Not a good experience! Both with the food and the service. Food is nowhere close to the proper Indian taste. Ordered Masala Dosa and it was all burnt! Also, the lady at the counter was bit rude too. We get sick form this food eating there

Very good Indian food and a byow. I would recommend the lamb Biryani which had great flavour and spice. The lamb saag was a bit more muted and could've used more spice in my opinion. All in all, a very good and filling meal at an affordable price.

Extremely professional service and delicious food! I eat here a lot and vary my order food is always amazing, Ajit recently catored a 60ppl party for me and everyone raved about the food!

Extremely poor service. Despite having only 2-3 tables occupied, we constantly struggled to get attention. Food taste was okay, but quantity was really poor given how much they charge you. They really need to work on their service to uplift the customer experience.

We went into this place purely by chance, what a find, food was great, service was ok, they were busy. But still found us a table. Would I go back, yes definitely if in the area.

Les plats sont excellents! Pour se faire servir, si vous ne parlez pas bien anglais c'est parfois plus difficile selon qui vous sert, mais ils sont aimable et patients alors soyez pret à sortir votre anglais ça vaut le coup!

I Took chicken tikka. It was so hard. It was not able to chew. I told them. They didn’t response well. Bad dealing with customers. Had bad dinner tonight: (

First time we went, it was very slow and disorganized. They forgot this and that and it took two hours for the meal. The food was good though. We went a second time, and this time they were even more disorganized and the food was poor. The vindaloo was very salt, the aloo gobi was mush and had a HAIR in it, and our other two main dishes were meh. And like the first time, I had to ask for our drinks because they never came. They also never brought our raita. You need to audit the bill, since in both our visits, there's been a difference between what we ordered and what we actually received. At the end, when I was paying, they said they hadn't found the hair. I said well I didn't leave it in my food! It was in a napkin if they wanted it. So I felt that on top of a super disappointing meal, they were also accusing me of lying by checking through my food for their cook's hair.

Ils avaient donné notre table a quelqu'un d'autre, le service était lent, pas de service en français.

La nourriture était bonne. Par contre la serveuse ne parlait pas un mot de français et semblait ne vouloir faire aucun effort. J'ai eu beau pointer les plats sur le menu, elle voulait absolument que je commande en anglais. Il y a des limites à faire exprès de ne rien comprendre. Très décevant.

I've heard great reviews about this indian restaurant. My friend recommended it. As soon as you walk into the restaurant there was a very strong urine odor. The smell made me feel sick to my stomach but I stayed anyway hoping the smell would go away. The staff were very nice but when we asked for another table to make room for our food she wiped the table with a dirty smelling rag. The strong odor from the cloth lingered at our table. The food was just okay. 6/10. Our waitress was not attentive. We asked for an ice bucket 2wice for our wine but she forgot. Butter chicken tasted mostly like lard and cream. Naan bread was good. Samosa was good. Our waitress did not ask us how the food was. Thirsty for water finally they brought us water. Would I go there again hell no! They need to throw away all thier cloths and mops and upgrade. Overall experience 4 on 10! NEVER AGAIN LOL

I saw some comments about how the thali (meal where you get to try try differents dishes) portions were small. I would have to agree from seeing the picture, however I think it goes with the price. I got a full meal and I was really happy with the portions.

Everything tasted really good, butter chicken was extremely rich which is the way I like it and the lamb was very tender.

Staff is super nice too.

If you want legit and delicious Indian food when you are visiting Montreal, this is the only place to go! A+

This place just keeps getting worse. It used to be good a few years ago and every time I've ordered the quality has gone down. Most dishes taste similar, and everything is more spicy than flavourful. There seems to be little care and effort put into the food now. I will not give them another chance! I am disappointed everytime.

The best Indian food in Montréal! Time after time there is consistency, flavour and taste in every bite. Portion sizes are great. Their rotis and naan are super soft.

And I think the price is real good for the quality and quantity you get! And the staff is really nice!
100% will go again.

In terms of improvements, I think the dining room and outside window would benefit from some refurbishing but it s a very minor detail!

Food was amazing. We had great lunch there. Ordered tandori chicken, chilli chicken, naan etc. Prices good too.

