Petros Laurier

This place is so cute! The atmosphere is wonderful: white walls, blue accents, antique doors, soft lightening. You are transported to Greece. The hosts are so welcoming, friendly, and fun. The food is great as well, classic Mediterranean.

My friend called Petros the other day to inquire about catering for a birthday she was going to host. The person on the phone was helpful and enthusiastic about the food Petros could offer UP UNTIL he asked how much my friend was willing to pay per head. Her answer = $25 a head. In my mind a reasonable amount for 20 people. The man, named Ted, laughed, told my friend to call up McDonalds, and then put the phone down without another word. He THEN texted my friend the NEXT day saying "for real? Menu for 25$$$, where do you live? Shame on you! " etc etc. Not only was this man, rude and unprofessional but he contacted my friend (a young woman) using her personal number with shaming and explicitly predatory language. I am so disgusted by this behaviour.

I liked very much the food quality, we sat on the terrasse so it's difficult to juge about the atmosphere, the price were a bit on high side.

I really loved the atmosphere and the food were delicious. The aroma of the food makes you feel like you’re in Greece and really love the presentation of each of the food that I ordered. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We've been to Petros Laurier several times over the years and found the food excellent. While usually accompanied by family, my husband and I decided to go again last night because we were both in a "fresh fish" state of mind.
We had a memorable evening. The hosts were in top form the kitchen worked wonders with our Mediterranean Sea Bass and other courses. Consequently, the night was memorable.

We enjoyed our experience at this authentic Greek restaurant located on the eclectic Laurier Avenue Ouest the staff were welcoming and we received excellent service. The food was beautifully presented family style it arrived hot and was delicious. The grilled octopus was a definite hit with everyone

Un vrai régal! L'idéal est clairement de venir à plusieurs afin de pouvoir goûter à plusieurs plats. La spécialité moussaka est un vrai délice! Les quantités sont vraiment bien même si je peux concevoir que pour de gros mangeurs ça puisse chiffrer vite (comme beaucoup de restaurants!). Le service est rapide et courtois. Les courgettes panées excellentes aussi. On reviendra!

Very disappointed by the fact that it mentions on the website it says that all 3 Petros are BYOB, but when we arrived the waiter told us that their location doesn’t allow this, if we knew we wouldn’t have booked that place. It is very frustrating that the website is not accurate.

The food was okay. I've definitely had better Greek. We felt rushed during service too. I wasn't even done eating before the server started clearing all the plates and food. Wouldn't go back.

Amazing food, amazing service. We were a large party (17 people) and the service was attentive, efficient and just all-round excellent. Portions were incredibly generous (but we were thrilled to be able to take home leftovers!). Would highly recommend.

Good service and food but EXTREMELY expensive for what you get (low value) for price paid. Look at menu and prices before you go. Meal for 4 cost 240$

It took forever for the food to come out. Then everything came out at the same time. We ordered three appetizers with the main dish served less than 15mins after. The decorations of restaurant is spectacular but food was underwhelming. It’s missing flavours. Grilled vegetables were plain. Sausage was very dry and too chewy. We order meats and surf and turf, which were dry and missing flavours. The veggies that came with the meats were cold and tasteless. No seasoning. Overall very below average food. I was expecting something decent for the price. Omg they had a hostess who just stood there clueless even when no customers was coming in. It took her a while to realized to go refill water glass and help out the waiters. I hope they improve their food quality.

Nice place, lovely decorations, food really Greek with fantastic taste, should more work on the staff, we enjoyed our dinner

Un des meilleurs grec de Montréal!

Nois avons été accueil dans superbe ambiance. Le personnel est très chaleureux. Nous avons commandé plusieurs entrées dont une salade d'aubergines très bonne avec une petite amertume non agréable en blouche. Les calamars sont une véritable tuerie. De manière générale les produits sont extrêmement frais!

Ok Greek restaurant. The good is ok, but overpriced for what it is. Nothing was amazing other than the wine which was better than average.

Avoid the crab cakes. They are mostly fried bread crumbs and have little to offer other than bulk and greasiness. The fried calamari is good. The Greek salad is overdressed and the tomatoes are quite bland.

Cosy atmosphere, great tasting and generously portioned food. Waiters were amazing. They gave great service, they funny and congenial and were on the ball during the whole service.
Bravo to all the staff.

Je ne serai probablement pas aussi dithyrambique que les personnes qui ont donné leur avis avant moi… mais bon, je me lance!
Pour qui aime l’ambiance méditerranéenne, les murs en bois peints en blanc et en bleu, vous ne serez pas déçus.
Mais vous le serez peut-être par le fumé un peu chimique qui émane des lieux… Il m’aura fallu une demi-heure pour identifier le petit diffuseur électrique de parfum qui était branché à proximité de ma table et qui propageait son parfum musqué de fleurs des bois (ou peut-être était-ce fraîcheur marine, pour des toilettes fraîches, l’histoire ne le dit pas!). Donc pour l’ambiance olfactive, on repassera!
Le service était courtois et attentif. Ce fut apprécié.
Parlons maintenant de la carte… Végétariens, à moins, comme moi, d’être accompagnés par des amis carnivores, faites demi-tour: une assiette de légumes grillés au même prix qu’une côtelette d’agneau, c’est à la limite de l’indécence… Tout bien réfléchi… pour un quart d’aubergine, deux bouts de courgettes et une pelure d’oignon rouge, 25$, c’est bien ce qu’on peut qualifier d’indécence!
Comprenez-moi bien, ils étaient bons mes légumes, mais l’addition a encore du mal à passer, elle.
Les autres entrées au menu étaient également très bonnes. Mais l’amplitude entre les prix me laisse encore songeuse. Quelle pouvait bien être la différence entre mon assiette d’entrée de légumes à 25$ et l’assiette d’accompagnement de légumes à 8$? Je ne le saurai probablement jamais puisque les chances que je retourne manger là-bas sont assez minces…

Perfectly grilled rib steak that could easily feed 3 people, well done Greek classics like tarama, fried zuchinni, spanakopita and a nice list of Greek wines at only $10 mark up. A hidden gem in Outremont.

Absolument délicieux! Les meilleurs mets grecs que j’ai mangé depuis longtemps. Le service était excellent et amical!

Best Greek restaurant in town! Everything from the food to the service is absolutely amazing! Definitely a must go!
