I’m always happy with my pedicures here but will not be coming back for manicures. During shellac removal, they used a drill to file it off instead of soaking, so my natural nail is completely ruined and brittle now. I was squeezed in between 2 appointments so I’m sure they didn’t have time to soak off. Really disappointed.

I used to like this place. However I’m very unsatisfied the way the owner reacts sometimes. If you do your nails and they’re somewhat “long” she comes out of nowhere YELLING that is extra… she charges you 10$ more for length! That’s ridiculous and even if they break; she makes you pay for it. Nowhere else I’ve been they never said that.

Also, as soon as you open the door a big strong smell hits you.

Leaving a 2 star because the employees that work here are nice. Owner is not.

Today, Anna gave me a shellac manicure. She was quick and efficient, and she did an amazing job. The prices are also great and the salon itself is beautiful. Love it here.

Le service est vraiment mauvais; la propriétaire qui se chicane avec sa sœur devant les clients lors de ma dernière visite et cette fois-ci, elles n'ont pas mon rendez-vous que j'ai pris il y a plus d'une semaine. Allez ailleurs sincèrement, expérience désagréable avec ambiance tendue.

Anna the owner is super sweet and wants to accommodate you by heart. Love her and never going somewhere else again.

Cela fait plusieurs années que je fréquente cet établissement et vraiment je suis très satisfaite de mes résultats à toute les fois. Il y a Tina et train qui font une excellent service et très perfectionniste dans leur ouvrages dont je m'en tienne a ses deux la pour ne pas être déçu, ma fille et moi recevons bcp de compliments pour nos ongles à tout coup.

Loved my nails, the nude pink with glitter previously done by Rosa and the black tip set by Lan. They made sure every step of the way that i was satisfied ️

They do perfect pedicures. Ive tried many places in Laval and so far theyre the best. They clean and shape so well whether its a pedicure, manicure, or fake nails. If you want perfect thin well shaped not bumpy fake nails, you come to this place. Its worth the money.

I’m going to start on a positive note. Tina is really great as a technician. She cleans nails very well and applies nail polish as a perfectionist.
Now costumer service is not that great. The employees in general are not very friendly, maybe it’s because they don’t speak much English or French. But a smile wouldn’t hurt anybody. At some point my nails chipped shortly after being done and I came back to fix it and I could feel they were not happy and I was charged for it. Never happened to me anywhere else. I once forgot cash and asked if I can go get some and they said no again in a rude way while other costumers did exactly the same thing and it was fine for them. Must mention it was not my first manicure there and hopefully I don’t look like a person that will run away with her new nails. I remembered that locked inside lady story I felt like money is more important than relationship with their costumers.
After I took a break and decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately Tina’s machine jumped right on my finger and cut it, it was bleeding and I didn’t even receive an apology. Like it was not a big deal. I asked to sanitize it and apply bandaid. It was done. When it came to polish application I was not asked if the colour was ok. I mentioned twice I think we need to use another colour combo to achieve the design I wanted and was told not to worry. When it was done I said it’s not exactly what I wished for and I think it would have turned out better if we used what I wanted originally but I said it’s still nice, I don’t like to argue and cause a scene. I also assumed I’ll be offered discount because of my accident and didn’t want to offend her saying I don’t like her work. But no, I was asked full price after all what happened. I asked if there is any discount because first I got cut, second the design I wanted was not achieved and with a huge favour they removed 5$ for me I guess despite Tina’s talent for doing nails costumer service is extremely important. I still left tip anyways. After couple of hours with new nails I decided to remove the colour but probably won’t asked them for it I’m not ready to receive that attitude again and I’m sure they will charge me so I guess I’d rather go elsewhere. I hope it will not happened to anyone I referred there.

Tina is wonderful, always happy with my nail, she do wonderful design and she's really creative.

The staff was very patient and helpful. While the women was painting my nails I saw she was very focused on making them perfect. Very satisfied with the results!

