I lost my 785PL plate from my manfrotto MKC03-H01, and i started to look in many sites and to find that this store having one in stock. Email them and they were very responsive. Happy with my buying and also this item is original from manfrotto.

Wow! Photo Service really made a complete 180-degree change in my experience. The day after the incident, I received a call from the rental coordinator who apologized for the situation. He explained that there was some confusion with the initial phone call and was receptive to the feedback I had given. It was a pleasant surprise to see how attentive, apologetic, and flexible they were in finding a solution to change my experience from the previous day. They even offered me a discount on the equipment.

I'm really happy to know that it was all a misunderstanding and I'm very pleased with how receptive and quick they were in resolving the situation. Thank you so much, Charles and the team!

I was looking to rent a camera lens for my trip up north to Quebec. I needed it for a period of 2 weeks and 3 days. I made the reservation through their website a few days before the pickup date. After creating an account, the website allowed me to place the order for the required time. I received a confirmation email stating that they had received my order. Over the next few days, I kept checking my account to see if the status had changed, but it remained the same: 'Réservation non confirmée. '

On the day I was supposed to pick up the equipment, the status hadn't changed, and I hadn't received an email or phone call from them. So, I decided to call the store to confirm if everything was in order for me to come and complete the transaction and pick up the equipment. The person who answered the call explained that I couldn't take the equipment for the requested period because, for first-time renters, they only allow a rental of up to one week. I was quite frustrated because, as I explained to the person, there was no mention of this policy on their website, my account, or in their confirmation PDF. I asked why it wasn't stated anywhere, why the website allowed me to place an order that didn't adhere to their policy, and, most importantly, why nobody from their team had contacted me to let me know that my order was being rejected because of this policy. It was really frustrating to find out about this on the very day I was supposed to pick up the equipment. The lack of communication was particularly frustrating, especially since their policy was not mentioned anywhere on the site or in the contract.

If you have such policies, I'd strongly recommend that you take steps to mention them on your website or restrict the ordering process accordingly, especially if your staff isn't keeping up with incoming orders to approve or reject them promptly. This entire experience was extremely disappointing.

Edited to reply to the business Owner: I gave it another try as it is the closest shop I have to home. The turnaround is still very long, even if films are developed and scanned on-premise (about 5 business days). I haven't gone back since as I'd rather travel to another studio to get my scans next-day for the same price. I may come back if I need films developed in a week turnaround.

Thank you for the apology for the initial mishap. The experience remains sour as I was never acknowledged/sincerely apologized to until your reply, but it's better late than never.

Went is to develop a standard 36-roll and digitize them. Brought film on July 8 and was promised pictures back on July 14 (delivery date was also written on my coupon). Came in today to pay and get the negatives, but the roll was not developed and was told that it would only be ready on the 18th. 6 days to develop a film is already much longer than most studios in Montreal - Photo St-Denis, Studio Argentique, Gosselin have around 48h turnaround including week-end days, - but 10 days is excessive. Disappointed to leave a sub-par review, as I was looking forward to have Photo-Service be my go-to studio close to home.

I recently started a photography business and I have nothing but good things to say about the Photo Lab. I chose Photo Service to print my photos because I was looking for Hahnemuhle Fine Art paper and they are a certified retailer. The two women who run the Mini Lab were very accommodating and helped me work through the printing process. They are also open to discussing projects details with customers.

Very poor customer service!
I asked the guy if he can open the box of the flash diffusers so I can make sure those were the ones I needed
“he was like we’re not opening things here now” of course I didn’t end up buying it! Compared to other Montreal camera stores the customer service was terrible!

Cela fait longtemps que je souhaitais rédiger un "avis" pour Photo Service. Je loue des lentilles chez eux depuis 2015, et ce à tous les ans pour divers événements sportifs (focales 24-70mm & 70-200mm en f/2.8 de chez Nikon), et le service a toujours était EXTRAordinaire, ainsi que de la qualité du matériel loué. J'ai également acheté mon boîtier d750 en 2018 chez eux.

Cette fin de semaine, j'avais décidé pour une fois de louer également un boitier de gamme supérieure (d850), et la qualité du matériel n'a pas failli. De plus, il y a eu une petite incompréhension quant à la date de retour du matériel (contrat de réservation vs contrat de location), et en retournant le matériel loué aujourd'hui, ils ne m'ont pas chargé la différence.vraiment un service clientèle hors pair et très professionnel. Leurs prix sont également super compétitifs, bref je recommande Photo Service à 100% et le magasin continuera d'être ma référence de matériel photo pour les années à venir!

My most recent bad experience was that I made a special order for 35mm film to get a few put aside, and they never called me back. I walked in a month and a half later to find that the film had came in and they simply ignored my special order.

Their customer service is lacking to say the least.
Most of the male staff have a very cold and dry attitude towards new customers. Sometimes even avoiding eye contact while they speak to you. Although the female staff seem to be more welcoming and accommodating.

When I shared my customer experience with a good friend of mine who has been renting at Photo Service for years, she confirmed with me that her photo assistant's (who would go in the return gear) expressed having the same experiences regarding customer service, a dry attitude and sometimes borderline rude. And yet when she goes in her self, she gets great service.
