Delicious. You just have to go to the counter after eating and pay, and credit cards work well, and there was no hint at all telling you to pay with cash.

I have not tried many Phos in the city. But I checked a few places with good rates and they all were awful! Pho Bac is the only place that we can find delicious Pho

Decided to just step in to check it out and it absolutely did not disappoint! The food was absolutely immaculate and the soup heat was PERFECT. Will definitely come back

Ordered number five extra large, the overall experience was decent.
The soup was not too salty, but there’s not so much flavor, it’s a bit bland and doesn't taste like MSG.
The quality of meat was subpar. The beef was stuck together, like other reviewers have described.the quantity of meat is a bit on the low side, compared to other pho places.ingredients are not the most fresh.
The service is efficient, but rushed, as you would expect at lunch hour.

Food is super big portion! 3 size and $1 difference as you size up! Soup is yummy! Interior is retro and amazing speed in serving the order!

Maybe they were having an off day. We came on a very busy day after Christmas and some of the competition was closed.

First it took forever to get us seated. They wiped the table with a dirty rag and they didn’t even wipe the table completely and we used our own wet napkins to wipe the table. We had to wait like 15 minutes for the menu and then another 15 minutes to get order taken and food delivered… then they never delivered the spring rolls.

The beef brisket pho (number 5) I had was absolutely terrible. The broth was watery and bland. The beef slices looked like they were thrown in as a block straight from frozen so they were stuck together (as shown in the picture). They also gave us way too little bean sprouts for two large bowls of pho.

The whole time the table felt like grease, similar to how old McDonald’s well seasoned slick plastic tables.

Then when I went to pay at the counter, the stench of rot wafted from the kitchen.

This was just a wholly unpleasant experience. At a minimum, they have quality control issues when they get busy.

Easily my favourite Vietnamese place in Montreal. I've been coming here my entire life! Update: still unrivaled. Update #2: currently live in Ottawa and have found a place that *just* surpasses this, but Pho Bac still has my heart

Been going to Pho bac for pho for many years. I was there just yesterday for lunch and ordered my usual tripe and beef pho and I have to say I was disappointed. The broth was lacking flavour and the beef quality was just really poor. The slices were stuck together and some pieces were hard.
The prices have also gone up since the last time I have been there and I don’t feel the quality reflects the price anymore. I will need to find a new spot to go for pho.

La Pho est très très bonne. L’ambiance est agréable et il y a toujours pleins de monde! Good job. C’est toujours excellent à chaque fois que je viens!:)

Tight little restaurant. Very nice people. I went for take out and the lady told me to “sit my bum” then she poured me a pot of tea to warm me up she said. So kind. The food was alright too! So I went back the second night. Take what out of this. I’ll be going back tomorrow for some more beef soup.

Mon ami et moi cherchions un lieu calme pour manger un bon repas pendant notre visite au quartier chinois. maps donnaient une bonne côté, alors nous avons décidé de l'essayer. Le serveur était rapide et efficace. Nous sommes arrivés peu avant le rush du souper.

J'ai commandé des rouleaux printemps avec un Pho de taille moyenne avec du bœuf et des crevettes. C'était non seulement bon, mais plus que suffisant pour satisfaire mon appétit.

Nous sommes sortis des lieux avec un restaurant bondé. Allez-y un peu avant 17h pour éviter de ne pas avoir de place.

I'm faithful to the pho place I go to back home in Vancouver and this place was totally on par! It was refreshing having a soup after eating so much poutine on the trip!

The taste is good with the right price.
Parking can be tricky. But paid parking lots are available nearby.

There are usually a line up to be seated during peak hours.

Number 7 and rolls are amazing! Service A+

On est jamais déçu chez Pho bac, je prends toujours le même plat avec leurs rouleaux impériaux délicieux! Et le café pour emporter vient dans un gobelet en carton recyclable.service rapide et aimable

Delicious food. Large menu with a lot of different proteins to choose from. They also have combos with soup and imperial rolls. The prices include the taxes! Also they are very reasonable. 24$ for a combo if I remember correctly. It's a little cramped, but that's to be expected. Obviously, parking is very difficult to find in this area.

Soup was amazing, I asked for spicy and was not spicy @ all but the flavours and the quality was there good portion too.

Amazing authentic Vietnamese food. Very low-key family-owned style, don't expect a hype restaurant, though. They now accept card payments, contrarily to many previous reviews.

Since when i need to pay for sharing my plate that i paid for with my friend. Never seen this before
