Burgers and fries are good, plenty of tasty options and alternatives, and build-your-own option. However, it has become absurdly expensive. This weekend I bought two burgers and some yam fries- after tip the total came to 65$. Way too expensive for this kind of food. Also, I never eat there in-person anymore because I am never happy with the service: slow, blasé waiters who couldn’t care less about offering a nice experience. Not feeling inclined to eat NBG anymore.

Ordered four burgers, two beef and two vegetarian. We requested that the boxes be labeled, but they weren't.
The meat burgers looked decadent, but the two non-meat options were sad by comparison and their flavour was severely lacking.
The non-meat burger meals came about half as many fries as the non-meat options. It's felt to me like this meat-centric restaurant doesn't like vegetarians.
With all the delivery fees and such, a basic burger and fries came to 30$!? !? !? I would have been far more satisfies with an A&W Beyond Meat burger.

I do not reccomended this restaurant for vegetarians

Nothing really grea, t here. The breakfast was not good, and the staff including the cook all seemed just out of high school. The burgers are okay.

The place is cool and their servers were pleasant. But my purpose for being there wasn't worth it. The burger and onion rings not good

Very nice and delicious burgers, they could just add a bit more fries nice staff, the kitchen staff are so young and unfortunately they do not respect the covid mask wearing protocols very well

Fantastic brunch joint! Very reasonable prices, good service and nice coffee. Menus in both English and French so it's good for visitors to town without feeling like a tourist trap.

I'm only giving them 1 star, because I have to. Horrible COLD & RAW HAMBERGER and NO fries. Customer service was TERRIBLE. 28$ for a COLD & RAW HAMBERGER, NO FRIES, and UNHELPFUL and NON APOLOGETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I tried this place twice. Never again, I fell sick as soon as I got home both times. Anyway it's not even good. They probably have rats.

Ordered the sweet potatoes fries was a waste of money, it was overcooked and not for eating was for going straight to garbage.

We ordered two meals, came to $75. That would’ve been fine except they didn’t include the extras that were requested and paid for, basically ripping us off. I got the Basic Chick burger and not even the regular toppings were on it. Everything we actually ordered was on the receipt, but not in the actual food. They even took the care to leave a note thanking for the order, but not enough care to actually make the food ordered. Oh, and it was cold. Won’t order again, can’t trust the next order would be any better.

Could be so much better. One of the most unmemorable burgers you may ever eat in your life. I would recommend you keep on walking and find something more exceptional.

The food is generally good at this restaurant, but my last visit not so good. I ordered a hamburger and it came with toppings I didn’t order and the the bacon was cold and hard. Plus the hamburger was not cooked. A real disappointing experience.

Really disappointed. Ordered a burger and sweet potato fries from Uber Eats. I did not receive the sweet potato fries, but instead received regular fries. I'm on a specific diet that does not allow me to eat carbs like regular potatoes. Wish I could've gotten what I paid extra for. Half of my order I cannot eat. Plus, it was cold by the time it got to me.

Les frites étaient tellement mauvaises, froides, sec elles m'ont donné mal au coeur. Les burgeurs étaient extrèmement gras, les ingrédients goutaient vieux pas frais du tout. Ma croustade aux pommes goutait le moisi et était congelée. La crème glacée pleine de cristaux de glace. Bref vraiment décue.

J'étais déjà allé pré-covid et j'Avais beaucoup aimé leur hamburger mais quand j'y suis retourné cet été j'ai été déçu par de la nourriture de bas niveau pour un prix exorbitant. Des photos à l'appuis.

Never again. PICKUP: Guess the obligatory minimum 10% tip wasn't enough to get then to read the list of toppings I paid for or for it to be ready when they promised. I waited an extra 20 minutes for cold fries and blackenend bits on my plain burger. It wasn't even busy! Bummer.

Very cosy place. VERY interesting selection of drinks. I had the Swiss burger. It was excellent.

Grab a bottle of wine and split it with a friend, then chow down with some good music. Dont order the calamari its always burnt.

One of my favorite restaurants in Montreal, I only wish they would open a South Shore location!
Recently, I placed a large group order (12 people, many different meals/sides/substitutions). They got everything right, labeled it and packed it well. Everyone was happy with their food, thank you!

Very good veggie burgers, only down side is their prices. I paid 16$ for a burger with fries, and thats Before tax, and 15% tip minimum.