To start, the food is absolutely great. That's why I continue to go there. Food is served very fast. They're always polite.and I know I said it already, but the food is great and second to none. Highly highly recommended.

Worst food and quality I ever see.
I order karahi panner from this place but I see only 2 or 3 small pieces of panner inside even whole dish is full of large pieces of onion, capsicum there. Afterwards I visited depennar which is close to me to buy panner and put in dish to look like karahi panner. Moreover, I order 2 karahi panner, 1 mix veg and 7 naan and 5 toondori roti.
They said it's 120 dollar.
Too expensive as compare to quality of food.

Few months back I ordered from them and the chinese guy who did the delivery demanded tips from you and argued with me I didn't post this when it happened once but the same thing happened twice. That's why I don't order from them anymore

This place use to be so good. The butter chicken/shahi paneer was incredible. But it s been 2 times now that i come here, order the same thing as usual, but it s become less buttery and way much spicy. I want to let a chance to this place who use to be so good, it s not good enough compare tu usual, i will simply go eat somewhere else.

Please do not tip, the owner doesn’t give tips to the servers! Tip goes to Restaurant and not the right person!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Montreal. Add to that a low price point and a BYOB - and this place is unbeatable. Granted, it is low-key, no-table-cloth kind of place, but did you try their butter shrimp, veggie korma or saga paneer? To. Die. For! They also do takeout/delivery. Highly, highly recommended!

I've tried most things on the menu and it's all reasonably priced and reasonably good. Ordering the Veggie Thali is playing roulette, it's always 3 different veggie curries and they're all usually amazing, occasionally one with big soy protein chunks that I find quite odd. Overall, Service is friendly, food is good, price is right

Used to love this place, the food, the service, the prices. When I went back after the pandemic, it had changed. The meals were very diluted and liquid almost like soups, the prices had sparked. Worst is, the phone line never works so you can’t order ahead of time. I had to wait for 1 hour in the restaurant for my take out order to be ready.

The best I've had in MTL. Perfect use of appropriate spices and seasonnings, and all their meats are of excellent quality. No "weird pieces". Flavors are truly excellent and authentic. Even their samosa can be eaten without any additional chutneys, as they are quite tasty on their own. They have been a little bit disorganized at times, but this has gotten better. Don't worry about the decor. Just order in if you don't like it. They deliver.

Keep it up Ajit! I recommend this place above any other Indian restaurant in the area!

La bouffe est super bonne et plusieurs options veganes disponibles. Par contre, ca fait deux fois que je vais sur place avec une amie et les serveuses font comme si nous étions invisible, regarde dans notre direction et nous évitent du regard, acceuille, donne le menu et de l'eau a plusieur clients arrivés après nous. On a fini par émettre la possibilité quelles n'aiment pas les femmes blanches et avons quitté et sommes allé au Nouveau Delhi ou nous avons eu droit a un acceuil et un service impeccable.

The food is super good and several vegan options available. On the other hand, it is twice that I go there with a friend and the waitresses are as if we were invisible, look in our direction and knot avoid the look, welcome, give the menu and water to several customers arrived after. We ended up emitting the possibility that they do not like white women and left and went to New Delhi where we were treated to a welcome and impeccable service.

Takeout was fast, tasty and of nice quality. Staff was polite. Only problem is there were different vegetables inside Thali than what i was told over the phone.

En take-out: Très bon restaurant indien et le prix est honnête. Si je suis près de Verdun, ça vaut le détour pour aller se chercher quelques plats pour les lunch de la semaine. Mention spéciale au Korma de légumes qui est un véritable délice!

First time eating in at a restaurant since beginning of the pandemic, they had precautions set in place and wore masks while serving which I appreciated! The waiter was very friendly and attentive, gave us consistent service and we had a great chat with the chef afterward. The food quality was great for the price, as were the quantities. We ordered veggie pakora that was fresh and hot. I ordered the veggie Thali with thé masala and the portions left me full and satisfied. Thanks for making us feel at home, we will be back again and again!

Most authentic indian cuisine you could get from a restaurant! Always love it there! Definitely a spot you can go to without having to stress about the prices.

