Pizzeria NO.900 - Monkland, Montréal

This is our neighborhood pizza place. Pizza really good. My choice is grilled vegetables. The service is amazing. The place is bit small and in winter it's too hot inside so try to set away from the oven as possible (close to front windows). You won't regret eating here

I come here all the time for their smoked meat pizza and the service by Julianne and Kaelan is simply the best.good drinks, good vibes and the best service!

Amazing food! The best highlight was the service by Julianne. Great vibes, funny, attentive and a great smile! I would come back just to get served by her again. We killed the food btw.

The pizzas were delicious, and the service (Julianne was amazing!), and the music was great! Burrata appetizer and anchovies pizza were my favourite.

My visit to this branch was generally pleasant. The staff was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was nice. However, I was a bit disappointed as my pizza had a burnt bottom.
Nonetheless, the other aspects of the experience were positive, with good food. I would try again in different branches.

Service was so slow, it took about 30minutes for the waitress to take our order, and then 1hr to receive our food, we had to take it to go because we had an appointment.
There was only 1 waitress in the resto!
Managers need to hire more waitresses.

We could attribute a sixth star! Best pizza in a very long time, in a European bistro-bar atmosphere, tastefully decorated. Great service by Oceane and Marianne, and most authentic flavors. The pizza dough and the passata on the margarita were perfect. Do not miss this!

The pizza was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. Julianne was our waitress, she was awesome! My girlfriend and I ordered the Charlevoix and the Asperge du Québec, and they were both fantastic. The dough was light and crispy, the toppings were fresh, and don't forget to ask for the chili oil! It's free and really takes the pizza to another level. It's not cheap, about 20$ pre-tax per pizza, but if you want a good pizza, definitely come here.

It is a franchise, but still feels like a small, local, Italian pizzeria.

Only small downside is, that it can get a a bit cold, if many patrons arrivé or leave, because there are no double doors.

Absolutely amazing experience. The pizzas are beyond good. The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is great. I highly recommend!

Wow. Merveilleux restaurant je recommande fortement! La polenta est délicieuse et la pizza aux légumes grillées est délicieuse et surtout ne partez pas sans avoir essayer le gâteau au fromage. De plus, Camille et Caroll-Anne donnent un excellent service:)

Caroll-Anne was an amazing and sweet server! We enjoyed the antipasti sharing option the most! I would have liked spicier peppers/chilli oil to add on the pizza.

We adored the place, the food and the service. I ordered a pizza that was recommended by our server Mariam because I didn't know what to take (so many good options), and she really gave me the best recommendation according to my tastes.

Fair prices, tons of choices and most importantly, delicious pizzas. The restaurant is quite small however, so you might need to wait a while for a table during busy hours.

The one star for the cute lights on the terrace. Food not amazing menu limited and service not great.

Service is really friendly and good but the pizzas are not great. Have eaten here in the past and usually had good food but the past to visits have been disappointing. Crust is too chewy and way too much tomato sauce. Sauce is also very acidic. We had 3 pizzas and were all disappointed.

Eaten here a few times. Pizza is very disappointing, probably 2 stars considering the price. Very doughy base which was burnt. Toppings were quite tasteless. Wouldn’t go again.

I usually am not a lover of thin crusted pizza. I was pleasantly surprised how it was. Skip the ceaser salad. It wasn't very good. The service was very good.

My husband and I met several friends in Montréal for the Canadian GP! We stayed at a house near Monkland, and stopped in for dinner one night. They were able to accommodate us inside, and provided menus in both French and English. Good beer selection, wines and liquor as well. We all ordered a antipasta plate, and different pizzas, and they were all excellent! Very Naples, Italy style, and had the nice chewy crust! The service was welcoming, fun, and very nice. They do a lot of take out as well, and can back up the kitchen. But we didn't care as we just enjoyed another beer and the company. Thank you for an excellent experience!

Ordered three Margarita pizzas for takeout yesterday, once I got home and opened the boxes saw that one is complely burned. Extremely disappointed as my kid could not eat it at all. In the past have ordered from other 900 locations in Griffintown, Outremont and on Peel st and never had anything burned like this one.

With more than 45 minutes before closing, we were turned away under the pretext that the kitchen had closed. When asked about the closing time on the door, we were rudely brushed off.

1er essai sur Monkland. Ai essayé celui du centre ville et de la rue Bernard. Serveur très gentil et patient. Pizza au prosciutto excellente, beaucoup de roquette et de prosciutto! Pizza margherita antica très bonne aussi.

This has been the worst pizza experience I’ve ever had. We ordered two pizzas: fig and pancetta, and smoked meat. Besides it took over 45 minutes to be served, the pizzas barely had ingredients and the dough had no flavor. The fig and pancetta should be call “arugula” pizza because that’s all what we had, among some crumbs of goat cheese.
The smoked meat pizza barely had meat and the amount of cheese was ridiculous: just in the very center and that was it, so the exterior of the pizza was just dough. Plain and unflavored dough.