Début déconfinement et re-ouverture de resto, je vous déconseille de manger sur place. Service médiocre par des jeunes manque d’expérience qui n’attendent que de gros tips sans efforts. Nos burgers sont servis avec de mauvaises accompagnement, sans excuse. Trop dispendieux pour un petit burger, on n’aurait dû commander à emporter à la place.

We have eaten here on several occasions and did take away throughout the pandemic. Tonight we wanted to celebrate and were craving a treat. We didn't mind the 15 minute wait, and were seated quickly by the only person on the wait staff who took her job seriously: the hostess, who was attentive and apologetic for the waiter and waitress. They were engaged in an exciting spring time ritual of flirting with one another, and completely ignored us and other patrons. They served other customers who arrived after us before even bothering to bring the lukewarm tap water to our table. The water glasses were filthy and when asked to replace one, they didn't. They forgot one of the appetizers, and also brought an order that was double the size we wanted. Multiple apologies didn't make up for the uncomfortable experience we had. There was no coordination with the wait staff at all! The food was also not the same quality we had become accustomed to: burgers were over cooked and greasy, and mine smelled slightly fishy, onion rings looked and tasted like they had been re-fried, and by all means, avoid the gluten free bun, that arrived cold and stale. NBdeG? What happened? You did great throughout the pandemic. We really wanted to like our meal, you were our go-to burger place! So disappointed.

Good service and a nice terrace. Drinks are great. Unfortunately, food is a solid 2/5 stars. We ordered: caprese salad, menage a trois, BG burger, pizzolitto burger, grilled asparagus. The caprese salad was bland and tasteless, had to douse it in salt and pepper. Same thing for the grilled asparagus. They advertise that they cook their burgers pink, but both burgers were over-cooked to hell and tough. No pink in sight. And the potato skins from the menage a trois platter. I didn't even know this was possible, but the skins were so tough that I literally had to struggle to pierce my teeth through it. I actually thought I was going to break my tooth. The burger buns were redeeming, however. If we were to return it would be for drinks only

It was super disappointing! The house veggie patty wasn’t tasty at all. They forgot some of the toppings on the customized burgers! Don’t expect the basil mayo to taste anything like basil. For any extra topping, you pay $1, and at best, you end up getting 2 or 3 of them on your burger:) don't even get tempted to order the jerk fries!

10/10 would recommend!

My partner and I both agreed that this was the juiciest burger we have ever had in our entire lives.

The protein to bun ratio is perfectly insane! The epic spicy sauce keep our tongues begging for another taste when we finished.

We ate it so fast that I didn’t even get a moment to click a photo of our mighty burgers.

We had calamari as an appetizer. They were tender on the inside and fried with an amazing flaky crust on the outside. We loved the sauce attached to it. It tasted creamy and unique. The interesting shapes of the calamari reassured me that they were freshly cut and battered in-house. Will 100% try it again!

Everything was well seasoned and delicious!

We ordered the salad to replace our fries and pickle. It was such a huge portion that we could only eat one which is why I only have a photo of the other salad that was left behind.

Don’t worry friends, I will have it for lunch tomorrow.

Shoutout to the hard working staff that I saw on the grill never stopping for a second. You all look like a well oiled machine working in harmony.

Thank you to the cheery and happy girl at counter who took our order with lightening speed and delivered all of our items with utensils + napkins included.

This place has been my go to restaurant for years.

The prices are a bit on the "high end" for these type of burguers. Thus, I was slightly disappointed this week after noticing they started reducing the size of their fríes serving. I think the food is still worth the price, but I hope this wont continue as the size factor is one of their main advantages over the competition.

Had ordered food there on a Saturday around 1 pm. I left the store to come pick it up. When I settled down and began to ate I realized the fries where really stale. Like eating cold McDonalds fries the next day, it was inedible. They used the same fries in the poutine, and honestly I was thinking maybe even the burger was done the day before and just reheated. All to say maybe keep an eye on the food there. I was pretty sure I asked for tater tots that's the worst part.

Some of the best burgers in town for sure. But wow the have made mistakes in our last 6 orders. Check your bag before you leave the restaurant. They often forget bacon, and one time they provided a real bad avocado in a breakfast burrito where they forgot the egg.