By far the best Indian restaurant in Verdun. Can probably give some of the Parc-Ex places a run for their money. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny if you want a full-flavoured experience

I quite enjoyed it. I found the portions were good. It was flavorful, I was happy with my meal, I feel like there could have been more chicken pieces in the butter chicken. There aren't many tasty spots for Indian restaurants I find in the Sud ouest area so I'm happy I found here when I get a craving.

We took a take-out. First time there. After paying 137$ + tips (150$) for 7 peoples, we check the amount of food that we receive. It is ridiculous. Please do not go there. Please go on the south shore in Brossard, Deli Kebab. You will pay about 50$ less and you will have almost double quantity of food. Usually, we are taking the family special at 90$ and we have enough food for 2 meals. We are a family of 5. Never go there again.

The food is amazing! The staff is so nice, my first time trying and she helped me to pick items for my daughter’s birthday! Amazing service I suggest!:)

Goût acceptable, prix RIDICULEMENT cher pour la quantité de nourriture livrée. Je voulais essayer un nouveau restaurant indien car celui où nous commandons normalement livre assez de nourriture pour des restants le lendemain pour le même prix. Nous sommes 5 et on a tous encore faim.

Juste ça de nourriture pour 120$?

Honestly I’ve been to many Indian places, and this has been the best one by far. If you’re in Montreal and love Indian food, this place is an absolute must.

I particularly recommend the Lamb Korma, but do have to add that the chicken tandoori is not the tastiest.

Le Palais d'Ajit ne paie pas de mine à première vue, mais la nourriture y est extrêmement bonne et les repas sont à un coût très abordable. J'y suis allée un soir avec des amis et pour deux entrées et un thali végétarien complet, j'ai payé 15$! À éviter lors des soirs de canicule, puisque la clim ne réussit pas à refroidir le restaurant. Apportez-votre-vin.

Bonne nourriture et bon prix, mais impossible de commander en français (même si c'est la loi).

Armez-vous de patience, les livraisons prennent en moyenne 45 à 60 minutes!

Frais de 3$ pour la livraison à seulement 2,4km et de 10 sous pour un sac sans me l'avoir mentionné au téléphone. Assez ordinaire!

Just ordered takeout from this restaurant. We were very impressed by every dish including the butter chicken, channah samosa, palak paneer and the vegetable biryani. Food was prepared quickly and we're happy to have found our new go-to spot! The restaurant is a bring your own wine also.

Best Indian restaurant in Montreal. The food is very delicious and the price is very low, for how good it is. I tend to go there once a week, and I'm never disappointed. The service is also very good they're very kind with their customers. I would rate more stars if I could.

Très bon resto avec beaucoup de choix et les prix sont très raisonnables.
Les serveurs sont presque exclusivement anglophone alors armer vous de votre meilleurs anglais ou utilisez le "je pointe ce que je veux dans le menu". Bref, il y a toujours moyen de communiquer et ça ne devrait pas vous décourager d'y aller. Surtout que c'est un resto "Apportez votre vin".

I ate on location about a year ago i was good for the price, so today i decide to give them a call see if they deliver, so order myself a few things. OMG! The food was awful, everything had a old taste to it, the garlic naan was covered in raw garlic. RAW. The onion bhaji was frozen in the middle. The portions were tiny for what we paid for. Sixty dollars for food that will probably end up in the garbage. Keep in mind that i love Indian food and would eat it daily. I will avoid Palais d'Ajit and you should to.

One of the most delicious Indian food we've had around here. Lots of flavors. And good quality/price ratio. Wasnt too crowded as we went after lunch hours. Not the most romantic setting but would definitely return.

The service is slower than your average fast food joint, but the food. THE FOOD

This meal was incredible and well worth the wait.

It tasted like a home cooked meal should. I would tell you what I ordered but I’m confident it’s all good.

By far this is my favourite Indian restaurant in the city. The price and quality are second to none. I'm basic and I always get the butter chicken (I order it extra spicy), garlic naan and vegetable biryani. The service is fast and friendly, family owned and run.

The best indian food i ever had since i came to canada. Yes i know it might be expensive a but, and i might have to wait a while to be served sometimes gue to the rush. But its worth it. The food is great. The staff is super friendly. You get the authentic indian taste and ambience and i am all in for it. Forever the fan of this place. Totally Totally recommended.
