Petros Griffintown

Marino, "of the sea". The food as well as your warm service brought me to the shorelines of the Mediterranean. The chicken was tender and yet perfectly charred, and the olive oil was of such great quality.

It was the closest I can get to Greece while in Montreal and I thank you for such an exquisite meal.

Kudos to the chefs and wonderful service.

This past weekend my friends and I visited Petros griffintown. Most of us had already been here, but even the ones who hadn’t thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and server. Our server, Marino, really made our night with his one-liners and little jokes. Would highly recommend this restaurant for groups as it offers several group options and is bring your own wine. As always an incredible experience, thank you and see you soo Marino and the whole Petros team!

Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que nous avons mangé. J’ai eu de la pieuvre marinée plutôt que grillée. La salade Mykonos goûtait la vinaigrette catalina. Extrêmement décevant pour un restaurant haut de gamme grec qui nous a coûté 170$ sans le vin pour deux.

I found their prices to be insulting. There are far superior Greek restaurants in Montreal that cost half as much.
The staff was great. Nice ambiance.

Je suis une habituée de ce resto (c’est mon resto préférée depuis 5 ans) et je suis sincèrement désolé du service reçu qui me laisse un goût amer. Le service était très lent, le serveur aucunement à l’écoute de notre commande et aucun suivi. Bref, je vais y retourner mais je vais m’assurer d’avoir un autre serveur

Food was abundant, salty, and fine for mass market taste. Service was adequate on a super busy night, ie an achievement. One real issue: we reserved weeks in advance for twenty-plus people paying about $80 per person including taxes and service.got told two days before sitting that we must leave promptly at two hours for the next service because the next group had paid for a more expensive menu. This is our second meh experience at one of these and we'll not return. Very loud busy and fun vibe.

Wow! Excellent food. Marino took such good care of us. Amazing service and amazing food. You need to try this place!

Food is good but pretty expensive compared to other and fancier restaurants.

I travelled several times to greece but unfortunately the food here didn't make me travel back.

I recommend the place for family gatherings but book in advance your table.

Had a great meal here with a group of 8. Our waiter was very attentive and earned his tip by providing multiple sharing options that he had thought through for a group as big as ours (including allergies). The bill was very reasonable - we brought our own wine ($0 corkage). Service was fast, portions big and prices good. Also brought us a free dessert - fried dough balls with green yogurt and honey. Very nice evening thank you!

Excellent service, la nourriture est excellente, surtout la pieuvre grillée qui est de loin la meilleure en ville. Merci à Omarino pour ses conseils avisés et sa bonne humeur contagieuse!

Nous avons opté pour le menu dégustation à 60$ par personne. Nous avons également commandé une portion de Moussaka en plus. Aucuns regrets. Un des plats les plus appréciés.

Portions généreuses. Les saveurs y étaient. Nous avons pu goûter à une grande variété de plats des entrées au dessert

Niveau service: A+

Ambiance: correct. Ce n'est pas le point fort. Ça fait un peu "cafétéria".

Recommandé plutôt pour un repas entre amis, de groupe. Moins pour une soirée en tête en tête.

Great food! Very good service. However, way too pricey! I understand they are serving good food, but they are charging excessive amounts! 18$ alone for two bottles of sparkling water! Sounds like a bad joke. If $$ is not an issue then come! But or else, the owner is needs to fix his prices!

Simplement délicieux! J'ai commandé via Uber, la seule critique est que le menu de suprême au poulet affiche avec du riz et je n'en avait pas, mais ça ne vaut pas la perte d'une étoile! Je commande pour la première fois et déjà dans mes favoris

Second time at this location and and same experience as last time, unfriendly totally uninterested service and food definitely not as good as the Westmount location. The presentation of the "Special Petros" is a beautiful tower of zucchini in which the tzatziki is placed in the middle, in Griffintown it's a plate filled with thrown in zucchini with a side of tzatziki, and the rest of the food was very ordinary, in taste and presentation. The Westmount one has amazing service and food and it's always full. The Griffintown Petros last night had 6 tables, it was empty.no wonder. Will not be returning.