I went in to get a new set of nails and I showed the lady a picture of the nails I wanted. I initially asked her if she was capable of doing what I wanted and she said yes, as she was doing them I noticed the length was too short and one of my finger was crooked, I told the lady and she kept pushing my hand back and said don’t worry I’m not finished. As she continued, it just looked bad so I was obviously unsatisfied and told her to simply remove them. She made a huge scene and called her boss, I explained to the boss that the nails were nothing like the picture I showed and I was not going to settle for that or pay full price since it was uncompleted and badly done, so I nicely asked for them to remove the nails and that i would pay the removal fee. The lady that was doing my nail immediately grabbed my hand aggressively while the boss was yelling “cut it cut it”, I immediately told them to not grab me so aggressively and I got up and told them to remove the nails so I can pay removal fee and leave but she kept insisting that I pay 40$. The nails were disappointing and the service was awful so I refused paying full price due to that. As I denied, they LOCKED the door of the salon and kept me locked inside for over an hour. I immediately called the police and waited for them while locked inside and no where to go. When they arrived, I explain the situation and they were shocked themselves for the way I was treated, they did not like their customer service what so ever. I do NOT recommend this salon at all. Awful experience, not only did they grab me aggressively but LOCKED me inside for 2 hours. Never again!

Rude service, not inviting at all. Hardly a week later and already lost a nail and 2 weeks later, had lost 3!

Beau travail elle s'applique pour la perfection (je parle de celle qui a fait mes ongles pour les autres je sais pas) mais je trouve que c'est cher il devrait avoir des rabais ou des forfaits et devrait aussi parler plus en français

I got recommended to go here by my client at work and boy I was happy! I got my nails done by the owner Anna. She manicured my nails perfectly. Looking forward to be going again!

In response to the event and all of the people commenting on it,

1) I agree that the client has the right to express his opinion or to be unsatisfied. However, you do not wait until the service is finished to complain about your nails. Furthermore, you do not ask to remove them when you know it is closing time for the store. Nobody will stay afterwards for you unless you are willing to pay them for their time.

2) Also, even if you are unsatisfied with the service, you CANNOT refuse to pay the service. For example, if you go to a restaurant, you are not gonna almost finish the meal and then say you are unhappy with it and then decide to leave without paying. It would make sense that they would call the cops on you. Nails salons deal with a lot of hit and runs so of course, they would take measures when you decide to not pay. They even spent an hour on you so you should pay them for their time.

3) Also, the client refused to let the owner take a picture of her nails in case she needed it for referral. She also refused to let the nail tech fix her nails or to tell her what was the problem.

4) The nail techs were recording the event as a measure of protection. They were not trying to film the family on purpose. The client became aggressive and that's why they started filming.

All these elements put together would make anyone think its a hit and run situation.

I dont know who the person below is and why they talk under my name.because i was the one who was beside the girl.first of all the girl she didnt now what she want she start with shellac after acrylic after gel and end up with the acrylic clearly she didnt know what was the difference of these 3.she showed a picture to the nail tech and ask her if she can do it like that she told her yes and start her work. But i have a question why the girl wait until she cut all the nails and shape them to tell her she didnt like it she didnt like the shape she didnt like length she wanted it longer etc instead of looking at her phone she could watch the lady what was doing right? Its been 6 years i go to this place and there work is amazing and great service and seriously its the first time such a situation happens there anyways the girl embarrassed herself. By the way its always fully booked so tell me all those people are wrong to go to this place and she is right? We all know how this is played.with all my respect next time do not speak under my name please.

Great place with friendly and professional service. The price is really good and the nail art they created is very trendy. I would definitely recommend this place to people who would want a beautiful set of nails and a lovely experience. Five starts!:)

Pour ma part, j’ai accompagné ma petite soeur de 15 ans là bas pour lui offrir sa première manucure pour son anniversaire. J’y suis donc allé, je l’ai déposé et je suis revenu la chercher a la fin. Résultat, une déception des plus totale! Ma soeur est rentrer dans l’auto en me cachant ses ongles et je comprenais pas pourquoi, je lui ai donc demandé de me les montrer et, moi qui suis un gars et qui ne s’y connais pas trop, j’ai été choqué du travail bâclé qu’ils ont fait! J’ai demander a ma soeur si c’était normal et avec les larmes aux yeux elle confirma mes doutes. Je compris qu’ils ne lui offrirent pas le service du, jugeant que ce n’était qu’une adolescente qui n’allait sans doute pas donner un bon pourboire. Je suis alors rentré pour avoir des explications et leur demander de réparer leur faute. Comme par hasard, pile à ce moment ils firent semblant de pas trop comprend ce que je disais (je précise que je parle couramment français et anglais), et refusaient de me rembourser ou d’agir en conséquence. Je suis donc sortie de là complètement déçu avec un cadeau gâché par leurs fautes et sans aucune considération pour ma situation. Par leurs fautes je du emmener ma soeur a un autre salon et encore une fois payer pour corriger leur erreurs. Conseil pour vous les filles, j’ai emmener ma soeur la bas uniquement parce que c’était le salon le plus proche de chez moi et que je ne m’y connaissais pas, ne faite pas la même erreur allez ailleurs!

