REVIEW: ALAIN ASSEDO IS QUITE SIMPLY THE BEST OPTICIAN IN ALL OF MONTRÉAL AND I DARE SAY QUÉBEC! And I have been to many over the years! This attentive, very knowledgeable staff offers a WIDE variety of the latest, up-to-date styles as well as very creative, out-of-the-box thinking for your frame choices. A family run business of several generations taking great pride and professionalism in their product and service offerings always very helpful and accommodating. Specifically, Leah, who works on the floor is not only a technician soon to be optician herself but more importantly, a very creative genius - an artist in helping you sort out exactly what your frame needs are. Myself, my wife, and my son have all purchased from them and have been extremely pleased with the outcome. Not a day goes by where someone doesn't compliment my wife, son, or myself on our glasses-those which we wouldn't have picked without the out-of-the- box thinking thanks to Leah. I say worth EVERY PENNY for the service and price one pays! RUN don't walk to make an appt see see how FINALLY we have an establishment that KNOWS their business! Cudos to the whole team at Alain Assedo!

Dr. Courey is amazing! What a great experience. So kind and competent. She really took the time to listen and understand. Not only that, she managed to figure out an issue I've been having that 2 other optometrists couldn't! I can't recommend her enough!

I recently visited Alain Assedo's store for an eye exam and to purchase new glasses, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Alain is a true professional, and his expertise in the field is evident from the moment you start speaking with him.
Alain took the time to explain everything to me in great detail, making sure that I fully understood my prescription and any potential issues with my eyes. When it came time to choose my new glasses, he was incredibly patient and helpful, offering a wide range of options and providing his honest opinion on what he thought would suit me best.
In addition to his knowledge and expertise, Alain is also a very kind and personable individual. He truly cares about his patients, and goes above and beyond to ensure that they are happy and satisfied with their experience. I would highly recommend Alain Assedo to anyone in need of an optician, and I will definitely be returning to him for all of my future eyewear needs. Five stars all around!

I haven't been in here but I do have to walk by their very problematic, racist, and culturally appropriative window display of "tiki" heads in glasses.not sure how this is still a happening in 2023 but it is pretty disturbing.

This place was great, went for an eye exam with Dr. Frenette. Customer service from everyone was great. Would recommend.

Bad optometrist! Dre. Courey she is careless, delinquent and money oriented. The only + point there, is a gentleman who works as technician. He also serves the costumers. Really pity.

Came in to fix my glasses, they fixed them perfectly at no charge, and I wasn't even a returning costumer.

They got my glasses nose stands replaced for free. I will definitely return for new glasses. Really recommended!

I came in desperate to fix my glasses right before my job interview. She did it in 10 minutes.and then wouldn't let me pay her.

I took 2 pairs of glasses in one with a broken thing for your nose aand the other with a screw out and the lens falling out. They fixed the both in 20 minutes and did not charge me.
I will ever returning to get my eyes tasted and my next glasses there

The absolute best and most exceptional customer service experience I’ve ever had at an optometry clinic or shop. I ran out of contacts was in town for a few days and called dozens of stores before finally finding this gem. They even offered to order my exact prescription and have it here before I leave. An unpleasant experience. The staff were disorganized and did not communicate clearly with one another to make sure all information for my order was made note of, or pay attention to my requirements, so there was a huge miscommunication in my order, which was an inconvenience for me. I specified that the one thing I needed taken care of was crucial to my deciding to place an order and yet that was the first thing they failed on, which then snowballed into many other problems with my prescription glasses. Quite disappointing. Otherwise, good selection of high-end frames and sunglasses.

The most amazing store in the world. The staff are great. The frame selection is unique, original and always updated to the optical fashion. I would say this store is the most high end optical store in Montreal. They are always PACKED. The service is impeccable. They make sure to take care of you from beggining to end. They won’t let you leave unsatisfied. Over all, a great experience. Everyone compliments me on my frames. Alain knows exactly what fits your face. I HIGHLY recommend going here!

I have been dealing with Alain for the past 15 years. There is absolutely no one like him or his team! I wear glasses since I am 2 years old. His service, selection, patience and honesty is so appreciated. The second you walk into his store you feel welcome and you know you will be well taken care of. He is so accommodating and understanding. He is also so stylish and knows exactly how to pin point the details and unique features of each frame! Thank you Alain for everything!

I've been a client of Mr. Assedo for more then 10 years now. I always appreciated their work with their customers. Yes it might seem expensive, but Mr. Assedo and his team are worth the extra buck. He saved me many times with spare contact boxes right before a trip when I would forget to order my contact lenses on time (or they would be late). He is always straight up with you about what he can offer you as a service, yes I can do this or no I cannot do this. I recently tried to go to another optician's office and I was sorely disappointed, the other optician give me the wrong prescription, they didn't want to make my glasses with a custom frame that I didn't buy in their store (saying they're not responsible if it breaks, etc.) and finally I went to Alain Assedo and again Mr. Assedo and his team save the day! They accepted my frame (not purchased in their store) to make my glasses. Some might think that they do not have a large selection of frames, but I would say that the frames in store a very trendy and up to date on latest fashion and good quality. All in all, I do recommend this store mostly because I love the service their, and of course everything else is a bonus. Go team Assedo!

High standards of care and ambiance. There is a warmth to this neighbourhood eyewear facility that is lacking in larger franchise stores.
I'd often thought that the prices here were a deterrent to our custom. Some might concur, however after a recent purchase of glasses for my eldest, I am sold sold sold. Olivier was terrific and very easy to work with. Every single detail was discussed flawlessly. Celine and Alain have really mastered their trade and gave first class service. It's goodbye to the big box stores for me.

J'ai eu un rendez-vous en moins d'une semaine et mes lunettes étaient disponibles quelques jours après.