Beautiful place, great food and very courteous, friendly and competent service. Excellent for couples or groups of up to 10-15 people. Highly recommended!

Petro is amazing if you like Greek cuisine. Then again, what's not to love? Various fresh fish options deliciously prepared along with all Greek traditional dishes. Be careful about how many things you order as the portions are amazingly generous. The decor and atmosphere is just as you would expect from a traditional Greek restaurant. If Greek you feel, Petro is the place to go - bar none:)

Had a great experience at Petros griffintown. Despite being busy on a Saturday night, the service was excellent and very attentive. We ordered the eggplant dip, fried zucchini, the branzino, tuna and Greek salad and thought everything was delicious and that the portion sizes were very generous. The ambience was also lively and enjoyable. Would definitely come here again in the future!

The place looks great but, way too many rules on the menu like, can't order certain item unless you are 4 people? Pay a tax for corking the wine when, we are opening our bottle ourself? Overpriced. Taste good, not more, portion quite small.

On a bien aimé. Le serveur était amical et bien serviable. Il nous a bien recommandé les items du menu. Le resto est joli. L'ambiance à la grec est plaisante! Nous avons pris une entrée de pieuvre grillée, puis loup mer ainsi que suprême de poulet en plats principaux. Tout était très bon, mais surtout la pieuvre! Vraiment, le seul bémol est au niveau des prix.c'est plutôt salé. On vous propose de l'eau pétillante en arrivant. Ma conjointe se montre intéressée, le serveur arrive donc aussitôt avec une bouteille d'eau gazéifiée de 1,5 L qu'il nous chargera 9 $. C'est pas mal cher à mon avis pour de l'eau, gazéifiée ou non. En tout cas, un peu déçu par le prix, mais l'expérience était bien sinon.

Our server was super fun and we spend a great time Sunday night over there. Nice food and I loved the decor.

The menu is much larger than other Petros restaurants, but unfortunately many dishes are missing and their signature zucchini were overlooked. Service was very good. Atmosphere and decor are fantastic.

Im gonna give it 5 stars for the quality of the food. On the more expensive side but it is BYOW. Very accomodating with fast service!

Un voyage direct en Grèce! Bel accueil, très TRÈS bonne bouffe, personnel courtois et agréable, le décor est magnifique, on a fait un beau voyage culinaire!

Second time at Petros but first time in Petros Griffintown. This location has a perk the others don't, it's bring your own wine. However, I find the food quality, presentation and overall care are inferior to Petros Laurier. It's too expensive for the quality.

We got multiple seafood entrées including the grilled calamari, octopus and scallops. While the first two were delicious, the scallops were overcooked and chewy. Also, there were only four tiny scallops for 24$.
The beetroot salad was so inconsistently chopped and the cheese was almost inexistant.

As mains, we got the seabass, grilled chicken and lamb chops. They all came with vegetables and a potato. The sides were tasty as well as the fish and chicken. They were all well seasoned and well cooked. The lamb however, was so raw. The waiter never asked us for the temperature we wished our meat cooked. What a disappointment.

The service was ok. When we first arrived, the waiter was very present but as the restaurant filled up, it was hard to get a hold of him. Also, there is a back door that's always opening and closing which was pretty annoying considering the cold weather. Our table was just next to it.

Overall, it's great you can bring your own wine but I prefer the Petros Laurier because of the higher quality service, food presentation and good taste. It feels like there are more care in put the dishes. It's too expensive for the quality.

Excellent food and excellent service. It was a little chilly by the window. Prices for me were somewhat high, but I can see how other people who may be more accustomed to dining in the Griffin town area might find it reasonable or even inexpensive. In other words my pricey may not be pricey to other people.

The coldest by the window or the prices weren't deal breakers for me and I would definitely go back! Highly recommend this restaurant.

We were extremely pleasantly surprised by the food and service we got. We had zucchini, calamari, Greek salad and I got the lamb and it was all GREAT! Sometimes with a BYOW you can expect to pay more for food and not love it but that was not the case. We will be back! Thank you!