In reference to the incident yesterday, I’ve never seen anyone with such aggression to the nail tech. Ever since I’ve been getting my nails done they always ask and confirm if the nail shape and length is too my liking. The client could have simply asked earlier after the one hand is cut and shaped. Before the polish was going on it was not what she wanted. Wouldn’t you be embarrassed to make a big scene and raised her voice in the salon full of people?

In all honestly if the nails shape and length wasn’t too my liking I would tell them to take them off and I will just pay the removal price and leave. Not keep the nails after the nail tech finished cutting and shaping and refuse pay at all.

Aside from that incident, every time I get my nails done here it is always to perfection, never a problem.

Je ne vous recommande vraiment pas cet endroit! Le service est lamentable et les employés sont fréquents. Ils ont même carrément été agressifs avec une cliente hier soir. Allez dans un autre salon, il y en a plein d'autres!

Si vous n’êtez pas présents à l’incident il y a deux jours. Vous ne devez pas écrire un avis puisque c’est un conflit entre la cliente et le commerce. Écrire un avis ne fait qu’empirer la situation ce qui n’est pas ce que les deux côtés souhaitent j’espère.

Nails tech ALWAYS ask first before cutting your nail or shape them. And Why would someone wait till the very end to notice that their nails are ugly? I always check them when they finish one hand. Logically if you don't like something you wouldn't want it on you right? Then why didn't you let them take off the nails? Anyways there are always two sides to every stories. They will always do a good job no matter how bad y'all write about this place.

I will never recommend this place after hearing my nieces story they Locked her in the salon for one hour because she didn’t get the proper service and she didn’t want to pay the full price.

I honestly feel sorry for any of you women who have trust issues with nail techs, and then go to a new place such as this.just for convenience sake. Read the reviews, it’ll be worth your money.

My gf went here, showed a picture, and then asked the nail tech to do it coffin style. She did it nothing like a coffin, and then my gf requested to remove the nails and will pay the removal fee. They grabbed her hand, and threatened to cut her nails if she didn’t pay the 40$ for the nails. No one would pay 40$ for something like that. They locked her in store, my gf then called the police. They were even escorting the other customers out the back door.

Made her wait over 2 hours locked in a store like an prisoner. Yelling in their language and taking pictures. Most disgusting customer service I’ve ever heard and seen through FaceTime.

Ladies, save your money, invest in your nails at a proper salon that will take care of you, not lock you in and refuse the money to take off the nails. Disgusting.

In the end, police knew the store was in the wrong, and she paid the 20 removal fee and left.

In reference to the incident yesterday
i was there around 8 pm so I will make it short and sweet. The Hitchcock thriller story stated in the previous comments is a huge exageration of a young lady who didnt want to pay for a service rendered her excuse was didnt look like in the picture. Really! Nothing ever look exactly like in the picture!
They always ask the length before cutting the tips and after they shape the first nail so why waited till right before the nail polish? And why did she refuse to let them take a picture of her hands. To make a short story i have been going there for almost 8 years was it always 100% perfect no, but they always made sure i was satisfied at the end. Thank you team Ongle st Dorothy for a great service and for putting up with clients mood swings.

I heard this salon is terrible. They have very poor customer service and are incapable of doing what their customers want. I don't recommend this place whatsoever.

Ça fait 3 ans que je vienne chez ongle ST Dorothee les employées oú travaillent sont adorable et experts toujours à l’écoute et à l’heure. C’est un bon salon et je vous suggère fortement?

I PAID 70$!
I asked for a new set and gel. Just before I called and asked them if they charged for the form and the price and they said it’s free for the form and it will cost 55$. Half way through I asked to confirm the price and she said because my nails were a little bit longer, it’s going to be 60$ BECAUSE OF THE LENGHT! The girl next to me had 2mm less then me. After that I told them I’ll go get some cash because I wouldn’t pay taxes and they let two other clients go but refuse me to go. And on top of that, the girl next to me asked for the same thing as me (new set, gel, cash) they said yes and they only charged her 35$. I WOULDN’T recommend this place AT ALL! Be careful.