Both times I've gone in the cook wasn't wearing a mask while cooking the food. The first time i went was in November 2020, was grossed out of this total lack of hygiene in a global pandemic, the second time was today, thinking that after five months hopefully the cook would have started wearing a mask or someone else would be working, but the same guy was there and the same thing happened.when he does wear a mask its a balaclava thing which isn't an effective mask at all. The food is good but its concerning how little they care about health when they prepare food, in a global pandemic that is still going strong. Im writing this in the hopes that management will start properly enforcing covid practices, and so that people who pick up their food and don't know whats going on in the kitchen are aware of the potential health risk.

Les meilleurs burgers, le pain est frais la viande parfaitement cuite juteuse et tendre miamm les frites jerk wow en commandant à ce resto je suis tjr satisfaite, tout est parfait avec NBG on ne se trompe pas cest rendu mon resto préféré. 100 fois mieux que la belle et la boeuf.

My gf and I ordered threw her Uber and were very unsatisfied but after voicing it management did reach out to try and make it right. Overall this place is always a fave spot for burgers/fries. Sometimes things can just go wrong.

Great service and delicious burgers! What a burger joint is all about. I recommend the Alter Boys and onion rings (fries aren’t that great, too crispy)

Our burgers were disappointingly bland. A bit more seasoning on the actual beef patties could have gone a long way. Also, the home cut fries did not taste fresh and were dry. On the other hand, the brioche style buns, onion rings and sweet potato fries were all great.

The food is good and the ambiance too, but the food is too heavy/greasy, and not in a good way. It's really tasty, but I don't really like going there all that much anymore because of how heavy it is (it's not like a steak, it's a fat burger with a bunch of sauces).

Also, get a milkshake to go, there's more in the plastic cup than in the glass.

The burgers are really pretty good. Meat was cooked perfectly. Nice buns and trimmings. Great menu and ultra friendly staff.

November 1st 2020 Sherbrooke branch! This is the order I received! Look at the size of the patty and look at the tiny drizzle of sauce on it! Called the restaurant and their answer was “we are busy”. And then they have the audacity to ask people to support local restaurants. Unacceptable! Never ordering again.

Wow, j'ai acheté 2 hamburgers du mois aujourd'hui, terrible. 40 $ pour manger un hamburger industrialisé, j'ai pensé que serai qq chose gourmet, même un McDonald's Angus a plus d'ingrédients à l'intérieur que celui. Je ne recommande pas. Les frites très molles, pleines de graisse et c'est sure que a été préparé avec d'huile très vieille car elles étaient noires.

I had the Il PIZZOLITO with grilled buffalo mozzarella, capicollo, prosciutto, arugula and their basil mayo gives it such a food flavor.

You also have the option of creating your own burger.

Don’t leave without trying their milshakes. I have a sweet tooth so I can’t help it. Can’t go wrong with the oreo one.

Belle expérience dans un cadre invitant et chaleureux. J'ai essayé le Il Pizzolitto avec les frites régulières et tout goûtait bon. On sent que les produits sont choisis et agencés avec soin. Le personnel est vraiment très sympathique et convivial, j'étais seul bar et ne me suis pas ennuyé une seconde. Bon service de Mélina, Merci! Just flew in to Montreal from Toronto on the 26th of Nov, my family picked me up from airport, we were all very hungry, now keep in mind I’ve been to this restaurant 5-6 times customer service is great, food on the first few occasions was great as well, what happened today was beyond my belief, burger had so much seasoning that it could not be eaten so my sister just ate the gluten free bun, I ordered a chicken breast for my 5 yr old son and had to send it back, it was a little under cooked for our liking and was not eaten even after sending it back, now I ordered a garden salad that they poured so much salt like the lid of salt fell off, also order hot Wings, I was very specific well well well done! Came out not even remotely close to well done, I left that in my plate as well,
Asked for the bill really nice server asks how was everything I put my head down in a quiet voice because there were people also eating and said not to my liking today,
His response was “ your kidding right”
Paid for my whole bill he tried to give me a discount I refused and from a 55$ bill I gave him a 15$ tip and left,
And will NEVER step foot again, Montreal has always been known for their great food,

Both the service and the food was ok. I've had worst service before, but our server clearly didn't have any interest in serving us, she was too busy taking shots from other guys and flirting with clients, purposely doing everything to not come our way. When I got up and ask to order she said that she busy and can't come right away.

This place was amazing when it first opened. Used to be juicy burgers (not shy with condiments) but now they are a bit bland and often oversalted. They used to play 50s' music which fit well with the cozy interior, but now it's often out-of-place gangsta rap and hip hop

Great burgers! The beef patty is delicious, toppings are fun and versatile and you can create your own burger. Terrasse is nice in the summer.