Worst worst worst experience I’ve had in my life. I used to be a regular, with many positive thoughts. I recommended this place to many people, I took many people here. They lost all the stars with the absolutely rudest « chef » that doesn’t know how to interact with a person. I will not set foot, and discourage anyone that does as long as that chef remains there.

My positive notes to Omarino…

One minute you're in Montreal and upon walking in, within a blink of an eye, you're swept away into a little slice of Greek paradise. Fantastic food, staff and atmosphere.

A lovely atmosphere that's great for a night out with friends, or a cute date. A bit loud and full when we went (friday night), but not loud enough you can't hear the people at your table. Lively and fun atmosphere, servers are friendly are cheery. Amazingly delicious 'tasting plates' (they are huge) that range from $50-70 per person (but well worth it for the portion size). This location is BYOB, which just adds a little extra to the experience.

A very nice and charming ambiance and I definitely recommend it.
The quality of food is decent for the price you pay.
Since it’s located in the heart of Griffintown, there is no outside parking. I strongly recommend their valet being 7$. It’s totally worth it.

Nous sommes allé au restaurant dans le cadre d'un souper de Noël avec mes collègues, le service était correct mais la qualité de la nourriture n'était pas à la hauteur du prix, la viande était trop cuite (j'avais une côtelette de porc) et les légumes d'accompagnements, des choux fleurs, brocolis et pommes de terre bouillies, très fades.

This was by far my worst experience at a Greek restaurant. We ordered the loup de mer, which had a horrible taste and also served cold. We asked that it be reheated but the taste remained awful. It did not feel fresh. I am beyond disappointed, will not go back and do not recommend trying this restaurant.

I usually do not leave reviews but this was so terrible and disappointing that I had to warn potential customers.

We had a lovely seafood dinner at Petros. It is a little pricey, but it is bring your own wine and the portions are very generous.

We started with their special Petros fried zucchini. They were perfect, as was the tzatziki.

The seafood platter for 2 was very generous and delicious. The fish, octopus and shrimp cooked to perfection.

We ended with the loukmades which were light and in honey.

Overall great experience, our waiter Rahad provided excellent service. My photos don't do it justice.

Just below average Greek food, though it is not overy pricy and it is BYOB. Parking is Hellish, a definite negative. I doubt I will go here again.

Delicious food, cute decor, but a little pricey. Was very disappointed tonight with the service. Multiple waiters wearing masks on their chins, not covering their noses, and our server literally forgot about us!

I was skeptical before going given that there were some not so great reviews, but we really enjoyed ourselves! The food was authentic greek cuisine. Everything was delicious, from food to server to decor. Will definitely go back. Don't forget that it's BYOB.

Authentic Greek Cuisine in a truly sumptuous Greek decor reminiscent of Santorini. Had the seared Tuna along with the Petros Special ; The Tzatziki was absolutely out of this word! Tuna was seared to perfection and the sides were all nicely done and seasoned. Truly recommend the place for fish and seafood lovers! Will definitely revisit.

We were looking for a Greek restaurant and this one pop out as new restaurant in Gtiffintown. Now first I have to say the food is good but there are some things that bothered us:

- Food: We had the lamb and the seafood platter for 2. Lamb was very good. Seafond platter was ok.the squid (what convince us to go there) was too cooked and the rest, shrimp, calamari and fush of the of the day was just ok.nothing standing out

- Place: Very nice place inside, parking wise.good luck.better take a taxi

- Service: Ok service. 2 guys asked us if we wanted water within 30 second intervals and the waiter was just ok. At some point one guy came to ask us if everything was ok and just waited there for finally telling us that he needed the big plate for other customer

- Price: Its very expenive for what it is.now we know we took the lamb and seafood platter but still cost us 240$ with tip and bo alcohol (its bring your own wine)

We left a bit disapointed but the Lamb platter saved the night!

Staff wasnt helpful. Food is not that good either.
False marketing has been done on the menu too.
