Pizzeria Magpie Mile End

Ordered two pizzas given the ratings and their brick oven. Pizza looked really good! Unfortunately:

1) Way too small for ~$25+tax!
2) The tomato sauce tasted like canned tomatoes, absolutely no-go for this price.
3) Pizza-doe shouldn't taste like pizza-doe and flour.
4) Burned basil

For $60 very unsatisfied experience. Guess my first and last order. Hope you do better. Cheers

Meatball Pizza/ Sauce, Mozzarella, Homemade Meatballs, Mushrooms, Parsley

First Pizza of the new year coming in hot from @pizzeriamagpie and I have to say it's a banger.
First time trying this spot with my buddy and everything was a hit. We got two pies that day which were the meatball style you see here and the Almonds 3 cheese.

I love the decor of this spot, really gives you a feel of a old school resto with the decorative chilling designs out of what looks like a material resembling copper. The atmosphere I could tell at night when the lights come down almost feels like a old school drinkery.

The first Pizza I got was the Meatball, absolutely loved it. I've never had parsley on a pizza before and honestly I can't imagine whilingly adding it in my own but truthfully it did add something to it. The meatballs were delicious and tender, the sauce was on point and the crust and dough itself was amazing a solid 9/10 for what I like to see.

The almond Pizza is one that my buddy choose. Again not one I'd go out of my way to order on my own otherwise but I'm happy he picked it. 3 cheese from gruyere, ricotta and Mozzarella, toasted almonds with salt and spicy honey. Really a fun combination that just works honestly.

Have to give them a try this new year they really make a great product and fun date night spot.

What a disappointing experience I had at Magpie a few weeks ago.ordered the mortadella pizza (which at $25 is already expensive enough on its own) with a gluten-free crust (the most expensive GF extra I've ever seen). I received a pizza with a couple paper-thin slices of mortadella and barely any visible cheese on it. At that price, I would've expected far more toppings.

The GF crust was good, very decent texture, although a bit sweet for my taste - but definitely not amazing enough to justify a $7 extra! I was really looking forward to being able to eat at such a hyped-up place, but at that price I did not find it worth it.

Bonne pizza mais pas assez cuite et 7$ d'extra pour la pâte sans gluten c'est vraiment de l'abus!

Juste incroyable je recommande fort! Désolé je me souviens plus de ton prénom mais la serveuse bordelaise a été au top!

L'une des pizzas du quartier à essayer sans hésitation. Parfait pour une soirée entre amis ou en famille. Ambiance locale, bons vins et cocktails. En plein coeur du Mile-End!

Absolutely love this place! Im celiac and have had the gluten free crust with no issues many times, though there is the possibility of some cross contamination. The crust is so good, not dough-y and not too thin and crunchy. I love having the option to come and have a gf pizza with fresh, homemade feeling ingredients. Drink menu is good too; I had a couple cocktails and my girlfriend had a cider and all were nice. Great option for the price with good and quick service.

Food and service good. One hick was the A/C wasn't working. It's not the staffs fault for the breakdown. I recommend Magpie

Delicious pasta and bolognese sauce. Wine was very good as well but they didn’t have wine glasses which was odd. Pizza my friends got looked very good as well.

The best place to get neapolitan pizza that we have found in Montreal. If you cannot dine in, there is a small area with tables one street before the pizzeria where you can go eat. On a nice day, i would rather do this. Loved it!

Une belle découverte dans le mile end. Les pizzas sont délicieuses bien garnies, l’accueil irréprochable et le spritz est bon)

Not really much to say other than great pies, which we all three greatly enjoyed. Would go back any day.

Pizzeria Magpie was quite simple the best dining experience I’ve ever had in my whole life. Not only did the servers each have a cool unique sense of style but they were so attentive and accommodating to all the customers needs. The kitchen staff could be seen from inside the restaurant and they appeared to be working extremely while displaying a heartwarming sense of camaraderie. I tell everyone I know to go there and they always have an amazing experience each time, finally I’ve tried countless Pizzerias in Montreal and this one it the best, the crust is perfect and the menu offers amazing options and varying specials week to week! Would give ten stars if I could!

Un saut en Italie! Pizza au feu de bois, décoration typique, un petit espace où on se sent bien! Le service carbure, ça fait plaisir à voir. Et le principal, les pizzas sont excellentes! À faire sans hésiter. Seul (petit) point d'amélioration, les verres pour servir le vin. Un verre à pied serait apprécié.

I ordered the three cheese and let me tell you it was such a great pizza, the ingredients were fresh it was simple and perfectly balance I'm so glad i also add the frozen margarita for later

Alright but expensive. Pizza was fired in a wood oven, but it was pretty standard overall. Staff was friendly.

Really good pizza dough, a bit doughy and saucy and overall good great pizza for the price. Excellent packaging!

One of my favourite pizza places in Montreal, the meat balls are a must, and the oysters were really fresh. The waiters are very nice but a little distracted, the ambiance is cosy and perhaps a tad quiet sometimes but I feel it is also part of their location as much more inferior pizza places in the area really busy.

Definitely the best pizza in Montréal, and the chocolate cake is out of this world! Plus the staff is wicked cool!
