Mon expérience avec le bureau Nour est plutôt mitigée. Je n'ai eu aucun problème avec le personel lorsque je suis allée faire mon échange d'argent en soi. En fait, ils ont même prit soins de m'appeler pour me dire quand ils avaient l'argent dont j'avais besoin puisque la devise que je demandais n'étais pas la plus commune. Sur ce point, j'ai vraiment apprécié l'effort qu'ils avaient exercé pour m'aider.

Cependant, le problème est parvenu par la suite; certains billets de la devise que l'on m'a échangé n'étaient plus valides dans le pays, donc je ne pouvais pas les utiliser! J'étais très frustrée et déçue.

Lorsque je suis revenue de mon voyage, je suis retournée au bureau pour échanger les billets fautifs (Ce qui en soi était encore plus frustrant puisque la valeur de la devise avait baissée entre temps) et on a tenté de refuser de les reprendre en me disant qu'ils n'étaient plus valides! La réponse a été immédiate, ce qui me fait croire que l'on m'a donné des billets non-valides en sachant que je ne pourrais pas les utiliser; ce n'était pas une simple erreur.

Heureusement j'avais gardé ma facture et j'ai fermement demandé un remboursement. Après avoir insisté pendant un moment, le propriétaire a fini par flancher et a accepté de faire l'échange.

C'était une situation qui selon moi montre de la mauvaise foi alors je ne retournerai pas à ce bureau.

My experience with the Nour desk is rather mixed. I had no issues with the staff when I went to do my actual money exchange. In fact, they even took care to call me to tell me when they had the money I needed since the currency I was asking for was not the most common. I really appreciated the effort they had put in to help me up to that point.

However, the problem came later; some of the currency notes I was exchanged for were no longer valid in the country, so I couldn't use them! I was very frustrated and disappointed.

When I returned from my trip, I went back to the office to exchange the faulty bills (Which in itself was even more frustrating since the value of the currency had dropped in the meantime) and they tried to refuse to take them back saying that they were no longer valid! The response was immediate, which makes me believe that I was given invalid notes knowing that I could not use them; it was not a simple mistake.

Luckily I had kept my receipt and firmly requested for the exchange to be made. After insisting for a while, the owner finally flinched and agreed to exchange the bills.

It was a situation that I think shows bad faith so I will not return to this office.

Ça fait des années que je voyage et par réflexe je suis toujours aller échanger mon argent au Carrefour Laval: (terminé de me faire avoir j’ai trouvé ce bureau de change avec un service sympathique et courtois, ils te servent même un bon petit café pendant que le monsieur calcule l’argent. Un service digne de l’époque et croyez-moi de nos jours il se fait très très rare. Le bureau est situé sur curé Labelle à Laval je vous conseille fortement ce petit détour de cinq minutes supplémentaires du Carrefour. De plus je venais échanger de l’argent pour toute la famille et le préposé a pris soin de me faire cinq enveloppes différentes pour chacun des membres de ma famille. Un belle trouvaille:)

Definitely the best exchange rates on the market I was able to find it, and the process is a simple as in them as them deducting my account in one currency and depositing in another. I have been personally dealing with them for years I and I got to know the father and all of his young kids growing with him over the years.
