Great atmosphere with live music. The food was very tasty and the cheesecake was awesome. Very friendly staff. We will definitely come back.

Why is this place not raved about more? !? ! We accidentally stumbled upon this place after our dinner choice for the evening got fully booked up but I couldn't be more thankful! The vibes are warm and inviting and the staff and patrons have a lot of love to give towards the food here! It was a happy accident that we went for $2 taco night but they definitely did not skimp on the quality of these tacos! Every single taco on the menu is bursting with flavour, and that is before you even add any of the sauces and pickled onions that came with the free (!) Chips! The owner lovingly explained the purpose of each of the homemade sauces and pickled onions as well as the flavours to be found in each of their vastly different tacos! We tried one of each in the menu and we were not disappointed! The tacos al pastor will forever be our favourite! We ended off the night with piping hot churros and chocolate! Delicious

Amazing restaurant! Live music when we came on friday night around 9: 30. Delicious food, great service, good portions. Will be back:)

I’m putting one star because I have no choice, but it deserve none! This service in this place is HORRIBLE the owner himself had a bad attitude from the beginning. He rushed us to order and when we asked for recommandations, he told us to check the menu. When we received the entrees after 45 minutes, we noticed that the shrimp had a weird taste as if they were not fresh. We told the waitress to take the plate back because we really didn’t like it and found it fade and not fresh and then the owner came and begun to argue with us and tell us he’s gonna charge us (we never said we were not gonna pay for it we just made a genuine comment). He was almost screaming at us for telling him we didn’t like it in front of everyone. Even the waitress felt bad and she apologized on his behalf. We left before having our plates and of course paid for everything before. Never had such a bad experience. NOT RECOMMENDING AT ALL!

Excellent restaurant mexicain. Le service est top et souriant. Anais a été super. Les plats sont goûteux et bien épicés. La carte est très variée. Je recommande. Les cocktails sont bien servis.

Wow. 18 taco platter for two was an amazing experience, every single one of the 9 types was great. Service too!

Pricey but worth it! Amazing service, tasty food and a live music show! What else can you ask for?

If you think it's a Mexican restaurant, you're wrong, it's a TEX MEX restaurant so don't expect the original flavor of Mexico but if you like TEX MEX the food isn't bad, but don't expect enough food on your plate as it usually is everywhere. Mexican dishes so the guacamole will be a green stain on your plate, the tacos are very small in a single tortilla and the prices are somewhat expensive for what they serve. That if the atmosphere is phenomenal live music is excellent although I would not say the same about the service. The orders were outdated, some ate first than others, there was a lack of salt, lemons and sauce on the tables, things that abound in a real Mexican restaurant. If you are a tourist and you don't know what Mexico is, this restaurant is good for you

Ordered on Doordash. This is what I got for 10$: three spoons of soup and rotten avocados. Appalling.

Restaurant mexican très agréable, avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix et du staff disponibile. La toilette est bien tenue, le local est meublé avec du bon goût et l'atmosphère ici est confortable.
Je le conseil à qui veut déguster du bonne cuisine mexicaine.

Service was amazing! Food was great, felt like we were on vacation! And on Wednesdays, tacos are 2$! Definitely coming again if I want to have some fresh delicious tacos!

Cute little place with Latino music and cozy vibes! This place serves authentic Mexican food with a very lively ambience for friends and family! The Cactus Tacos were something I tried for the first time and I was thoroughly impressed. The quality of food was supreme and the drinks were pretty good too! I loved the fact that it was more Mexican than Tex-Mex which allowed me to experience a totally unique flavour profile than my "Tex-Mex" understanding of the cuisine. The endless tortilla chips were the cherry on the cake!

Le serveur n’est pas concentré sur les demandes qu’on lui adresse, j’ai du lui rappeler plusieurs fois ce que je lui demandais.

This place is confusing and inauthentic. The coffee is instant and the menu items are overpriced. Drinks are strong so I guess that’s a plus.

Service irréprochable, ambiance familiale et festive et la nourriture est excellente. Je recommande fortement de l'essayer si vous n'y êtes jamais aller! 5 étoiles sans hésiter.

Loved the presentation and the tinga (chicken) tacos in particular. A bit more on the pricey side, especially the gourmet ones. However, I enjoyed the good service and authenticity of the place. I would recommend it for those who’ve never had a taco before.

