My review was deleted and I am reposting to make a point. The croissant I had was dry and very average in taste which tells me not enough butter was used. Also it did not have enough layers which is again due to lack of butter and/or the layering process was rushed. I will visit your location again in March. If you have improved your croissant I will revise my review

J'ai fait une commande spéciale, payée d'avance, pour une galette frangipane et j'ai reçu une galette aux pommes. Difficile à échanger rendu 300 km plus loin. J'ai envoyé un courriel pour comprendre ce qui s'est passé. Aucune réponse de la part du proprio. Ça me désole que la satisfaction de la clientèle soit si peu importante. J'aimais bien cet endroit mais comme je me respecte, j'irai voir ailleurs lors de mes prochains séjours.

Beautiful bakery with tons of pastries on display.

The pastries I got were good. I really liked the escargot raisin. The croissant was just ok, a bit on the sweet side.

It has cafeteria style seating with a mix of small and big tables. You have to clean up yourself so some of the tables were dirty. The floors especially had lots of crumbs everywhere.

Service is pretty good. The ordering system is a bit disorganized. People butt in line and you have to move around to multiple counters to order everything. Not all employees are fluent in French but they'll do their best to help you order.

People come in waves here. There was a long line up when we arrived at around 1pm but the place was a lot emptier by the time we left.

The main area is accessible but the washrooms are up a flight of stairs. The women's washroom had 2 stalls out of order and the remaining toilet was clogged.

In the 2 days, we went 3 times to this awesome bakery. The hot chocolate was really good and the sandwiches are the best!

Okay crossiants, great eclairs and other associated pastries though. Some items were better than others but nothing was bad. Solid place to visit.

Je suis très déçu par mon expérience dans ce café. J'ai commandé un grand latte, mais il n'était rempli qu'à moitié et avait un goût très faible. Même le café dans les concessions automobiles 4S est meilleur que celui-ci. De plus, le personnel était très indifférent. Lorsque je suis resté devant le comptoir pour commander, ils ont fait semblant de ne pas me voir.

La commande à emporter ne correspond pas aux produits choisis.

Very nice spot. Seems like a tourists spot, but it’s the real deal…pastries were outstanding selections were many and coffee drinks were also very good. Lots of seating in and out.

The baked goods and croissants are remarkable. Sit out side. High points for food. Low points for atmosphere. Big and noisey.

Assez pratique et une bonne sélection mais la fraîcheur de certaines viennoiseries peut laisser à désirer. Elles sont ok mais je m'attendais à mieux.

For breakfast can't do scrambled eggs? Only one type of bread and coffee wasn't too hot, but the rest wasn't too bad that is why only a 3 start. Other couple got up and left as well. We were there several months ago and there dinner was good at that time.

Bonne boulangerie avec de très bons produits, mais chaque fois que j'y vais le service est très très long. Attente d'au moins 20 minutes pour se faire servir. Dommage pour une si bonne boulangerie.

This is a great place for desserts and coffee. They have a great selection of breads as well and they make sandwiches. We went late at night almost before closing, so it was pretty empty but it looks like it can get busy during certain times. It is very spacious and the have tables to eat inside. Friendly staff and they have a really good hot chocolate!

Great place.good selection of baked goods and sandwiches. Lots of hot and cold drinks.place is very clean and ample seating.very nice atmosphere. Covid precautions were well above my expectations.

Can't say enough good things about this place. It was the only place we repeated visits to during our trip because it was SO good. We had the ham and brie sandwich (warmed up) and it was amazing. Everything is so fresh, cute atmosphere if you choose to stay and the staff are super friendly.

The food was great as take out but the covid measures were awful, no distancing in place for the line up.

Good food nice atmosphere. I need to speak French better.but they kindly spoke English to me. ️

Definitely worth the wait. It has a big selection of pastries and sandwiches. Loved the chocolate croissant and the cheese sandwich. The only negative point was that: Coffee was Nespresso!

All the pastries were delicious, the ham and cheese croissant sandwich was gone in an instant, the croissant was buttery and flaky. The dining area was spacious and there's a choice to eat outside too. Would have gone back for more sandwiches but the line to order at that time was getting long. Definitely recommend! 5 stars!

Very congested, very long wait even just for coffee and pastries. Cappuccino and cafe au lait were the same somehow. Croissant was very good. Eclair had an unexpected chocolate filling, which was good but would have preferred the normal kind.

Good points: big bakery with plugs to charge your phone which is helpful for tourists. Lots of pastries are available to choose from. Coffee is nice.

Areas of improvement: Poor customer service. The lady that served me the first time (dark brown/ slightly red hair) ignored me when I went to order another coffee and served the customer behind me instead. She did not smile/ seem friendly the first time she served me. The cafe must be understaffed as no one cleaned the dining area so the tables are dirty. Food is okay but nothing special -the macarons were not made well.

As a tourist, I would try another bakery in Quebec City.

