not operational during our visit, leaving us somewhat disappointed.

While the staff works hard to create a unique experience, it felt like a standard spa day, making the entry price hard to justify. It's clear they aim for a special ambiance, but the reality didn't align with the expectation set during booking.

In summary, Nordik Spa offers a beautiful setting but struggles with managing crowds and delivering on the promised unique experience, making the high entry cost a bit challenging to swallow.

We were highly recommended us to try the Nordik Spa. My family (5 adults total) booked a visit to celebrate my parent's 30th wedding anniversary.

First disappointment - Facilities (Steam showers) were closed and the construction made the spa not as enjoyable and we were discouraged to see that they would still charge full rate despite a crucial part of their spa not working.

Second - The food at their restaurant was limited in selection and the taste was not good. The quality of the ingredients were questionable and the food was not enjoyable.

Third - It was a mission to get clean towels and the spa was extremely busy. This made it really difficult to enjoy the saunas together as every room was always full and could not accommdate my entire family. I would avoid this place if you're looking to do a group visit. It seems to only be suited for couples and even then, it is hard to find space on a weekend.

Overall, I do not recommend this spa and am sad to haver received a disappointing experience. Our family was excited to spend a special milestone at Nordik but we ended up leaving early since it was not enjoyable.

Warning that local police are 'welcomed' to their parking lot and patrol for expired licence plates. There is a $495 fine that will ruin your beautiful and relaxing visit to Le Nordik. Make sure your paperwork is up to date before you visit so you can fully enjoy this peaceful experience!

Plusieurs restaurants! Donc de la diversité = Bonne cuisine! Le brie est excellent! Le tartare de bœuf également! Bon drink! Le margarita melon d’eau ou framboise un must!

J’adore les differents plateaux sur le site…« silence » « lounge » et « pour parler »

Quoi dire de la grande piscine d’eau salé il faut payer un extra mais ça vaut vraiment la peine! La seule chose il devrait y avoir un surveillant en TOUT temps pour contrôler vraiment le nombre de personne, les gens qui se laisse flotter et qui fonce les gens qui essaye de relaxer sur les bords et quelqu’un de l’entretien pour s’assurer d’avoir toujours des chapeaux flottants et que les papiers des bouchons d’oreille ou de la vaseline ne soit pas partout à terre. Ajouter des crochets se serait une bonne idée également.

Pour l’endroit des soins ça doit etre mieux indiquer qu’on doit monter les marches

Pour le reste l’expérience est super! Arriver tôt et partez tard ca en vaut tellement la peine de voir le coucher du soleil du côté lounge

Honestly I've been here a few times & each time my experience gets worse.the last time I went was the first time since the pandemic & it was supposed to be a nice relaxing girls trip but It was anything but relaxing. We arrived at noon (for our booked time slot) & we made our rounds to every sauna & pool, all of them were packed to the point that we were unable to find a seats beside each other, we then decided to grab a bite to eat while we waited for things to get less busy however, all of the restaurants were full. At this point, feeling frustrated since we had only been there 30 minutes, we went to the front desk & asked if it was possible to get our money back to come another day when it was less busy.the staff member told us it actually wasn't that busy & it was impossible for us to get a refund to come back. We ended up leaving the spa, went for lunch near by & only returned for our massages a few hours later which also were not relaxing. There was absolutely no social distancing, the staff was not helpful, the spa was overbooked & we were unable to enjoy or relax while there.the entire day turned out to be a waste of time and money, safe to say we will never be returning.

You owe it to yourself to try this place at least once. Wash your stress away and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of zen as you try out many sauna, hamam, and relaxation options. Worth spending the whole day here - the food is certainly worth it. Book ahead.

I think this is my 10th visit. It's always a great time. I do wish they would change up the menu a bit but I really have no complaints.

J’ai visité plusieurs spas au Québec et je n’ai jamais eu une expérience aussi désagréable. Je pensais qu’en y allant un mardi, j’aurais droit à du calme et de la tranquillité. C’était complètement l’inverse: tous les espaces étaient bondés et tout le monde parlait à tue-tête, même dans les zones silencieuses. Ce spa a une ambiance de resort du sud. En plus, il y avait beaucoup de déchets partout. Vraiment, au prix qu’est l’accès aux bains, je m’attendais à mieux.

Over-rated. $100 for the thermal experience which gives you access to their pools (minus the salt pool) and saunas and steam rooms. In the end, all of the pools and saunas are the exact same experience.

The workers scan your QR code before entry and ask that you sanitize your hands. After that, there is zero regard for covid procedures. Guests are not required to rinse off before entering the pools. They ask that you wear a mask when when walking the grounds, but the masks come right off when you're shoulder to shoulder with everyone in the pool and saunas.