Service tres long, restaurant presque vide un lundi soir, quantité des plats minuscules. J’ai commandé un bloody ceaser pas buvable que j’ai retourné immédiatement et en recevant ma facture ont m’a chargé le bloody 15$ en me disant que le drink avait été fait et c’est pas de sont contrôle si je ne l’ai pas aimé. Très ordinaire comme réponse on m’a même pas demandé de le refaire puisque les quantités d’alcool ajoutée n’était clairement pas bien fait.
Restaurant à éviter.

J'ai visité avec mes amis, un Vendredi soir, il avait une musicien sur place et une bonne sélection musicale latine. Les attentions du propriétaire sont 1A. On n'a pas eu problème pour trouver stationnement sur la rue en face du bar-resto. On a profité des bons cocktails, le Mojito était parfait, les shots de Tequila et les chapulins étaient superbes.

Good food, excellent attention and amazing vibe with live latin music. It felt somewhat like home, coming from a Soutamerican country. If you're looking for a place full of authenticity, this is your place to go.

Nourriture bonne mais serveur qui arnaque

La nourriture était très bonne rien à dire la dessus, juste nous avons été surpris par l’addition.
Nous avions commandé des tacos à 15$ (les 4 tacos) le serveur nous a proposé du guacamole avec nous avons dit oui et cela nous est revenu à 25$ (soit 10$ pour le guacamole).
Il y avait en effet un plat a 25$ qui comprenait 4 tacos + guacamole + nachos.

(lors de notre arrivé on nous a servi des chips tortilla plus une sauce, vu que c’était servi des notre arrivée on a pris ca comme offert)

On a alors demandé au serveur s’ils avaient pas oublié les nachos (car pour nous les nachos sont souvent servis avec du fromage etc) et il nous a dit que c’était les chips du début.
On a été un peut surpris qu’on nous impose d’office des “nachos”. Je sens un peu l’arnaque venant de notre serveur. Il avait les cheveux cours et noir tatouage sur le bras.

En total ça nous ai revenus à 49,44$ chacun sans les tips (nous étions 2) soit:

Un verre à 14$
Les 4 tacos plus guacamole (sans nachos) a 25$
Et 6 churros a 8$ (mais pour 2)
Plus les taxes …

Bref on s’est fait arnaquer par le serveur

I really wish I could put more than 2 stars but I'd be lying.
1) Me and my SO went to this place last week, he had made a reservation over the phone for a table at 9pm. When we got there, there was clearly no table for us, they sat us outside when it was still a cold night. The person who seemed to be the owner did not seem to really care about the table situation and did not apologize. I actually don't think there is a reservation system as they were sitting people as they were coming so I suspect we could have end up with no table if we would have arrived a little bit later.
2) Drinks: Prices are just crazy. One shot of tequila ranges from 13-14$, one cocktail is about 14$ (wasn't very good, was very sugary), one beer pichet was 36$.
3) Food: it is NOT authentic Mexican food (I am a Latin myself and have eaten real authentic Mexican food). Prices are super expensive. We took one soup as appetizer for 10$, it was small quantity and wasn't impressive. It's 4$ per taco and honestly it did not have the Mexican freshness and authenticity. My SO took one appetizer of nachos with guacamole for 10$, it was basically one avocado smashed with no special taste and they even forgot to bring nachos. So basically we paid 10$ for one avocado!
4) Service: we had like 3-4 different servers serving us that night. We had to remind them to bring the cocktail as it took a long time. We also reminded them to bring us the bill.

Positive points:
- It's well located in MTL
- There was a live musicians performance (a duo) singing Latin music, very appreciated!
- Decor/set up makes you feel like you are in a cute little restaurant in a Latin country.

Bottom line: I do not recommend this restaurant.

Arrivez à 18h30 nous avons attendu 20min avant de se lever pour aller demander que les serveurs prennent notre commande avant que l'Happy Hours se finisse. La manager au bar a, à ce moment là signaler que l'Happy Hours été fini à 18h50. (Indiqué de 5 à 7 sur le menu)

PS: les toilettes ne ferment pas correctement

Went there with a group of friends. The Tacos, the guacamole, and the nachos were good (but not fantastic). They started doing their own churros, and i found them very disappointing, as they were all over-fried. While the food was fine, the service was not good: multiple mistakes were made with our orders (they corrected the mistake with the tacos by bringing back two, and didn’t charge for the extra ones that we hadn’t ordered), and the service was very slow (e.g. It took more a good 30 min to get a marguarita!). Not a bad place, but you can find much better restaurants for tacos and churros in Montreal, for the same price or a bit cheaper.