We ate it because we were starving, but 60 dollars for that poor quality is totally unacceptable.

NO FLAVOR AT ALL AND EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY.

My wife and I decided to taste a perfect italian pizza. Ended up to this place. Pizza was fabulous and the beer was awesome and Betty is one of the best waitresses that we've ever seen. She's so nice and helpful and will walk you throught the whole menu with all details. We will definitely go to this place again.

De pire en pire, pizza pas cuite, la pâte était complètement blanche et la pizza minuscules, je ne commanderai plus.

The Salad was perfect, but the pizza was "regular".

Another place that I used to love that has absolutely gone to ruin.

I used to be excited to order from there but I ordered the prosciutto pizza from there tonight and it was, frankly, pathetic. Two overripe cherry tomatoes on the entire pizza, funky and chewy prosciutto that was obviously as far from fresh and high quality as you can get, and an underbaked pizza. I can't imagine an oven running at 900 degrees could underbake a pizza to this extent.

I know the pandemic has been hard on businesses, but this is going to be a hard pass for me in the future.

The pizza would be perfect if they added more cheese (please, you guys have a premium pizza, don't be cheap on the cheese - in Italy they are not). The ambiance and service are great.

This was probably the worst pizza we have ever had. I cannot say anything bad about service - it was fast and good. But my goodness. The oven is not hot enough and it makes the dough super soft. There was too much sauce and hardly any cheese.

After waiting more than a year to get Pizza because of Covid. We were terribly disappointed. We ordered two identical pizzas. One was fine the other had been burned so badly (charred) on the underside. It was black and tasted horrible. We returned the pizza nd the waitress said that they will make another one. The second one arrived just about the same way burned! The waitress said that is was fine, that is the way they bake them. We were regular clients for a long time before the pandemic and never had a burned Pizza. On top of that we were charged an extra dollar for each Pizza. Needless to say we will not go back. You can do better. Melrose pizza on Sherbrooke St.does not burn their Pizza. Neither does the 900 in Westmount.

We ordered from doordash and it took 90min to deliver when it said 30-40min plus they forgot all our drinks! - terrible service, use another location to avoid surprises

Pizza no 900 is my favorite pizza in town: I ve been to their restaurants in Old Montreal, Bernard Street and Westmount numerous times. After 18 months outside of the country I was looking forward to trying their Monkland branch. Went on a weekday with a friend, just as the lunch hour was about to end. We were the only ones waiting for a table. A table was empty and we asked to be seated. The waitress refused to seat us as “this is a table for 4”. Mind you, there were other 4-seat tables with 2 guests. By the way, the tables were tiny and close to each other. The waitress preferred waiting for a potential party of 3 or 4 customers than sitting down 2 customers who were ready to order. We took our business elsewhere on Monkland, where we felt more welcome. I still look forward to eating pizza no 900 but at other branches.

Really amazing.food was good and the waitress who served us tonight was just wonderful. (The one with curly long hair) They were busy but she tried her best to accomodate us always with a smile. SHE DESERVES A RAISE

Worst pizza I have ever had! Both for my wife and mine: The dough was chewy, pizza itself was dry no taste. You order a buffala and you get a cheese ball size of a babybel when for the same price somewhere else you get way more cheese and tomatoes that you CAN actually share. I will never go back there! Never! Ill stick to Baccaro when something is good you don’t change it for bad! On Monkland Slice and Soda and Baccaro are way better!

I've been to this place many times and everytime I just wanna go back for more.
In my opinion they offer one of the best pizza in Montreal, hands down the best in NDG. The staff is always very welcoming and the pizza never fails to still my hunger.
10/10 I will keep going until the day I die.

We waited 35 min for a margarita pizza. It was lukewarm when we got to the car, steps away, and tried a slice. We were offered cannolis for the wait but we refused because we didn't have the time. Had to get home for work. There were 5 other clients in the restaurant. 2 kitchen staff, 2 up front and the owner. Quite dissapointing especially since there really aren't other options for stone oven pizza in NDG.

I was craving Neapolitan-style pizza for a change so I ordered a few pies from this place for delivery. To my disappointment, the pizzas were burnt from the bottom. I know that a bit of charring on the crust adds a nice smoky flavour but our pizzas were plain acrid.

Place was packed. Waited about 10 minutes till an employee approached asked us for the size of our party. He pointed to a table and told us it would be ours soon as it was bussed. Soon as it was bussed another group just sat down at it. A few minutes later another employee approached asked us the size of our party and if we wanted to sit inside or outside. Responded we would take what ever was available. She then proceeded to seat the couple behind us told us to wait and that she would check on the table inside. She returned and told us it would then be another 15 minutes.

TLDR waited 25 min and had two tables given to other patrons behind us in line.

Leaving this review on behalf of my mom, she said the pizza she ordered today at lunch came burnt and inedible, when she brought the matter to the server the response was merely an "I'm sorry".