Covid or not, it is not a relaxing experience when the premises are over crowded. There is a main pool in the "non-quiet" area that looked straight out of Spring break in Cancun. Pool was completely over-crowded, with drinks and empty glasses surrounding the pool.

The website promotes bringing reusable water bottles, so I was expecting proper re-fill stations. Nope, just your basic drinking-fountains (reminiscent of grade school). Even these were hard to come by.

Total cash grab. One robe provided, but unlimited change of towels (although you have to try and flag down a worker to get a new towel). Only three showers in the girl's change room. They provide low-grade body wash and shampoo - no conditioner or body lotion.

My husband and I went here when we first got together and now we are celebrating our 4 year wedding anniversary here in January

The spa is lovely, but I feel like the max capacity is a little high. It was hard to find a spot in the tubs anywhere.

Très déçue de la nouvelle façon de faire. Il est maintenant impossible de réserver pour un service de massothérapie seulement. Ils obligent l'achat d'un accès aux bains. Un massage qui me coutait normalement 120$ plus tx et tips me couterait maintenant près de 240$ pour l'accès aux bains dont je ne veux pas. Nous devons maintenant nous trouvez un autre massothérapeute. Vraiment décevant.

Really nice place to relax and get away that is close to the city. I would say at a minimum 5 hours to benefit from the experience. There are different little things that can make the experience a little better but not a huge deal.

Great place! Many options for saunas. Some rooms you have to pay extra for. The only reason for 4 stars is I felt like it was a bit overcrowded and the shower pressure was extremely light, couldn't wash off the soap out of my hair properly.

First time here but not the last. Went on a busy Saturday but there was plenty of room for everyone. For privacy, no cameras/phones are allowed outside the change rooms. There are hot and cold pools, meditation rooms with music through headphones, lavender infused salt scrubs, sauna experiences with rosemary infused snowballs on hot stones and a cafe with delicious foods. My favourite experience was falling asleep outside in -4° in a heated hammock. Employees were extremely friendly and helpful. Robes, towels, masks and water are provided as are hot and cold teas. There are showers and hairdryers as well. The only downside is that this spa is not accessible. There are many steps leading up to the entrance and only stairs inside leading to the changerooms. That said, it was a transformative experience, one that I will not soon forget.

The place and all amenities are good. But some of the staff were rude or I do not know what the proper word to use. I saw a Jewish couple in their fifties and look very professional and they were very quiet in the pool and the security guard asked them to leave because they were noisy while other people were making a lot of noise. I did not really appreciate that.

Always have a great time here. Hot amd cold baths/saunas are always a good thing, but there's something special about everything being outside with beautiful scenery all around!

You feel like you climbed Olympus and became one of the goddess. An amazing place to recharge your body and soul.

Not sure why they now make people purchase the thermal experience even if you're only looking to get a facial done.the worst part is that they make no exceptions for people with specific conditions (for example pregnant individuals) looking for another spa although had been very loyal to Le Nordik in the past.

Staff was exceptionally good at their respective roles and food was excuisitely good!
We were helped inside by the customer service manager who found our vaccination certificates online since we had forgotten them.
We ordered from chef Harry at the grill. He made us a great burger served with a side of smokey potato salad and Haloumi Tacos. They were both prepared with care and tasted so good! Later, at the restaurant we ordered the rich, creamy brownie with bourbon-vanilla ice cream and an incredibly moist carrot cake for dessert. They were beautifully presented with many components and very obviously expertly homemade.
As the sun set, the lights on the property turned to romantic blues and tall trees in the distance were softly lit in muted tones of red, blue and white.
All the saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms and cold baths were in optimum working condition. The grounds, relaxation areas, change rooms, washrooms and showers were extremely clean and well kept.
Our afternoon and evening experience at Nordik was excellent in every way!

Magnifique journée à relaxer, bien organisé, propre, resto sur place (dispendieux) et bars aussi (14$ un mimosa) adjacents aux différents bains. Peignoir et serviettes fournies, beaucoup de places pour tous.

Great spa. There's 3 different areas based on what vibe you're looking for. Silent, whisper or social. The social area has a bar with food options and a beer tent with cocktail options. Food, drink and spa combination made for an amazing fall day experience.

Massage, Thermal Experience, Amazing Lunch, and a great atmosphere. Probably the best day I've had since this insane pandemic ruined "living" for everyone for 2 whole years now. My only recommendation is to get there much earlier than your massage appointment and get oriented to where everything is.

A great spot to relax with friends or a significant other, enjoy the views, eat, drink and be merry.

Beware that you're dealing with Pirates.

