The absolute best pho in Montreal. The broth is delicious. The imperial rolls are perfect and crunchy. This is the best pho spot. I would eat here every day. I love the renovations but I wish the kept the lighting the same. The bright white lights aren’t welcoming

The broth is clean and slightly sweeter than normal if that is your preference; my friend really liked it.

This has to be one of the best pho places i have been to. I highly recommend it to anyone who l likes pho. The base for the soup is different, and I like it more than other places.

I recently dined at this pho restaurant, and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious. They've clearly put effort into their menu and the renovation of the place, which added to the overall ambiance. The pho was flavorful, and I loved the fresh ingredients they used.

Ordered the pho - it was soooo good! Really flavorful broth, the beef was so tender. Loved it.
My kids ordered the grilled chicken and pork chops with rice, they also loved it and ate every little bit.

Easily my favorite Pho restaurant in the downtown area. The food is flawless and the service is exceptional. The recent renovations add a wonderful modern touch while maintaining its cultural/original look. This is undoubtedly the first place I would recommend to any friends and family visiting downtown Montreal.

The pho here is a bit different from what I'm used to. The broth was kind of sweet and peppery, so I wasn't sure how I liked it. It wasn't bad, but just different. The chicken wings here are super crispy and so worth it-6 for about $6 (compared to how expensive it is in Toronto lol) but the crispy spring rolls were mid. They were just regular spring rolls and not the kind with the super crispy, bubbly exterior, and the filling was chicken which we also weren't used to. Service was great and super helpful, in both English and Vietnamese

A nice small family run restaurant with a delicious authentic pho soup. The staff was very kind and service was quick.

This little pho spot is delicious and understated! The pho was enjoyable and it warmed me up. I know that broth is one of the important qualities of pho, and it disappoint. It was layered and delectable. To top it off, the server was accommodating and kind!

Correct mais je ne renouvellerai pas. J’ai pris une soupe au boeuf très grasse, c’était moyen. Le restaurant est très mal isolé il y avait constamment un courant d’air. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Seriously my favourite pho place in downtown! It’s almost a weekly meal for us and it never disappoints. The fried rolls are to die for and well worth it. Never actually eaten in but for take out it’s fantastic. Wish they would make a fried rice!

It's been a long time since I've enjoyed such a delicious bowl of pho. Honestly, I think many pho restaurants in Hanoi have a long way to go to reach the quality here. Rich, clear and flavorful broth with generous amount of meaty, tender, thin sliced beef, combined with fresh aromatic herbs. Although the rice noodles are not as great as those in Vietnam, they are still very interesting. An authentic experience in Montréal. Highly recommended!

My favorite Viet restaurant in downtown MTL. Hole in the wall gem typa place. My extremely difficult Vietnamese mother approves of their broth so you already know.

Always a good place for pho. Never disappointed with their special pho with all the toppings. And their Vietnamese spring rolls are always great. Perfect soup for winter.

Hidden in a partial basement on the corner of St-Mathieu and Maisonneuve. Street parking. Restaurant can get smoky, but not unpleasant. Friendly hardworking staff. Delicious vegetarian imperial rolls, I like that they're stuffed with taro for a meatier texture and taste. Unfortunately no vegetarian pho option (only vegetable option with beef broth). The broth is clear and delicious. A great place for regular pho and appetizers.

Ordered a beef pho via UberEats. Arrived very well packaged. Enough of everything inside. And the broth made me remember a real home made soup. I would order again!

Came here on a whim with a friend, was quite happy with the pho! And the imperial rolls had taro inside which was surprising. My friend mentioned only the good places have that, it's a more traditional ingredient to use. I'd come back here for pho. Service was friendly as well.

I believe that this place has the best pho in downtown. First time I came here was years back and each time I visit the food tastes always great! They are pretty fast as well.

Service is fast, everything on the menu is great, Pho and bun bo hue is delicious, Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Have only been here once. I had pho. I was so impressed with how tender and flavourful the flank and tendon are. The service was quick and efficient considering how busy they were at the time. Will be back

Despite how small the restaurant looked from the outside the indoors area was quite spacious fitting what looked about 20 ppl inside. The Staff was friendly and took my order quite quickly. Seating itself was nice and clean with a glass divider available to separate people for more covid anxious folk.

I ordered the Phở tôm/Shrimp Pho and Breaded shrimp, the breaded shrimp took about 15 min to come in but they came hot and fresh and were surprisingly large a bit heavy on the batter to for my preference but tasted great. The Pho Tom/ Shrimp Pho came 5 min later piping hot, and while the shrimp looked smaller to me than the ones for the breaded shrimp they did have a lot in the soup which also had a good amount of noodles as well. The soup was a bit saltier and peppery than I originally thought it would be but tasted quite good.

Absolutely delicious! A bit crammed and during covid it was scary.plus the workers were moving back and forth between eating area and back room with their masks below chin. I need to feel safe eating

I have been going to this Pho place since 2014 and have yet to be unsatisfied! Portion size is very good for price and the broth has cured my cold on many occasions. The store may not look like much but the staff is quick and friendly.