Appallingly terrible rice flour dough, for starters. I was looking for a good gluten-free pizza option. I figured that since they actually offered rice flour as an option on their menu (for $3 extra), that they had some handle on how to make it good-at least somewhat. I was very wrong. The dough was thin, hard, difficult to chew, and had crunchy burnt parts that were altogether inedible. Not to mention, there were barely any toppings. To add insult to injury, I had ordered Pancetta and Figs, one of the priciest pizzas on the menu. On top of that, my man and I ordered a large Caesar salad to go, and when we opened the box we found it was nothing but a $10 box of lettuce with a few measly bacon bits and nothing else. Sauce was nothing special. We had to dress the salad up ourselves. Altogether surprising stuff when spending $55 for 2 people-from a place with such a reputation. I'd say it's good if you're getting a pizza with regular dough (though not mind-blowing), but avoid the Caesar, and if you're gluten free, steer clear.

Pizza is good yet not the best that can be found on the same street. The guy that took our over was all over the place and slightly rude.

Pizza done right. Thin crust pizza, woodfire oven, fresh ingredients and delicious combinations. Simple lunch or dinner spot and the price is great too, very welcome restaurant to the monkland area.

Pizza was so not good came ice cold and service was okay the kitchen staff were not wearing gloves and washing and cleaning there hands

Good food, nice terrace. Good evening in the summer. It took a while before a waiter came to see us at the beginning but overall good experience

Absolutely excellent pizza. Also has a nice deck for eating outside on warm summer nights. Definitely one of the more authentic pizza restaurants in Montreal and well situated in the middle of Monkland village. The father of a good friend of mine who is first generation Italian cleaned it was one of the best pizzas he ever had - high praise indeed.

Best authentic tasting pizza I've had - it reminded me of my trip to Italy. Simple quality ingredients, great portion sizes, great ambiance. Loved it, will definitely go back!

Amazing pizza cooked with wood in a brick oven. Definitely worth it to try they have only one size of pizza good for one person.

Incredibly slow, last three times I've been there there was always something wrong with the order and had to send it back.

One oven to cook for the whole restaurant plus a multitude of take out delivery services caused a decline in quality

Great outdoor patio with comfortable seats or tools to look at passers by. Pizza was a delicious light thin crust with quality toppings. Not the place for a heavy filling pizza but more refined over pizza. Cesar salad was okay, light on bacon bits and no croutons. Service didn't miss a beat and was friendly.

I thought the pizza was alright, not spectacular. The sauce was good. I liked the ratio of sauce to cheese as a lot of places don't do this to my taste. I asked for extra mushrooms, which was an added cost as advertised at the bottom of the menu. My issue wasn't with the cost, but with the quantity of mushroom added. It looked like they chopped a single white mushroom and that was it. Price overall was above average. Given the above, I can't recommend this place. There are way better places both nearby and within a 10 minute drive.

Éviter à tout prix la livraison à la maison. 115$ de pizza qui sont arrivées froides malgré que je reste à 3 coins de rue. Qui goûtent le carton car mises chaudes dans les boites et livrés après plus 1 heure et demi. Toutes les croûtes étaient brûlées. La garniture est quasi inexistante et de piètre qualité. Notre soirée en famille avec nos enfants et petits enfants a été gâchée.

Ya.that be a good place! Helpful knowledgeable & friendly staff offering a simple but authentic trattoria type menu of amazing pizzas & excellent cured meats. Small, hospitable & sincere at very reasonable prices considering the quality of offerings. Will be there again and again.

Made a reservation for a work event and then showed up to be told they don’t take reservations so too bad. A bit of a disappointment to say the least. We went next door instead.

BEST PIZZA I've had in a VERY LONG TIME! The place was busy when we got there. We waited a few minutes at the entrance, and were given a place at the bar. Service was prompt, and the food was amazing! BEST WOOD-BURNING PIZZA IN THE CITY! Thanks for the experience, I will be back! Cheerio.

C'est la 2e fois que je me présente une dans une pizzeria numero 900 les pizzas en moyenne sont relativement bonne et le service est toujours très amical je recommande fortement d'essayer ce restaurant

Our group had to wait a while before getting us seated. The staff were very welcoming, served us drinks while we sat at the bar. The neapolitan pizzas were great! You can tell that the ingredients used were fresh. The antipasto plates were good but wished there was more for the price.

I heard a lot about it. I was dissapointed: too much oil, too greasy and the flavors were not there. Maybe it was me since i'm used to the pizza with lots of ingrédients.

Une seule étoile, c’est pour critiquer le service de commande par internet. Le temps d’attente un vendredi soir a été déraisonnable. Il suffirait de presque rien pour aviser la clientèle à l’avance. Au moins on aurait su, on aurait pu changer d’idée ou simplement s’attendre à manger plus tard. La pizza de 900 est malheureusement victime de son succès.

Food was great and so was the service. Sadly the sitting room was cold from the exterior door being opened. A lot of people were eating with their coats and scrafs on.