We planned a spa weekend with extended family to celebrate a major event, and booked one of the extremely overpriced cabins at Le Nordik months in advance. We used their online booking service to do so, and accepted their terms and conditions, including:

"You can add the thermal experience to your reservation in order to have unlimited access during all your stay. You must add it to your reservation at least 3 business days before your arrival. "

Imagine our surprise when we contacted them 9 days (6 business days) before arrival to add that experience to the reservation that has already cost THOUSANDS of dollars, only to be told that there is no "unlimited access", and could only use the thermal spas for a short time, hours after our checkout time. Apparently, the written policy is only a guideline, and "someone would have told you when you booked". They could have updated their policy online, but still haven't - see attached screenshot. (In other words, they are happy to take your money but not communicate to you.)

This business is not trustworthy.

Super relaxing, lots of options in terms of baths, saunas, hot/warm/cold pools, eucalyptus steam room, bars, food, and fireplaces. Space was immaculately maintained and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Covid protocols were carefully followed. Would highly recommend.

The experience was good; the staff was helpful and friendly. The treatments I received (intense body massage & foot massage) were good. Fresh towels and robes were readily available. Several saunas, hot and cold tubs, and a saltwater floating pool to choose from.

This spa is heaven on earth. My husband and I had the best experience. Nothing compares. We tried out everything - all the saunas, banya, steam rooms, relaxation areas, the Kalla (salt pool), hot pools and hot tubs, warm pools, cold plunges, and so much more! We really enjoyed the infinity pool as we soaked up the sun and enjoyed the panoramic views. Our massages were great. The only negative is that the food and drinks are very expensive. But, we planned ahead.

Beautiful! I had a blast. It was raining on the day we went but that only enhanced the experience. Cocktail was great, and I really enjoyed the cold waterfall after the hot eucalyptus sauna. I'll definitely go again.

Took massage & it was a great experience. Their staffs were extremely skilful. Spa was closed due to covid. Have been to their hot pool spa for more than 5 time’s & loved it all. Can wait for the spa to reopen.

Unfortunately due to COVID I couldn’t experience the entire spa, but I did enjoy a relaxation massage. This was by far the best massage I’ve ever experienced, my partner also agreed. My RMT, Louise was great, wouldn’t definitely go back and request her again!

Had the BEST massage ever with Cecile. She was so great, would highly recommend.
Unfortunately the pools were not open, but we will definitely be back to have the full experience! Can't wait!

It’s was better then I expected although very very busy and we went on a Thursday. And the parking situation was hell. Some people decided to park in the driveway on both sides and we ended up being blocked. The employees had to come take down the plate numbers and call the owners of the vehicles. They should definitely have an employee taking care of the parking lot.

Great experience. Visited for a second time and it's improved. The food is excellent and the staff are all over the place. There is a pool in the far back that you don't have to be silent at. The majority of the place you can't talk. The staff are all around with signs saying silence. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. We had the beef brisket, yum. Shared the NYE experience with my friend this year and I was extremely impressed. Nordik does a great job hosting events. No long waits, comfortable privacy, everything was amazing!

I have been coming to the Nordik for years but I can honestly say this was the worst experiences I have ever had at a spa. When we got to the spa on Christmas Eve we were told it was children’s day. We were looking for a relaxing day so we had no problem just returning another day. However when we were about to leave and return another day, two separate staff members ensured us that children were only allowed in specific areas and they had their own changing room so that it would remain a relaxing environment. After paying over $200 we quickly realised that it was a scam. Children were running around everywhere, there was no place off limits to them. There is nothing less relaxing then trying to enjoy a ‘silent’ sauna when your sharing it with unsupervised screening and giggling pre-teens. Halfway though the day, the ‘adult only’ changing room became a free for all. I complained to staff and nothing was done. The worst part of this experience was that my partner and I were very happy to come a different day, but were convinced to stay by staff members. I am disgusted by the lack of respect Nordik has for its patrons.

Last Chrismas I've got a $90 gift certificate that expires tomorrow. I would have lived to go, but there is no local bus that goes there, neither a gray hund bus, and the taxi charges $160 to take you there although it is only 17 minutes ride. My friends with cars are away for Christmas, and tomorrow is the last day with no more time extension.

Le jeu n'en vaut pas la chandelle! Deux heures et demi d'attente pour y entrer, trop de monde ce qui nuit à la relaxation, rien de particulier mis-à-part un prix élevé comparé à d'autres spas. Peut-être serait-il judicieux d'afficher en ligne sur le site web l'état de l'achalandage des lieux pour éviter aux gens de se déplacer et d'attendre des heures inutilement (pour le prix!), considérant qu'on ne répond pas toujours au téléphone. Ce fut une première et dernière fois, plusieurs autres spas vous offrent le même confort sinon plus pour un moindre coût et une meilleure relaxation.