Very busy specialty bakery. They specialize in baked goods, and breads/sandwiches. Their breakfast croissant sandwich was amazing. It was so flaky and buttery, and mixed in with the egg had that creaminess to it. Their pastries were also to die for. Highly recommend!

The food is okay nothing special it's mostly the place itself it's nice like a canteen in a classi way

Lots of choices but very busy. Flow poorly laid out. Hard to see what they have available and order without holding up the line. Pastries were ok - a little dry. But taste was good

Croissants was my disappointment. It's way far away from fresh great croissant, more like 1 or 2 days old (. Coffee a bit overburdened and not smooth.

Établissement clair et très propre, bien achalandé en viennoiseries, du bon pain (boulangers français) et des sandwichs bien garnis. Possibilité de prendre le petit déjeuner et déjeuner sur place Prix corrects! Personnel souriant et dynamique. Boulangerie à recommander de toute urgence!

Croissants are just insanely smooth I'm from Belgium and I can tell you this real European bakery

Great little stop along St-Jean. All of the baking looks marvelous, but definitely enjoyed the 'New Yorkaise' sandwich. Well organized for COVID and a good spot to warm up your confinement walk in Old Québec.

Je suis venue en juillet 2019, et j’ai passé un bon déjeuner dans cette boulangerie. La salade grecque était bonne et mention spéciale pour l’appellation chocolatine!
Le seul bémol était un peu d’attente et pas assez de table.

Really, really good pastries. Best I've ever had. The croissant's are moist, stretchy, and flaky. There was also this pastry, which I don't know the name of, which was like a figure-8 knot of dough similar to a croissant, with course sugar and some sort of glaze.

Such a great cafe in Quebec City. Incredibly fluffy and buttery croissants! Also love the large communal table; great interior and vibe. All the pastries and food items look amazing!

Another customer probably took pur drinks. So after a few minutes, I approached the staffs in a friendly way, but they could care less, especially the supposedly manager, he just stared at me (though they were busy).

Very popular with tourists and locals alike, basic seating aimed at a quick turnaround of customers. Selection of breads and pastries with fillings to suit most tastes.

I go here every time I'm in the city. Love the food. Love the service. The store always looks amazing and the friendly staff are always willing to help. And all the photos are on my camera so you'll just have to come see for yourself.

Du pain. Et du sucre. Bref. Des biscuits ou macarons à 25.00$ la douzaine. Une vrai exagération! Un attrappe touriste! Il y a BEAUCOUP mieux. Et moins chère à Quebec.

They have literally the best macarons I have ever tasted in my life. The store is also beautiful located on a magical little street in old Quebec. It was so beautiful.

Asked if they have soy milk and they said yes. I ordered a cappuccino with soy milk. Once i left i took two sips and realized it was cow milk. I am a vegan and sensitive to milk. It was disgusting to taste it. It’s just disrespectful when food services don’t respect their customers’ requests.

Lovely little place that sells high quality food for a reasonable price. Tried the famous croissant and liked it. Wish they had a more descriptive menu with suggestions.

Long lines for the pastries when I visited at 13: 00, but definitely worth the wait. Latte was very good also. Will visit here again whenever I’m in town.

The pastries here are truly top notch. As are the sandwiches. I ordered the jambon beure sandwich and a cappuccino. My wife went with a chocolate croissant. Both were amazing. I wish I could eat here every single morning.

J'y retourne pour le service du matin. Sourire et gentillesse accompagnent mes muffins. Soupes et sandwichs variés. C'est toujours frais. Un must dans le Vieux-Québec.

The cappuccino wasn’t even a cappuccino.you don’t make bubbles, you make foams.the opera wasn’t tasty at all and I was disappointed.the only reason why I gave 2 stars was because of the friendly staff.

Super croissants, the best I had. Many times are long line ups so need to be very patient. The Washroom is on second floor which might be a problem for certain people, no elevator

I heard that the croissant is most popular here but I think ciabatta could be also good choice. Sandwich was little bit salty for me but still worth eating. If you are alone, the half sized one would be enough.

Awesome pastries and really good bread! Just be willing to wait in line! They had a pretty good breakfast menu though so totally worth it! A must stop for petit dejeuner in Quebec City!

This is a popular bakery/cafe within the gates of Old Town. The baked goods are very nice and service is great (service in Quebec City is very good in general). I took a star off for mediocre coffee. I took another off for 10 min wait in line to order given how busy it was. The place is large enough and could have had multiple servers to speed up the wait. For those going early and only ordering baked goods five stars would be more appropriate.

This was my go to spot for breakfast. They have a good selection of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Coffee is also decent and is included with any breakfast sandwich. Their creme brulee was really good although the server burnt the sugar a bit.

Very bad service. Loooooong queues, half of the food was forgotten which caused additional horrendous waiting times while the coffe gets cold.
Also, adds tip without even asking.
A shop i would NEVER tip nor recommend.