Fantastic food everything's good, place is very small and cramped specially when line up waiting for seats no very comfortable.worth a try

Pire burger au poulet de ma vie. Je suis venu y manger hier, j’ai aimé l’endroit et l’ambiance mais la nouriture était infecte. Le poulet étais ultra dur de l’extérieur (presque tu te casse une dent) mais de l’intérieur pas assez cuit et pleins de membranes bizzare et de gras. 45$ pour finalement partir avec une assiette pleine et encore le ventre vide. Déçu. Je ne sais pas si on a pas été chanceux se soir là, mais domage parce que plus jamais je n’y retournerai.

I decided to order a burger of my own creation with roasted pineapple, sauteed mushrooms, lettuce, jalapenos and tomatoes. While the toppings didn't necessarily meld into anything fantastic, the meat was exceptional and brought it all together perfectly. Probably the best burger I've had all year despite my selective blunder.

The place has a rustic feel to it, everything was very clean and the staff are very friendly and attentive. They also had a nice array of vegan options that I will be trying next time.

Nourriture ok (je n'ai pas gouté au burger donc je ne peux pas commenter mais ma salade était très bonne), personnel souriant et super nombreux, belle décoration, bel accueil, ambiance de petits jeunes bourgeois de NDG trendy et cool MAIS service des breuvages très lent et mal organisé. Je m'explique: j'ai commandé un second verre de vin quand mon plat est arrivé. J'aime bien siroter un verre de vin en mangeant. J'ai attendu mon verre pendant 10 minutes. Je m'abstenais de manger pour pouvoir boire mon verre avec mon repas. J'ai rappelé gentiment au jeune homme que j'attendais mon autre verre de vin. Il m'a répondu qu'il me l'apportait tout de suite. J'ai attendu encore dix minutes. J'ai regardé passer le même serveur avec des breuvages pour d'autres clients mais il n'est jamais venu me porter mon verre de vin, ce qui aurait été assez simple. J'ai finalement annulé ma commande car j'avais presque fini mon repas, l"'attente étant devenue trop longue pour m'abstenir de manger. Le serveur ne s'est pas excusé, il semblait trouver que je demandais un traitement spécial. Il m'a dit "je peux te l'apporter maintenant" comme si je n'avais pas déjà fait cette demande dix minutes avant et comme s'il ne m'avait pas déjà dit ça lors de mon rappel dix minutes auparavant. J'ai refusé car je conduis et si je bois un verre de vin, je veux le faire en mangeant et j'avais presque fini mon plat principal. Il s'agissait simplement de verser un verre de vin. Comment justifier une telle attente pour quelque chose de si simple et de si court à faire? Je ne retournerai pas à ce restaurant car j'ai eu l'impression que j'étais une cliente fatigante alors que ma demande était légitime. Je pense que leur système de breuvages n'est pas au point si quelque chose qui peut se faire en 5 secondes prend plus de 20 minutes. En plus, c'est une vente de moins pour le restaurant, surtout pour un petit verre à HUIT dollars.
Rien de bien grave je sais mais quand même, je ne dépenserai plus mon argent là-bas.

I took one bite and through it in the garbage. Possibly the worst burger I've had. My sweet potatoe fries were limp and soggy. You'd think for 14$ you'd get some ripe avocado, I'd have taken frozen even, but considering the beef patty wasn't even seasoned with salt and pepper don't expect anything from these folks.edit. This was a foodora order not in house, and my request for a refund was refused. Nice way to burn $50 on two burgers and fries. NDG if you want to give me a refund that would be great.

This place is unique. I stumbled upon it in a blog and as a burger aficionado decided to give it a shot. Went there for lunch today. The burgers are all excellent from what our group had. The meat is top notch and the buns/toppings are fresh. The burgers are soft but not soggy. They look and taste home made. There is a large selection of drinks and the one i had was good although maybe a tad too light on the alcohol content. The dessert menu is also original. The fried Mars bar and Fried Oreos sound eccentric and they are. The fried Oreos were unique but too much. Good to share though.

Really liked it here. Loved the location. Sat on the terrace. The hamburger was tasty and big! The regular fries were delicious. The staff was friendly as well. Went on a Friday night around 545 and by 6 or so there was a line up out the door!

On attend parfois mais le service est généralement courtois et l'ambiance sympathique. Burgers d'excellente qualité. Prix raisonnables.