Food is great. But I saw two men in the kitchen, where one had his mask up to his mouth only and one who just had it tucked on his chin. I told the serving woman why they're not wearing the mask then she told them to wear it (in their own language I assume). But they didn't even listen and kept their face uncovered. As a person who used to eat here very often, it is sad to see how this place is so unhygienic, especially in times like this.

Best pho in town! Their number 5 Pho Dac Biet is my all time favourite. The broth is rich in flavour. The meal is generous in quantity! The soup paired with a vegetarian spring roll and a vietnamese coffee is a must try!

Amazing vermicelli and pho from a family run restaurant. Quick, friendly, bilingual service and unassuming decoration make it my new go-to place for vietnamese.

The pho was pretty good and I really enjoyed the beef broth with my beef tendon and tripe. It was quite good with a complex taste definitely worth it just for the pho! But I was disappointed by the fresh rolls that had a really underwhelming sauce and had too many noodles in the wrap

I love the place. For Concordia students who want pho i recommend this place the price are super affordable and next to school.the staff is super nice (think is family- own) The quality of the broth is amazing.

Pho Nguyen is one of the top places to get pho in the city, and it is definitely one of the best places to get pho while you are downtown. I really enjoyed going there pre-pandemic, however their food is just as tasty when you get it for take out.

Authentic Vietnamese restaurant which offers foods that will definitely fill that hunger! There is a huge choice of pho to choose from based on your meat preferences; also available are Vietnamese appetizers and desserts all of which are well priced. Good, efficient and courteous service.

I was so devastated when I saw the closure sign at Pho Do Thi it was my spot! Then my bff said I should try her mama's resto and I was Whattttt? ! There's a mama Nguyen! So I run there and Im not disappointed mama Nguyen u will see me again!

Amazing flavors. I’ve had more than enough pho in my time (a staple of mine when visited Vietnam). Some of the best I’ve had in Canada by far and cheaper than what I get in my city. Meat is great, beef balls with good flavour, broth was top notch. Very clean place and decent seating outside with a few tables. Would absolutely eat here again.

I wanted my boyfriend to try pho for the first time ever and fall in love with it- but turns our he probably will never want to try it again after going to this place. I have always been able to finish my bowl of pho and feel happily stuffed and healthy after it, but this time, i onlt managed about a tenth of my bowl. To be fair, maybe I have never tried authentic pho until gping to this restaurant and i didnt know that it is traditionally prepared with organ meat (intestines it seemed to me as well as certain ligaments and very fatty pork meat balls) and maybe that is what made it hard for me to swallow. This was definitely not the traditional westernized version of pho i expected, and because of it, it was very hard for me to stomach. However, the place definitely was full with people who probably know more about what pho is supposed to taste like than me.

Ok so Mtlblog got it right this time one of the best places to eat Pho in Montreal, here the broth is gonna be lighter than other places, but the flavour, the richness, the texture on the noodles it is there, and the meat well in my humble opinion the best, I would appreciate some fresh small chillies on the side but other than that this place is one of my favourite spots on the city, I will be going for sure soon hungry for more.

The pho broth is nice and flavorful and the bowls are also huge (this was a large). The waitress there was also super nice.

The place is below ground and looks run down from the outside, but when you get in, it is very clean. Could use some renovations but otherwise very nice considering the tiny space. At the Pho places back home, they do not put cilantro into the broth. Unfortunately, here, they do add cilantro, and it is so much that it overpowers the whole bowl. I know I am among a very large group of people for which cilantro does not taste appealing at all, so I was a little disappointed.

Great pho soup. I would consider it in the dream bowl rankings, which is pretty high. Staff is very nice. No frills place. Just good inexpensive food.

Stopped by on a whim as the reviews where good and ordered the special soup as recommended by the waiter. It was quite good, had all sorts of ingredients including raw beef, steak, tendons, meatballs and more. The broth is very good which really makes the meal but not all the meats are great so I would likely order a more standard soup next time.

It's a decent place we went upstairs to the sandwich place owned by same family. Sandwich was decent and ambiance nice and it's reasonable priced as well. Great for students. We went to miss Banh mi.

I WOULD PUT ZERO STARS IF I CAN. I am Vietnamese and from Toronto and how can this pho place get a 4.5 stars for pho. This place is terribleee, how do you charge for tea that's should be a standard for a pho restaurant. Am I missing something? Why is this place rated so high for terrible bleach tasting noodles, no tea unless paid extra and small portions for a small bowl while in Toronto everything is given such as tea and a small bowl which cost 6.50 is the size of a large here in Montreal. People in Montreal need to follow up with the pho standard in Toronto if youre paying more then 7 dollars for a small pho it's not worth the time just go eat some poutine or anything else.

EDIT ON MARCH 7 2019: LOL downtown Toronto cost to run is higher but still charge 7 dollars for a small bowl which is larger and comes with tea and far better quality. No place in the world charges for tea in a pho restaurant. Haha

The food is really really good. Pho soup is $1 or $2 more than other places but the chicken is top quality which is important to me. It's always ready for pick up quickly. I love the flavour! Yum! Yum! I have ordered from here many times now and am still satisfied. Finding parking can be quite tricky.

My favourite place to eat, ever. I travel from Boucherville at least once a week to treat myself to the best food in Montreal. Everything is amazing. Awesome date place too. My wife and I love eating there.
