Ottawa Boat Cruise/EKEAU

The staff is attentive and welcoming but the whole experience is ruined by time management. Before the cruise I asked how long it takes and was told it’s 90 minutes, that’s true, but.the excursion ended in 50 minutes (and it was fine) after that we just stayed at some dock on the other side of the river for 30 minutes gathering people. Why the hell should I be waiting 30 minutes gathering someone being totally burned under the sun. That was insanely stupid, drop us off in 50 min when excursion is over and go pick up whoever you want, why should I be waiting in a melting boat and waste my time!

Be aware that if you face ANY kind of obstacle beyond your control, preventing you from getting to the boat on time they will NOT refund or credit you at all. There is no grace period, no exceptions - nothing. And, no one will answer the phone when you try calling to tell them you're late and to hold the boat for a minute. $111.63 (for just two tickets) gone to the wind. I don't feel comfortable at all trying to book another ride or encouraging friends and family.

*edit: looking through the reviews I can see that they were able to accommodate some guests who missed their departure time and were able to help them get another one. It's too bad that doesn't apply to everyone.

Absolutely difficult to find the place, we missed the boat ride because we did not know where to go! Some guy asked us to wait for the next boat, we waited two hours for them to come back again and say we are done for today!

I tried called the customer service to reschedule the ride for us several times, left emails and no one answered and absolutely no staff to communicate with once there! This is ridiculous.

Aside from the boat being very dated and old, the company should make it very clear on its website that seniors, families with small children, those with strollers, canes, etc.should only depart from the Gatineau dock and not the Ottawa Dock. The walk to the Ottawa Dock is absolutely horrendous for the above mentioned demographic not to mention extremely dangerous for those with children given the distance between the waiting area and the river wall. If I had known the distance and location differences between the two docks, I would have easily departed from the Gatineau side and would have parked nearby as well. If you have any type of physical disability and/or have young children, I would recommend arranging your trip from the Gatineau dock. Lastly, the owner of the cruiseline may benefit further if better investment is made on the boat itself or if the boat is replaced altogether. The staff onboard were great.

Pleasant cruise. Weather was nice and the guide was cute and very informative. Not difficult to find the departure point although some more signage would help

Manque d’information pour savoir où attendre, beaucoup d’attente pas besoin d’arriver 30mn avant car le bateau arrive en retard.
Par contre belle croisière avec une guide très professionnelle et sympathique.
Je ne regrette pas d’avoir attendu
J’étais placée à droite et devant, nous avions la possibilité de nous déplacer.

A little difficult to find but worth it.
Boat cruise was great to explore the city around the Canal. We had a great time.
Staff is really nice.
Initially we missed our cruise timing but staff was able to accommodate in the next cruise.