The spa prefers quantity over quality. Too many people, it is nice that is a well-know spa but when you go to a place like this is to enjoy and RELAX. In my humble opinion, limiting the number of visitors per day could enhance the quality of the spa.

Fabulous time even (or especially) in minus 15 snowy weather. We hopped from tub to tub and into saunas and salt pools all while wandering in bathrobes, flip flops and toques!
The food and service were top notch.
I will return in all seasons to see their unique views in all of their splendor.

Quantity over quality!
This place has a lot of potential. Everything is prepared for a day of great relaxing BUT the owners seem to pack it as much as possible. Sitting like a sardeen in a sauna isn't really relaxing, nor rubbing up to people in the hot pools. Never mention the waiting and lines.

It's so easy to manage it better.

I had am amazing experience, and Nordik is wonderful! However, the ground outside is not heated like the other spas I've been to outside. It is absolutely freezing on your feet, should you choose to not wear footwear. Please DO NOT GO BARE FOOT HERE! Nordik makes enough money to have heated floors outdoors, I think it would just make it perfect!

The capacity of the place is 850 people. I went during holidays and it was packed to the rim. I think 1/10 number of people would be most suited to keep pools clean and saunas hot

Absolutely amazing experience. Extremely relaxing and very enjoyable. We went on one of the busiest days they've had and it still felt personal and not over crowded. People were friendly and for those of us who don't speak French were extremely accommodating.

Really nice but way too expensive. Robes should atleast be included in the price. I also noticed you were not aloud phones which was great, but the amount of people with their phones was ridiculous even with the "security" around.they saw them and didnt say anything? The resturant food was mediocre at best. The charcuterie board was the worst I've ever had.no cheese or anything on the board except a few meats with barley any bread or spreads. I saw everyone around running out of bread and you have to pay 2$ for an extra 5 tiny pieces of bread. What a joke when you already paying 100$. They should really start putting some more as everybody requests it.

I enjoyed the spa for the first time this summer. My second experience a few weeks ago was going well until someone stole ONE of my brand new boots! I searched everywhere for my boot, and reported it to lost and found, but it was futile. Management basically told me it was my fault for leaving it under the bench (like everyone else). There was no way my boots, my backpack and my clothes could fit into a mini locker! Instead of blaming me, Nordic could have been a little more empathetic to my situation. I had to go home in the winter in flip flops! For the amount of money this spa charges, they should be hiring security guards for their change rooms to prevent thieves from stealing other people's property. I will not be back any time soon!

Definitely worth a visit! Try to avoid going on weekends because it can be busy to the point of unpleasantness. It’s best to go during the week, plus admission is a bit cheaper, same for evening entrance (check website to confirm before going). Staff is friendly, the food and cocktails are good at the restaurant and the options for baths and saunas is great. Last visit, my massage therapist never showed up but they were pretty good at owning up. The only thing that bothers me is that for their new salt pool (Kalla) they charge $40 extra, which is fine, however there is no one at the entrance of this pool and dishonest people have figured out how to go in without paying. Hopefully they’ll have a better system in place soon!

Nordik Spa has grown significantly over the years and has lots of areas to relax and unwind. The biggest issue I have though is with the staff. They are just so rude, and the customer service is very sub par. Also, the hot tubs are not very hot, and in the winter that's a problem. Finally, the price just isn't worth it anymore ($68).

Great place once you’re in but their customer service is seriously lacking. Waited in line for 45 min just to find out they have run out of robes. When bringing this up with the supervisor the matter was brushed off like nothing happened. Was a shame to be treated with such disrespect on what should be a serious matter with a high end establishment such as this.

The biggest problem is the check in. I have stood in line and watched people take over 15 minutes.

As I waited many times in the line, and my own check in process, I have noticed it is not streamlined at all. It seems every person had their own process.

There needs to be an express line for regulars that know what they want.

Better yet, a way to check in remotely, with all the nuances and choices made in advance, bring in a reservation number to an express desk, get handed a bracelet, go relax.

There are handicap parking but their employees park there.so service for wheel chairs too many stairs with no options.did not get the treatments we paid for.but the employees were ok

Friendly service in English or French! An amazing place to soak your aches away with many options for pools, saunas, & different temperatures! You will enjoy this place a lot more if the air temperature is below zero Celsius (32 Fahrenheit), but you can still enjoy it at higher temperatures.

Almost all of the pool and sauna areas are whisper or silent areas and alcohol free with the exception of the bar hot pool where you can have a normal conversation while enjoying a class of wine or beer. Having a drink in the hot pool is such a great experience and it’s something many spas in Canada will not allow you to do.

We did not try the food there but many people seemed like they were enjoying having it!
